That Night

by: Rachael

Rachael and Donnie had worked at the same advertising agency for over seven years. Although they were always close and could share their most intimate feelings, they were never more than friends: Rachael had a long time boyfriend named Michael and Donnie was single. Donnie had been in love with Rachael since the day he saw her, but Michael was always there, loving her. Rachael felt the same way, but didn't think it was possible to love two men at once.

After a long day at work, Rachael came home to a serious Michael. "Hi baby," said Rachael as she entered the door, "What's wrong?" Michael motioned for Rachael to sit down beside him on the couch. "I love you, ok? But this relationship isn't the same anymore. You are completely engulfed in your work and you never have time for me. We've been together for eight years and we haven't even talked about marriage, children.....I want all of those things and more. But you don't want them. So, I guess it's time for me to move on with my life." "Michael," said Rachael through tears, "You're right. I have been engrossed in my work, but I have to be-you know how my boss is. And as far as marriage and children...I would give my life to be your bride and mother of your children, but I can't do it now. I want to get married when I can devote myself to it. And I certainly don't want to be a mother who gives her children to a nanny to raise. I'm sorry..... but we've been a couple for eight years...do you really want to end it this way, with no compromise?" "I can't wait any longer Rachael. Maybe we just stayed together too long....I love you, always." Michael gave Rachael a sweet kiss goodbye and walked out the door, luggage in hands.

Rachael was devastated. She had ruined the best relationship of her life. But as much as she loved Michael and hated to see him leave, she knew, deep down, that it was probably for the best. They hadn't been getting along for months, but she chose to ignore it. She just figured he would always be in her life.

As Rachael began to get ready for bed, the phone rang. "Michael?" she thought. She rushed to the phone and picked it up. "Hello?" "Rachael, are you okay? You sound like you've been crying." The person on the other end of the line wasn't Michael, but it was someone she loved-Donnie. "No, I'm not okay. Michael just left me." "Why?" "It's a long and complicated story...let's just say that our lives didn't agree with one another." "Oh baby, I am so sorry to hear that. Is there anything I can do?" "No, but thanks. I'll be okay. I just need to sleep on it. I'll see you in the morning." After hanging up the phone, Rachael began to weep uncontrollably. She sat down in the middle of the floor and just cried.

A half-hour had passed and Rachael was still sitting on the middle of the floor, staring at the wall. Suddenly, she heard a knock at the door. Rachael opened the door and saw Donnie standing on the other side of the doorway. "I know you said you didn't need anything, but I couldn't let you be alone." "Thanks, Donnie...you are incredibly sweet. Come in."

Rachael and Donnie spent the greater part of the evening talking about Rachael's failed relationship. Then the evening took a different turn when Donnie was about to leave.

"Thank you Donnie, for being so sweet and there for me. I can't tell you how much it means," Rachael said, beginning to cry again. "Baby, I will always be here for you," said Donnie as he hugged her and gave her a kiss on the forehead. Then, they looked into each others eyes and the electricity and fire that had always been between them came to life. They then shared the most passionate kiss either had ever experienced. But Rachael pulled away.

"Donnie, I'm sorry...I shouldn't have...." Before she could finish, Donnie's tongue was slowly searching her mouth. Rachael pulled away again. "I can't, it's not right...not like this, not so soon." "Don't you want me?" he whispered, "I know I may not sound politically correct, but I have wanted you for the past seven years and I know you felt and feel the same way......" then he stopped. "I'm sorry. I'm being selfish. I'll go."

Donnie pulled away from Rachael and walked to the door. He put his right hand on the doorknob and began to turn it when he felt Rachael's hand grab his left.

"I want you...I need your love...I need you to be with me tonight." She then grabbed Donnie and began to kiss him. Donnie then picked Rachael up and she wrapped her legs around his waist. He took her into the kitchen and put her on the counter. He removed her robe, revealing her bra and panties. He started to slowly kiss her neck worked his way down to her breasts. Donnie removed her lacy bra and began to flick his tongue across them. He continued to work on her breasts as he put his hands in her underwear. Rachael covered his hand with hers and gently then forcefully began to rub. "Mmmm," said Rachael, "that feels so good." "You feel good, baby," said Donnie. Donnie then moved from her breasts to the warmest place on her body. "Now let me take care of you."

