Welcome to my pet page

We love animals and at this time we have a wolf and a wolf/hybrid, Named Cherokee (a 5 year old female) and Bubba ( a three year old male)
We named Cherokee after the Indian tribe, because we were told that wolves usually have indian names *L* (simple enough explanation)
Bubba got his name because he was the biggest pup in Cherokees first litter...I wasn't supposed to get to keep any, but I got my way again (after some whining and pleading ) They are fantastic and beautiful animals...Very loving and wonderful companions...
We also have a chow, Her name is Shadow. She is 1 year old and she is a terror...Very protective of our family and especially protective towards me *S* I wasn't  supposed to get her either...but again the pleading and whining won out for me *L*
We have  2 parakeets, (these belong to our daughter, but somehow I am the one that always takes care of them) *S* Their names are Soda Pop and Tofu...dont ask why...she named them and I haven't got a clue where she thought of these names *LOL*
She also wants a kitten, but we have found that our wolves have acquired a taste for them and don't really think its a very good idea at this time *S*
.. As of 1-21-98, We have another pet....his name is Alex, and he is a ball python. Right now he is 4.5' long...He wasn't really my idea of a good pet, but my husband used to have all kinds of snakes, and decided that he wanted to start raising them again....So this time I gave in to him ..
Alex is not as bad as I thought he would be...he likes to curl up on our laps and just sit there...Im still trying to get used to him though, so Im still a little leery of handling him when Im home alone...BUT, Im getting better at it *S* And as of May 14th, we now have ANOTHER snake *L* His name is Damien, and he is a Burmesian Python. He is 9 and a half feet long right now. (Yup, I really gave in this time!!) We also now have a pet bunny rabbit...She was supposed to be Damiens supper, but one look in her eyes, and we were lost... Just couldnt bring ourselves to do it. So Damien got an alternate meal, and Randi got a bunny.

Here are a couple of pictures of my wolf and my wolf/hybrid, the white one (the wolf) is Cherokee and the dark one (my hybrid) is Bubba.

Here is a picture of Damien
(He's the one in the middle*L*)

PLEASE, and I can't stress this enough, If you have animals, PLEASE make sure that they are well taken care of...Too many people have the animals because when they got them they where small, cute, or cuddly, and when the animal gets bigger it seems to become more of a burden a than a privilege. Make sure your pet gets the same kind of care and treatment that your child would get....after all, your pet will hopefully be your lifelong companion. They need "doctor" visits and and care that only you can give them.
