The Meeting
“Sara, you have to come with me. I need you to go!” Kim said over and over. “Why is it so important for me to go? Can’t you go meet this guy yourself?” Sara replied. She was getting a bit annoyed. Kim was never so insistent, why now? Kim knew she had to come up with a good enough answer if she really wanted her friend to go with her. “You know how much this guy means to me right?” she asked. “Yeah, you tell me like every time I talk to you. Which is why I don’t understand why you need me to go this time with you to meet up with him.” Sara explained.
“Well it’s like this. He knows that you are like one of my best friends. And I try to do anything I can for you. So he helped me pull something off that you will love. Please come with me Sara? You’ve got to come!” Sara thought a few moments before responding. “I am sorry Kim. I do not even know this guy. There is no way I can go and accept some gift from you and him. I just can’t do it!” With those words she turned to walk away. “If you do not come with me tonight, it will be the worst mistake you could ever make. And when it is too late and you know what it was I was trying to do, you’ll hate yourself for it. I promise you this!” Kim stated as she walked out the door.
Sara watched her friend walk out the door and began to wonder what she meant. “What could be so important to her for me?” she asked herself. And what did this guy friend of hers want that he was so willing to help her out. Sara knew that Kim had been seeing this guy for a few months. But she had kept him a secret. She said no one would believe her even if she did tell who he was. And she wasn’t sure how things would turn out, and she didn’t want to put herself through any pain. “I don’t see what my going could do to hurt or help the situation. But if this is going to get her off of my back and make her happy, than I guess I have got to go!” Sara finally decided.
She walked to her phone and picked it up, dialing the familiar number. “Hello?” she heard her answer. “Hey! I’m sorry. I don’t know why I flipped out earlier. If it means that much to you that I go with you later tonight, count me in!” Kim started to squeal at her end of the line. “Oh my god! You are so going to thank me when you know what I have planned for you!” Sara could only imagine what she had up her sleeve this time. But she had already said she would go. So she couldn’t back out of it now. “Sara, be in one of your best outfits, look great, and be ready in 2 hours!” was all she heard her friend say before hanging up her end.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An Hour and 45 Minutes Later ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kim knocked on the front door before letting herself in. “Hey girl! I’m here! You almost ready?” she called into the house. She heard rustling coming from the stairway around the corner and went to see if Sara was there. When she seen the sight before her, she let out a small gasp. There coming down the steps was one of the most beautiful girls she had ever seen. Sara had done herself up good. Wearing a knee length black silk dress. It hung loosely off of her shoulders, with a small strap around her throat. She wore her hair up in a French twist that left the strands at the top in soft curls.
There was little make-up on her face. Just enough lipstick in a sheer color to make her lips glisten under the right lighting. And a touch of eyeliner that made the color of her eyes stand out. She wore a gold necklace, which held her most valued charm. Her nameplate that was very fragile. She also wore a pair of small hoop earrings.
“So is this good enough?” Sara asked as she reached the bottom step. “Hot dayum girl! You look good! Yeah, you’re perfect!” was the answer that met her. She stood looking at her friend who wore something simple. She wore a black velour dress that fell to mid thigh on her. Accompanied by small black boots and a very fine silver chain with a cross around her neck. “Well, are we ready to get what ever you are dying to give me?” Sara laughed as she said it. Kim grabbed her hand and pulled her out the door. They jumped into her new royal blue jeep wrangler. “You are so going to love me tonight Sara! I promise!” The girls talked as they drove to their destination.
Kim had decided on meeting at the local beach. They had arranged to have it all to themselves. They paid money to have it closed except for them that night. They parked and Kim was walking towards where they had decided to wait for each other. Kim could see him sitting in the distance. She felt her heart flutter, as it always did when she seen him. She turned and looked to Sara. Now was the time to tell her. She was going to find out in a few minutes anyway.
