I for one miss the old Yankees like Tino Martinez and Alfonso Soriano and even David Cone when he went to the pathetic Boston Red Sox. That is a reason why I feel Yankees fans are the best because we support our old players. You see with Manny, when he goes back to Cleveland he gets booed, as does A-Rod in Texas and especially in Seattle. Tino gets a standing ovation when he comes back to Yankee Stadium, as does Soriano. We’re not like Red Sox fans either who booed the Rocket years after he had left Boston. That is why I am proud to be a Yankees fan because we never get hostile towards any of our old players, even Andy Pettitte, who pitched brilliantly for years in the Bronx. Then there’s Roger Clemens, who was retired a total of 7 minutes before he became a Houston Astro. I still have no hostile feelings towards him, as no one should. On another note, be on the lookout for a starter for the Yankees to pick up, and I’m not thinking Randy Johnson because we don’t have enough in our farm system and we want to! The Yankees should have a somewhat good farm system. Kris Benson, pitcher from the Pittsburgh Pirates, looks good as do other pitchers out there, but don’t be too confident on the Yankees getting Randy Johnson. No worries though because we know the dead sox won’t either!