He removed her panties and began to tease her clitoris with his tongue. "Ohhh...Donnie, you're gonna send me over the edge...." "But that's exactly where you want to be....that's where I want you to be." He then replaced his tongue with his hand and rubbed it until she bit her lip to keep from exploding. "Donnie, you're gonna have to stop doing that," she said, panting. "Why? You seemed to be enjoying yourself." "Yeah, I am enjoying myself. But I will be having even more fun once your dick becomes a part of me."

"Is that a fact?" said Donnie. "Why don't you find out for yourself." Donnie removed his clothing, and exposed his more-than aroused manhood. He then slowly pushed himself into Rachael, causing her to cry out with pleasure. He was so aroused by her pleasure, that he almost climaxed right there. Rachael grabbed Donnie's ass as he thrust in and out of her. She then began to rub her breasts and asked Donnie, "Do you like it when I touch myself?" Donnie lost all control of himself and released himself into her. "Yeah," he whispered, "I like it."

They then moved from the counter and onto the floor, and this time, Rachael was on top of him. She started riding him like a thoroughbred and Donnie put his fingers into her mouth, which she eagerly began to suck. He then moved his hands down to her hard nipples and began to pull and squeeze them. "Come for me," he whispered. Those words sent Rachael over the edge and she let out a high-pitched cry before collapsing into Donnie's arms.

Now in bed, Rachael and Donnie talked about the events of the evening. "No one has ever made me feel soo good...," said Rachael as she looked into Donnie's eyes. Donnie responded by kissing her on the lips. Rachael gently laid her head on Donnie's chest when she heard someone opened the front door........

"Oh, my god! " said Rachael when she heard the door open, "It has to be Michael. What in the hell is he doing back?"

Rachael quickly jumped out of bed and put her robe and started to run out of the room, but Donnie got up and grabbed her arm before she could reach the doorknob.

"Where are you going, Rachael?" said Donnie. "If that's Michael, he's going to come in here and...." Donnie cut her off before she could finish her sentence. "And see us in bed together?" he began, "If I recall correctly, he left you, not the other way around...but I understand....do whatever you have to do." "Thank you," said Rachael as she kissed Donnie on the mouth. She then left the room.

Rachael walked into the living room and saw a dismal-looking Michael sitting on the couch. When he noticed Rachael, he began pouring his heart out to her.

"I didn't know if you were still awake, so I thought I'd just stay on the couch. But, I am glad you're up, cause I've been doing some heavy thinking," he began. "I'm sorry, baby. I made a mistake. I want nothing more than for us to be together and I am willing to wait until you are ready to start a family."

Shocked, Rachael said, "That fast? A few hours ago you were so sure about your feelings. What has inspired this change?" "You have," he began. "I love you so much and I don't want any other woman to be the mother of my children. Because of that, I am willing to wait. I know you're worth it."

Rachael let out a huge sigh and sat next to Michael. "Michael, how do I know you won't change your mind again? The last thing I want is to go through something like this again." "It won't, I promise. Nothing will ever come between us again." Now Rachael was trapped. Although Michael had hurt her, she still loved him. But she also loved Donnie....and he was in her bedroom, waiting for her return.

"Michael, I need some time alone...time to think. I need to make sure this is the right thing for me." "Ok, if that's what you want," said Michael, "I will wait forever..... and I want to give you as much space as possible, but would it be possible for me to stay here tonight? It's kinda late and I don't want to disturb any of my friends." "Umm," began Rachael, "I don't think that would be such a good idea, I really need to be alone tonight. Can you understand that?" "I understand," said Michael, "I can stay in a hotel. But I'll be back in the morning." Michael then hugged Rachael and gave her a sweet kiss on the lips. "Tomorrow," he whispered. Then he was gone.

Rachael hurried back into the room and saw Donnie sitting on the bed, fully clothed. "Donnie, I am sooo sorry...." "So are the two of you back together now?" he said angrily. "No, I-- I told him that I needed time to think....I--" "You're not going to take him back, are you?" said Donnie. "Donnie, I don't know what I'm going to do....I just know that I love him...and you." "Well Rachael, you can't have both of us..." "I know, and I don't intend to," she said as tears welled up in her eyes, "I'm just confused...I didn't mean to do this to you...I'm sorry." "Not half as sorry as I am... I am so in love with you and I have dreamed of this night for so long.... but if you need space, I will give it to you... but I will also fight for you if I have to."