“Sara, you know this guy I have been seeing for the past couple of months?” she started. “Yeah, what about him?” Sara answered. “You know how I would never tell anyone who it was because I always said nobody would believe it anyway right?” “Yeah?” was Sara’s questioned reply. “Well you are about to meet the reason why I never told anyone the truth. So I guess I should at least prepare you for it!” “What exactly are you talking about Kim? Prepare me for what?” “Well you see, who is the one person that if I ever told you I even met, let alone was dating, you would call me insane?” Sara was quiet and wouldn’t answer her question. “If you don’t know the answer, you will in a minute!” With those words, Kim took off jogging towards the man sitting in the sand about twenty feet from them.
Sara watched her go to this man and wrap her arms around him. “So this must be the boyfriend she was talking about!” she said as she watched them embrace. She thought he had a familiar look to him, but she wasn’t sure being so far away from him. Just then she noticed they were walking towards her. As the man got closer, Sara could see clearer and clearer just who he was. She felt her heart in her throat. “There is no way!” she said to herself. As Sara was about to say something, Kim introduced him. “Sara, meet Nick. Nick, this is the one whom you hear so much about!” Nick smiled and walked up to Sara, pulling her into a gentle hug. “It’s nice to finally meet the girl I hear the world about!” She blushed.
The three decided to sit and talk awhile while they waited for their other guest to arrive. They walked to the blanket already planted in the sand near the water. Sitting down, Nick and Sara did most of the talking, getting to know each other. After about twenty minutes of chatting, Kim seen him strolling towards them. She gently nudged Nick and looked towards that direction. Nick looked up and seen him coming. He wanted to really surprise Sara. So he looked at Kim and said, “Mind if I talk to you for a few minutes? Alone?” Kim smiled and nodded her approval. They excused themselves and stood up. They walked a few feet away and turned to watch the sight before them. But made it unnoticeable to Sara.
Sara sat watching them walk away then decided to walk towards the water to watch its waves crashing on the shore. She stood there oblivious to what was happening around her. He seen her standing there alone, and made his move. He walked up behind her and leaned forward enough to whisper softly in her ear. “Beautiful isn’t it?” Sara jumped at the words because he had startled her. She turned quickly to see who was talking to her. When she turned, she looked right into the eyes of the man of her dreams.
She couldn’t believe this. She stood there in shock. So amazed even, she couldn’t find her voice. He noticed this, and decided to talk first. “The sight before you. Isn’t it beautiful?” She knew he meant the ocean, yet still she felt her face redden. Tearing her eyes away from his, she looked out across the water. “Yeah. Even more than I ever thought!”
He reached out and grabbed her hand. “Hello! I’m Brian!” Sara turned towards him again. “Sara.” As she said her name, Brian pulled her into a hug, kissing her cheek. “Pleasure to meet you Sara!” he whispered into her ear. Again she blushed. She pulled herself out of his arms to stand back and look at him. She was still in shock. But it was slowly wearing off as she stood looking into his eyes. “Was this what she had planned for me?” is all Sara could think. She turned to look at her friend standing a few feet away. She saw Kim and Nick engaged in what seemed to be an interesting talk of their own. Brian saw the direction in which she was looking.
“We don’t need them. Let them have their time together. Let us go get to know each other!” Brian said to her. She looked to see him starting off towards where she had left the blanket sprawled out on the sand. He walked over and sat making himself comfortable. She went to join him. Sara was not sure how she should act. She didn’t want to make herself look like a fool in front of him. As she approached him, he reached out his hand to her to motion for her to sit next to him. She sat a safe distance from him, not wanting him to be afraid of how she would act around him. He noticed how far away she sat and moved himself closer to her.
“Don’t be afraid of me. I won’t bite!” he said to her. She smiled at the words. “Unless you ask nicely that is!” he added. She laughed this time. “Well. How hard would you bite?” she asked teasing back. She felt herself relax a little. “Maybe this won’t be that bad” she thought. He thought for a moment before answering this one. “Want me to demonstrate?” “Maybe some time I may take you up on that offer!” she answered before thinking. Again she blushed because of him. He noticed that she was still a bit nervous around him. “How about we get to know each other better before we go trying to bite each other?”
