9/29 Green Bay, WI
at the Watering Hole
Troy Steel d. Angel Armoni with a choke/sitout powerbomb. This was also Angel and Rayne's ACW debut.
"The Predator" Jason Green d. Romeo Valentino by submission with a cobra clutch, despite being thrown around by some pretty mean Valentino suplexes.
Mitch Paradise d. Sheriff Johnny Emerald by disqualification. Before the match, Sheriff got on the stick and berated Paradise for siding with ACW when Mitch is actually an MPW Heavyweight Champion. Paradise had the match won with a chokeslam until Shifty, Black Stallion, and Adrian Lynch entered the ring and put the boots to him, earning Mitch a victory by DQ.
Kujo d. Sam Hayne. Kujo once again called out 'Sam Hanes' prior to the match, but Stefano (in the jockey shorts/deer antlers "Sam Hanes" mask) didn't even make it to the ring before the real Hayne stormed out from the back and flattened Stefano. The match was chaos from the word go, with Kujo and Hayne brawling all over the Watering Hole and leaving a path of destruction in their wake. Once they got back into the ring, Hayne managed to get Kujo in the Devil Lock (dragon sleeper), but Stefano whacked Hayne with Kujo's steel chain, allowing Kujo to pin Hayne for 3.
Ruff Ryder Rashaan & Jo Jo Justice d. Sudden Impact. Apparently Rashaan is definitely back in Tommy Rox's camp, as he teamed up with Jo Jo Justice to defeat Brandon Blaze and Ryan Rogue, despite tons of high-flying offense from Sudden Impact.
Shawn Daivari d. Shauna. In ACW's first-ever inter-gender match, the rivalry between Daivari and Shauna was taken to the ring. Although Shauna put up a good fight, in the end it was Daivari's rulebreaking that won him the match when he rolled up Shauna and hung onto ODB's arm for leverage while the ref counted three.
Hillbilly Hills & 'Pimp Daddy' Rob Norwood d. 'Superstar' Mike Mercury & 'The Predator' Jason Green by disqualification when Green attacked referee Craig Smith. The team of Hills & Norwood, now nicknamed Culture Shock, retain the ACW Tag Team Championships. After the match, however, Mercury and Green seemed to want to place the blame for losing the match on Rockin' Randy, who had accompanied them to the ring. After some chops and an attempted chokeout, Hills and Norwood came back to the ring to save Randy. The Rockin' One then belted out his singalong version of "Don't Pull Your Love Out On Me Baby" to the Watering Hole crowd, who responded with not the usual round of boos but rather the biggest pop Randy has gotten in ACW for a long time.
Kamikaze Ken d. 'God's Gift to Women' Kevin Krueger to become the new ACW Heavyweight Champion. In the first of two steel cage matches of the evening, Ken was busted open early in the match and Krueger continued his offensive barrage for the majority of the bout. Krueger even avoided the Kenton Bomb, but when he went for his signature Ladykiller finisher, Kamikaze managed to grab a leg, roll Krueger up, and keep him pinned for a 3-count. Ken celebrated his major victory in the ring, but as soon as he left the cage, Kujo and Angelo Stefano attacked him. Kujo proceeded to whip Ken with his spiked leather belt while Stefano talked some serious trash to Ken. Left lying on the Watering Hole ground, Ken was helped to the back by some ACW officials and seemed to be okay, but it's obvious that Kujo now has his sights dead-set on the gold around Ken's waist.
Team ACW (E. Hammers, D. Bambino, BD Loker) d. Team MPW (Shifty, B. Stallion, A. Lynch) when Shifty got nailed twice in a row by a top rope shooting star press from Bambino and a frogsplash off the top of the cage from Hammers. The participants were introduced in 2-minute intervals, with Shifty and Hammers starting the match off. Lynch came out third, but by the time the fourth competitor, Dino Bambino, came out, Lynch was waiting for him outside the ring. Lynch and Bambino brawled outside the cage for a while, with Lynch getting busted wide open (and easily winning the Gusher-of-the-Night Award). Black Stallion was introduced fifth, and finally, Big Daddy Loker came out last. Loker wore an MPW T-shirt to the ring, and upon entering he put a finger in the bloody face of Eric Hammers as a warning. When Loker confronted Dino, however, Dino tore Loker's MPW shirt off to reveal an ACW t-shirt underneath! Lynch, who was feeling cocky and thinking MPW had a 4-on-2 advantage, quickly changed his tune when he turned around and got speared by Loker. BDL continued to clean house until Bambino and Hammers hit Shifty with their one-two attack, and Hammers made the pin for the 1-2-3 and the crowd erupted as the 9-month feud between ACW and MPW finally ended with a huge ACW victory. As per the 'loser leaves town' stipulations, it appears that Shifty, Stallion and Lynch won't be causing any more problems for ACW ... but then again, since when do they play by the rules?"
