Progress at the Ranch

After much work and many sore muscles and aching backs this is what was accomplished in the beginning. Not bad for a couple of middle aged people, huh? We didn't build the barn but boy did we have a ton of preparation work and cleanup to do. We did the inside of the barn ourselves though, including stalls, electric and water. My husband had a friend help with the electric. I say "we" but mostly I mean my husband of course. I helped by holding things and handing things to him and otherwise trying to stay out of the way!

Barn from the front

Nothing fancy from the outside but by the time we got done it has what we need on the inside to be comfortable. There are sliders on each end of the barn. With both sliding doors, the walk in door on the front and the windows on the back open there is always a nice breeze blowing through. We have 2 ceiling fans in the barn as well for those really hot S.C. summers.

Barn from the back

Each stall has a window that opens, great for Taz but since they are all up high Dolly can't reach up to look out.

Barn from the back

Here's what it looked like back then.