She looked directly at him. “I think that is a great idea!” At the decision, the two sat and started talking about their lives. Letting the other into the circle around themselves. They talked about things they never thought they would be so willing to share with a complete stranger. Neither noticed that Nick and Kim had left a while ago. The two lovebirds had strolled down the beach and made themselves comfortable far away from their friends. As Sara and Brian talked, they discovered all they shared in common. It made them feel much more at ease with each other. Brian could already feel the attraction he felt for this girl. Yet he was afraid to voice it to her.
Finally he was tired of just talking. He looked around them and seen the radio that Nick had left sitting there. “Sara, want to dance?” he asked her. She laughed. “With what music might I ask?” She hadn’t noticed the radio. He pointed towards it and seen her smile. “Did you have all this planned or something?” she asked him. “Actually, I just seen it there. No offense, but I am tired of talking. I want to move. I love to dance.” He stood up and reached his hand down to her, “Care to join me on this one?” She laughed as she stood up, taking hold of his hand. “Maybe one time won’t hurt!” Brian walked to the radio and tuned in one of his favorite radio stations.
She stood and went into his waiting arms. The music filling the air was an unfamiliar song to her. But the pace of the music was nice for a neither non-slow nor fast dance. They got the feel of each other’s dancing and were dancing nicely just as the song ended. Brian looked pleadingly into her eyes, “One more please?” he asked sweetly. There was no way she could say no to him. The next song began to fill the air. This was a much slower song. He pulled her deep into his embrace and began to sway softly against her. She started to move her body in time with his.
They continued their dancing right through to the next song, not noticing that it had changed. The next song was a little faster. Both of them moved their bodies even closer to each other to dance closer than before. Brian wrapped his arms around her tighter and laid his forehead on her shoulder. She leaned her head onto his. They were swaying in time to the music, when she felt it. The contact he made. The small soft kisses on the side of her neck. She jumped a little from both pleasure and being startled by this sudden movement. She then leaned closer to him, encouraging him to keep this up. Suddenly she felt his tongue run along the strap of her dress. This sent shivers down her spine. He felt her body shiver and pulled away from her.
“Sara, I am sorry. I didn’t,” he started to say. But she cut him off. She leaned towards him and met his lips with hers. At first unsure as to why she was doing this, she was careful with the kiss. But she soon realized that they both wanted it and she made it deeper. Brian again pulled her tightly closer to him. Both were so into what was going on between them that neither noticed Nick and Kim had made their way back near them.
Kim stopped in her tracks and pulled Nick closer to her. “Look at that. Looks as though they are going to get along just fine!” Nick smiled before pulling her in for a kiss. “Looks as though someone knew what she was doing when she suggested we get them together.”
Brian and Sara stood there looking deep into each other’s eyes after they broke the kiss. Neither sure what words were right for this moment. Suddenly they felt the presence of their friend’s near them. Sara looked to see Kim smiling widely as they approached. Kim walked up to Sara and whispered innocently into her ear, “I see you found my surprise!” Sara smiled a quick smile. “Can I talk to you?” she turned and asked her. Kim was confused by this, but agreed. The two girls excused themselves and walked away to talk privately.