"Steel Domain Wrestling
9/29 West St. Paul, MN
at the WSP Armory
SDW returned to West St. Paul in front of about 250 people. The ring announcer for the night was Travis Sharpe. They opened the show with a 10-bell salute to recognize the tragedy of the terroristic attacks on New York and Washington, D.C., and played the national anthem.
Mortimer Plumtree hit the ring and said Sexy Ace Steel was not able to compete due to an injury.
Match one: AWA Heavyweight Champ 'Underwear Model' Eric Priest pinned Horace the Psychopath. Priest beat on Horace early with a kendo stick, but Horace repaid the favor. Good hot start. Priest hit Horace with a nice missile drop kick. Horace bit Priest in the vicinity of the family jewels and gave him a belly to belly. Horace hit a bulldog for a two count and then spit pop on Mortimer Plumtree, who was managing Priest for the night. Horace hit a good senton and then went after Plumtree and beat him up. Priest turned things around, but Horace hit another senton for a big pop. Priest turned the tables with a stunner and pinned Horace. Good opener.
Match two: Scotty Zappa pinned Rikki Noga. The match had a good, fast start with action. Noga hit a cross body block off the top rope for a two count. Zappa gave Noga a front, reverse Russian leg sweep on a chair and pinned him with the help of crooked referee Frank Stool.
Match three: Colt Cabana went to a double count out with CM Punk. The match started on the floor as Cabana hit Punk in the head with a chair as Punk was going to attack Cabana's manager, Dave Prazak. These guys are very entertaining. Cabana gave Punk a bodyslam on a chair, Punk hit a dive on Cabana to the floor. Cabana gave Punk a rotating wheel barrow slam on a chair and also gave him a suplex onto a chair. Cabana gave Punk a great suplex off the top rope. He piled tons of chairs on Punk and hit a moonsault and got a two count. Punk hit cabana with a chair off the top rope onto CC on the mat. Punk gave CC a top rope haracanrana as both were standing on the top turnbuckle. Magnus Maximus ran in and attacked Punk briefly. Cabana set up a table at ringside. As both were standing on the table, Punk gave CC a Beil throw into the chairs. They both ended up on top of the pop machines with two tables set underneath side by side. Cabana gave Punk a suplex onto the tables, which didn't really break. They went to the double count out. Wrestlers helped both men to the back.
Match four: The Lost Souls (Johnny Parks and JB Trask) beat Flex Appeal (Tony DeNucci & Travis Lee) by DQ. Flex Appeal keeps the SDW tag titles. The Lost Souls were on fire early and for a long time working over Travis Lee and keeping DeNucci from tagging in. Parks gave Lee a leg drop off the top rope. DeNucci tagged in to a pop and went wild on Parks, whose nose and mouth were bloodied. Finally, Trask got the tag and cleaned house. Trask hit a slingshot leg drop on Lee. Parks climbed to the top rope and hit a drive onto Lee. DeNucci jumped in with a kendo stick and beat up the faces for a DQ.
Match five: Super Brat Brad Bradley pinned Los Conquistadork after a death valley driver. The Los Conquistadork was dressed like the old Los Conquistador from the old WWF. This was the best work Bradley's done in a whole in SDW.
Match six: SDW heavyweight champ Danny Dominion (with Adara James who was looking hot!) pinned Magnus Maximus (with Dave Prazak). Early, Dominion hit a dive off the top turnbuckle to the floor on Maximus and Prazak. He also hit a top rope huracanrana as the action was great. Maximus hit a nice full nelson slam, but Dominion gave Maximus a top rope stunner and referee Frank Stool hit a slow two count. Dominion hit a flying forearm and once again Stool was slow on the count. Then he hit another big move and once again there was a slow count. Magnus then caught Dominion with a quick rollup and Stool quickly pounded the mat for the three count. Maximus was announced as the new champion. Promoter Ed Hellier confronted Stool and then took the mike and said Stool must be from the Ed Sharkey shoot of refereeing and asked who got to him. Hellier then suspended Stool indefinitely and said the match would be restarted. Primetime came out and ripped the shirt off of Stool and put it on. In the meantime, Dominion broke a 2 x 6 over Maximus away from the ring action. As things moved back to the ring, Maximus gained control and then ended up giving Primetime a powerbomb that left him dead on the canvas. Referee Jay Soltis came in to see Primetime. Dominion ended up giving Maximus a bridging pin as Soltis counted three. This match had real good action throughout, but the finish was flat.
Notes: Next show will be Nov. 3 at the National Guard Armory in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. The SDW TV show debuts Saturday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. on Channel 45.
