Built in Akron, OH, (not far from here), the Corsair with its "gull wing" design was a difficult plane to fly, but once learned...deadly.
The F4U is like that in AirWarrior.
1. The good "hog" pilot wil lbe a good BnZ pilot.
2. Just what is BnZ? The best way I can describe it is to tell you what it is not! It is NOT a turnfight. You must keep your speed up and extend int he hopes eventually you will get a good shot.
3. Keep that speed up, know where your enemy is and loop or barrell roll him to death.
WHAT THE AIRWARRIOR MANUAL SAYS
"As in the actual war the Hog in Air Warrior faces many aircraft that can easily out-turn it at slow speed, yet it's faster than its nimble opponents, except perhaps the Ki84. Thus, the Corsair must stay fast and avoid turning fights against all the Pacific fighters, save the Mustang. Only at high speeds does the Hog handle well.
"In fact the Corsair is the most durable fighter in Air Warrior and possesses the most ammunition of any fighter in the game!
"In Full Realism the Corsair is an even better fighter. Many Air Warrior pilots believe that the F4U is clearly the finest Full Realism fighter in the game!"