As soon as they were out of earshot, Brian took the opportunity to talk to Nick. “My god Nick. Why did you wait so damn long to get us together? She is an angel.” Nick smiled and was ecstatic to hear that his friend liked Sara. “Well actually, it wasn’t even my idea. It was all my pretty little lady’s over there. Sara is one of her closest friends. And she wanted this for her. I told her a little more about you each day and she only felt more and more that you and Sara would click. So it was her doing.” Brian grinned like a fool. “Yeah, we clicked okay. I want to be with her. I have known the girl a whole of maybe an hour, and I know I want to be with her!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The girls stopped at a few large rocks. Sara sat and motioned for Kim to do the same. Kim sat and turned to Sara waiting to hear what she had to talk to her about. “So what’s up?” she finally asked her. Sara turned and looked at her friend. “Kim, why? Why this? Why this and not tell me?” Kim sat looking at her. “What do you mean Sara? You make it sound like I have done a bad thing here. All you have ever dreamed of is meeting Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys. I pull it off for you, and this is how you repay me? Or even say thank you? By yelling at me for doing it? If that is the case, I truly am sorry I even made this possible!!” Kim yelled before turning to stomp away in anger.
Sara jumped to her feet and pulled Kim into a hug. “I am sorry! I am grateful. Maybe more than you will even know. I just wish I knew that you have been dating a Backstreet Boy these past few months. Wish I had known I had a slight chance of meeting the man of my dreams. Wish I‘d known whom I was meeting tonight. God, I think I acted like such a klutz back there. He was getting kind of personal on me, so what do I do? Turn and kiss him. I think I may have scared him off Kim.” Sara said to her. She sounded as though she was scared she might have done just that.
Kim looked over towards where Brian and Nick stood talking. She noticed Brian kept looking their way. “Sara sweetie, Brian keeps looking over here at you. I honestly don’t think you scared him. I think you only made him want you more!” Sara laughed. “Want me? I don’t think so!” The girls laughed together before Kim added in, “Sara, did you not see the way he was looking at you? The way he IS looking at you? Go ahead, turn around!” Sara slowly turned around to see Brian anxiously waiting for her to get back to him. Sara smiled at him. “I guess you are right Kim!” “I know I am!” was the reply that met her. “Now go have some fun with the guy. I think Nick and I are going to head on out. Brian has his car so he can bring you home.”
She smiled at her friend. She was lucky to have her, and she knew it. “Kim, thank you! Thank you for everything! I really mean that!” Sara said before Kim could walk off. Kim turned and smiled at her. “Anytime girly! Now just have fun! And don’t do anything I wouldn’t do with Nicky!” Sara let out a long hard laugh. “Which would be?” she asked sarcastically. “Exactly!” Kim said. They laughed again together before walking back to the men awaiting them. Nick and Kim said good bye to Sara and Brian, and let them be. Brian waited until he seen them climb into Nick’s Durango before he turned to Sara.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So..” Sara started, before Brian cut her off mid-sentence. “I am sorry Sara. I never should have started kissing on you that way. I never wanted to make you feel as though you had to do anything in return or feel uncomfortable around me. God that is the last thing I want!” Sara smiled a big smile. “Is that what you think? That you doing what you did makes me feel like not wanting to be around you?” Brian looked confused. “Well isn’t it?” Sara laughed this time. “Brian. Yes! It is true that I feel uncomfortable being alone with you. But not for the reasons that you are thinking. I have always wanted to meet you. And now that I have, I am not so sure how to act around you. I don’t want to do anything to make you think ill of me. I don’t want to act like a geek. I don’t want you to think I am too easy. Nothing like that. I want you to know me and like me for me.”
Not being able to stand it any longer, Brian walked up and wrapped his arms around her waist. “Sara, you are perfect. I want to know you. You including any faults you have. Your shyness, dorkiness, whatever. I want to know EVERYTHING there is to know about you!” She blushed. “You have no idea how long I have dreamed that you would say that to me.” Brian leaned close to her and whispered, “Well dream no more. Here I am. Here I want to stay!” As he said the last words, he let his lips gently graze hers. She again shuddered at his touch. He felt this and knew now that it was him that made her do this, and he went to pull away.
