"Mom's not here ya moron, and quit yelling you'll scare the guest." B.J., Nick's younger sister, scolded him from the family room. "Come on back and meet her."
As Nick walked toward the back of the house, two youngsters that barely came up to his waist attacked him.
Standing over six feet tall, the blonde haired, blue eyed 18-yr old knelt down to give his brother Aaron and his sister Angel a hug.
"Do you know who is here?"
"Yup, it's B.J.'s teacher," Aaron volunteered.
"Teacher? Her teacher drives a Mustang?" Nick couldn't picture some 65-yr old lady in a sports car. "Maybe it's a midlife crisis car."
Laughter greeted that statement and when Nick turned the corner, all he could see was his sister B.J. and an extremely attractive brunette doubled over in laughter.
"I suppose that I should be offended by that remark, seeing that I am only 19." The brunette stood up and stuck her hand out to Nick.
"Hi, I am Amanda. The Mustang belongs to me, and yes I am B.J.'s teacher. Actually, tutor would be the better word."
All Nick could do is stand there in amazement until B.J. nudged him into shaking Amanda's hand.
She was almost as tall as Nick, and with long brown hair and crystal clear blue eyes, Nick couldn't believe that she was real until their hands connected.
Wow! She is gorgeous! And what a fabulous smile!
"So, what are you tutoring my sister in?" Nick asked as the group sat down.
"Well, since I am majoring in English at Tampa State University, and my mom knows your mom, I was asked to help B.J. with her research papers for the rest of the school year."
Nick caught the connection. "How do our moms know each other?"
And why have we never met before?
B.J. sitting to the side was quietly laughing at her brother.
Could he be anymore obvious?
"Her mom was Mom's roommate during their freshman year at college, Nick."
Then, Nick and B.J.'s mom appeared in the kitchen door, back from grocery shopping.
"Oh, you are still here Amanda? You'll have to stay for dinner then."
Grinning, Amanda accepted the invitation, "It will be a great change from school food, thank you."
The phone rang and Nick picked up the extension in the hallway.
After some conversation, he called out to his mom, "Hey can some of the guys come over for dinner?"
"Sure, since it's a nice day, we'll pull out the grill and eat outside. Who is coming?"
"Brian and A.J. for sure, I don't know about the others."
"We'll eat at six then."
