I am glad you came. It is my hope that you will find some comfort and hope here.
I have no qualifications or degrees to help you but I do know one who is qualified. I don't know why you want to give up but I know some one who does know and who is able to give you hope and strength to go on.
That someone is Jesus. W A I T ! before you decide that this is NOT what you need and close this page, please read on.
This is NOT about religion. I would probably close this page too if it were. No, this is about the One that loves us like no one else, without conditions. He knows your past and your present and loves you anyway.
In Psalm 103 it says that God is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger; abounding in love and in 2 Corinthians 1:3 it says that God is the father of compassion and the God of all comfort.
I am thankful that when it seems like there are none who care, none who love you that we can rest assured God does. People will and do fail us at times. Jesus does not...ever. I am thankful that when it feels as if you are all alone, you are not. He is there. In Heb. 13 Jesus promised that he would NEVER leave you.
I know this may not seem like much to you right now but hang on to it like you've never hung on before. Sometimes just when things are the lowest and you think there is no way out and that nothing will ever change that's when a door opens up. Hang On!
I want you to know that while I may not be qualified to help, I do know without a shadow of a doubt that Jesus is why I have come through the trials and difficulties in my own life. Without him I'm not sure how I would have done it. I should say too, that I didn't just muddle through but that He brought me through a stronger person than I used to be.
Is my life free from trouble? No.
Am I alone in times of trouble? Absolutely not!
There is hope. Don't give up, it is always too soon to give up!
There is a story that comes out of the 1989 earthquake that almost flattened Armenia. In the midst of all the confusion of the earthquake, a father left his wife securely at home and rushed to his son's school. When he arrived there he discovered the building was as flat as a pancake. Standing there looking at what was left of the school the father remembered the promise he made to his son, "No matter what, I'll always be there for you!" Tears began to fill his eyes. It looked like a hopeless situation, but he could not take his mind off of his promise. He remembered that his son's classroom was in the back right corner of the building. The father rushed there and started digging through the rubble. Other well meaning parents tried to pull him off of what was left of the school saying: "It's too late!" Even a police officer told him he should go home. Courageously he proceeded alone because he needed to know for himself: "Is my boy alive or is he dead?" This man dug for eight hours and then twelve and then twenty-four and then thirty-six. Finally in the thirty-eighth hour as he pulled back a boulder he heard his son's voice. He screamed his son's name, "ARMAND!" And a voice answered him, "Dad?" It's me Dad!" Then the boy added these priceless words, "I told the other kids not to worry. I told `em that if you were alive, you'd save me and when you saved me, they'd be saved. You promised, 'No matter what, I'll always be there for you!' You did it, Dad!" That's a very special relationship between a father and his son, isn't it? You and I can have that kind of relationship with God.