She felt his hesitance as he went to pull away. She instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, curling her fingers in the hair on the nap of his neck, and pulled him back into the kiss. She deepened it to her liking. The two stood there kissing for what seemed like hours before either pulled away. Each needed to catch their breath. Staring into each other’s eyes, a non-spoken agreement was made. This was the beginning of something that was going to last. She went and sat on the blanket awaiting his presence beside her. Not a moment later he was there. He turned towards her again, to capture her lips in a kiss. This time he lay her back to take this to the next step.
Brian lay her back on the blanket, as he began to kiss her gently. She wrapped her arms around him again, not wanting to let him go. He kissed her softly at first. After a few moments of this light kissing, he started to deepen the kisses. He rubbed his hands over the small of her back, causing her to moan into his mouth. She moved her hands to his back so she could create the same feeling for him. Suddenly Brian pulled away from her. He moved so he could lean on his arms above her, and look into her eyes. He looked deep into them without saying a word. Finally he stood up and walked away from her.
Sara watched him get up and walk away. “Oh my god! What did I do wrong now?” she asked herself. She sat there and didn’t move. Brian turned and looked at her, and his eyes said it all. “Are you coming or not?” they seemed to shout to her. Sara quickly jumped to her feet and ran behind him. Just as she reached him, he pulled her into his arms and lifted her off of the ground. She wrapped her legs around his waist. He whispered huskily into her ear, “I want to make love to you Sara.”
She shuddered as she heard him say the words. Brian sat gently on the sand, lying her on the cool ground. She looked at him quizzically, but was soon answered without asking the question. A small wave of water came rushing towards them and washed them both over. She smiled when she realized what it was he wanted. To make love in the ocean water. Sara reached her hands to her shirt, and began to un-button one button at a time, slowly. Brian watched her and soon followed her lead. He lifted his shirt over his head and tossed it aside.
He lay over her and began to kiss her slowly, from her mouth, to her neck, where he nibbled gently. She ran her hands up his bare back as he continued to kiss her skin. Letting her tongue snake out and touch the sensitive spots of his neck and throat. They lay there teasing and tasting each other. Brian then sat up, pulling her to sit with him. He reached behind her to unclasp her bra. As it fell from her body, he threw it aside. They helping each other remove their remaining clothing filled the next few minutes.
Sara lay back pulling him on top of her. He began to kiss her. Then pulled away to look into her eyes. He wanted to make sure she was ready for this. That he wasn’t forcing this on her. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him close to her again. “Brian…. Please..” she whispered into his ear. After hearing her voice, he knew that she wanted this as he did.
He positioned himself over her so he could enter her easily. She moaned as she felt him fill her. Brian started and kept up a slow steady pace. They lay there making love in the ocean water, for what seemed like hours. They reached their final climaxes together. Afterwards, hey lay in each other’s arms, until both their breathing had come back to normal.
Sara got to lean on one arm so she could look at him. Brian followed her lead, and got up on one arm. “Sara..” he started before she placed her fingers to his mouth. “Sshhh!” she told him. She leaned over and kissed him softly on the lips, before standing up. Brian watched her walk away and begin to gather her clothing. He wasn’t sure what was going on now.
“Sara?” he called to her. He stood to walk to her. “Sara? What are you doing?” he asked again. “Brian, I am sorry. This was a mistake. As much as I love you. I know this will never work. You will leave me tonight and never look back. This shouldn’t have happened!” She covered her eyes quickly, for she felt the tears stinging behind her lids. Brian walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her. “Is that what you think? That I would, that I could do that to you?” Sara looked into his eyes.
“If that isn’t what would happen, then what were you going to do? Can you answer me that?” Brian pulled her as close to possible to him. “Sara, I told you I wanted to be with you. Unless you have changed your mind, that IS the way it is going to be. I am not going to let any one or thing keep me from you!” With those words, Sara leaned to kiss him. She kissed him deeply, before whispering to him. “Brian, please take me home?” He looked at her hurt. “Take me home and stay with me?” she said again. Brian smiled, “You got it!”
