Epilogue

Amanda and Nick continue to date, and when he went back on tour that summer, Amanda tagged along. She was serious enough to keep Nick grounded, and he had enough energy to keep her entertained. Nick and Amanda were more than just a dating couple, they became close friends. While touring, Amanda took a break from writing her Memory Lane series to write a best-selling book detailing her adventures on tour, and the book was endorsed by the BSB.

BJ ended the school year with an A in her English class. She and Amanda became good friends, and BJ, (along with her siblings,) loved helping Amanda with her writings. In fact, BJ grew so much as a writer that (with a little help from Amanda,) she wrote a few articles about being the sister of a superstar. BJ was offered a monthly advice column in SuperTeen and she loves it.

Liv and AJ are inseparable. They fight and argue and have a grand ole time making up. She’s still in school and AJ delights in hanging out with her on campus. He liked it so much that he enrolled for the Spring Quarter and Liv’s sorority sisters have dubbed him “Bond. AJ Bond. College guy by day; BSB by night.” Liv convinced him to take a Women in Literature class with her. No stranger to standing out in a crowd, as the only male in the class, AJ got a B+ on the midterm.

-------------------------------------------------------

Erika and Lindsey graduated that spring. Erika, with a master’s degree in nutrition and culinary arts, has been offered the position of head chef at the restaurant where she first met Howie. She still lives with the girls, but she and Howie are looking for a place to move into together. Howie wants to ask her to marry him, but she made him promise that he wouldn’t ask her until Christmas. By that time, the BSB Summer Tour will be over and Erika needs the time to get settled in her new job because she wants to be able to enjoy being Howie’s fiancée without the pressures of having a new job. They are very much in love, and content with just being with each other.

-------------------------------------------------------

Lindsey got her master’s in psychology like she wanted. Serious about his offer, Brian (and the rest of the Boys) hired her to tour with them and talk with the girls. Filled with ideas, Lindsey has already started working on her doctoral thesis. Brian wrote close to thirty songs expressing his love for Lindsey during that tour, but never showed them to anyone. Lindsey accidentally found them one day, and after reading them, she decided to take matters into her own hands. On the last day of the BSB Summer Tour, standing on the roof of their Las Vegas hotel, Lindsey proposed to Brian. And he accepted. They have decided to take the engagement slowly and they are aiming for a spring wedding next year.

George competed in the Miss USA pageant and all her friends and family were there to support her. Kevin led the cheers when she was named First Runner-Up. Three months later, she was named Miss USA when the real winner turned in her crown when her pregnancy began to show. George traveled all over the country and the world representing America. Kevin tried to be at her side as much as his own career would let him. She used her connections, through Kevin and the Boys, to benefit her favorite philanthropies: the Make a Wish Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House. The celebrities didn’t mind and found that they couldn’t say no to George. She became widely known and recognized for her generous heart. Kevin proposed the night before the next Miss USA pageant where she was going to crown her successor. They are planning a Christmas wedding next year.

-------------------------------------------------------

Richie took the note home to his sister, Hailey, and she forgave him for the whole diary incident. That summer, a package came for Richie. Inside were VIP tickets and backstage passes for one of the New York BSB concerts. Richie took his friend Mike and gave the other two to Hailey. At the concert, Kevin remembered Richie and George sat next to the little boy. Everyone had a marvelous time that night, and Hailey still is in awe of her little brother. To this day, they still get along, even though he occasionally sneaks peeks at her diary.

-------------------------------------------------------

The writing team of Amanda, Phillip, and Max has progressed incredibly well. Following the success of their works on the BSB album, requests have been pouring in from big-name acts all around the world. Their latest project? Geri Halliwell’s sophomore CD, tentatively entitled, “Once Before, Never Again.”

-------------------------------------------------------

Amanda, Liv, Erika, George, and Lindsey remain close friends. Amanda bought a PlayStation so she can learn on the sly to try and beat Nick, Liv is thinking about getting a tattoo, and Erika still falls off the counter. George and Lindsey discuss wedding plans in-between George’s appearances and Lindsey’s research. All five consider themselves incredibly lucky to be dating guys who all get along. Five different girls, five different guys, one interesting friendship.

-------------------------------------------------------

The Backstreet Boys are still together. While their style has matured, the music is as pure as when it first began. Brian continues to write love songs, AJ pours over course catalogs to see what classes he will take during their next break, and Howie is trying to discover the secret behind Erika’s secret sauce. Kevin is working on material for a charity album that George is putting together, and Nick still plays video games, but has been caught working his way through Amanda’s Memory Lane series.

-------------------------------------------------------

When reporters caught up with the ten friends after a victorious award show, Brian had only one thing to say when quizzed about the future of the BSB. “The Backstreet Boys will be here forever.. So far, so good.”
