Normally, he was the hyperactive one, but thanks to his prank, which he dubbed The Great Coffee Switch, his four friends were almost bouncing off the walls.
A.J. was talking to his mom on his cell phone, and he was even more talkative than usual - it's a wonder that he could be understood at all.
Brian was bouncing a basketball around the room, and had done so ever since they arrived. The secretary downstairs had already called up four times asking him to stop.
Kevin couldn't sit still. He would sit on the couch, then jump up to sit at the table, then wander over to the window, and then return to the couch next to Howie.
Now Howie was watching television, but he just kept changing the channels, over and over and over again.
Donna was exasperated, for she thought the guys were nervous, and they hadn't been this nervous since their early touring days.
She couldn't believe that a meeting with some writers had the guys this jumpy.
At first, she thought that Nick did something, but he was very quiet and just sat curled up on the couch, so she knew that it had to be something else.
At ten after ten, Donna came to collect the guys.
"Now, please guys, this isn't that big of a deal. Please try to calm down."
She looked so worried that Nick almost told her what was going on, but it was too late.
They were ushered in to the boardroom and introduced to the writers.