Donnie got up and embraced Rachael. "I love you," he said, his voice trembling. "I love you, too...goodnight." Donnie looked Rachael in the eyes and then planted a soft kiss on her forehead. "Don't worry, I will let myself out," he said. He then walked out of the room. As soon as Rachael heard the front door close, she burst into tears....

When Rachael awoke the next morning, she noticed a red rose on her pillow. "Donnie?" She thought. So she got up and went into the kitchen. To her surprise, Michael was cooking breakfast. "Michael, what are you doing here?" "I told you I'd be back in the morning," he began, "I hope you like your rose." "I do, Michael, but I told you that I need time...and I can't do that when you're putting roses on my pillow and cooking me breakfast...in order for me to make a well-thought-out decision, I can't see you....I can't....I really need you to respect that." "I don't think I can stay away from you...but I can try," said Michael "Thank you, Michael, this means alot to me. And although I think it's very sweet, no more roses or breakfast, ok?" said Rachael with a half-smile. "Ok," said Michael. He almost tried to kiss her, but caught himself, said his good-byes and left.

Rachael quickly got dressed and went to work. Because of what had happened the night before, Donnie was the last person she wanted to see, but how could she avoid him?

When she walked in the office, Rachael felt weird. She felt as if everyone knew what had happened. She walked to the elevator and pushed the button. When the door opened, she saw only one person in the elevator: Donnie.

"Hi," said Donnie as Rachael walked on the elevator. "Hi." Embarrassed about the night before, Rachael wanted to ignore Donnie during the ride to their floor but she knew she had to say something. "Donnie I...I just want to apologize again for last night. I never wanted you to be hurt." "Do you regret what happened between us?" said Donnie. "How could you say that? Last night was incredible and magical. I don't regret sleeping with you. I know that it may have seemed that way, but I have wanted you for such a long time. My breakup with Michael had nothing to do with it... I mean it did, but it didn't at the same time. Does that make sense?" "It does." said Donnie as the elevator stopped and the doors opened.

As Donnie began to exit the elevator, Rachael called to him. "Donnie, wait..." Donnie turned around and saw a teary-eyed Rachael say, "I haven't made any kind of decision, but..." "I know," said Donnie, touching Rachael's hand, "You don't have to say anything, I know." He then stepped off of the elevator and Rachael reluctantly followed.

Rachael and Donnie went to their offices, but were soon brought together when their boss called them into his.

"Rachael, Donnie, have a seat," said Mr. Lindquist. Rachael and Donnie nervously sat down: they thought he knew of their affair. "One of our biggest clients, Miriad Inc., wants us to do an advertising campaign. I told them that I'd get my best employees on the job....and you'll never guess who I chose." "Oh my god, Mr. Lindquist, thank you! This is such an honor!" said Rachael. "Thanks for putting your faith in us," said Donnie as he got up to shake his boss' hand. "This campaign is our biggest yet and many long hours will have to be spent perfecting it. The two of you won't have any problems with overtime, will you?" "No, of course not, this is a dream come true," said Rachael. "Ok, well, here is all the information you will need," said Mr. Lindquist as he handed Rachael a huge manilla envelope, "Good luck....I know you can do it." "Thank you," said Donnie, shaking Mr. Lindquist's hand once again. As he was shaking his boss' hand, Mr. Lindquist's secretary came in. "Mr. Lindquist, your 11am is here." "Thank you, Julie," said Mr. L. "Well, Rachael, Donnie, I wish you the best of luck," said Mr. L, shaking both of their hands. "Thank you," said Rachael and Donnie in unison. They then left the office.

Now in the hallway, Rachael and Donnie were trying to figure out how they could work together. "I was thinking maybe we could meet--meet at my apartment after work," began a reluctant Rachael, "unless you have a better idea." "No, your apartment is fine," said Donnie. "Ok, so will 6:00 be good?" "It'll be great."

Rachael spent the next few hours trying to come up with an excuse to cancel her "date" with Donnie. But really, how could she? It wasn't like he wanted to take her to the movies. They were working on something that could help both of their careers.

It was 5:45 when Rachael heard a knock at the front door. "That man is never late," she thought as she went to open the door. When she opened the door, she learned that that "man" wasn't the one she had expected-it was Michael. "Michael," said Rachael, surprised, "What are you doing here?" "I know I told you that I would stay away and intend to keep that promise, but I really need to pick up a few things, if you don't mind." "Yeah, sure, come on in." Michael walked in to see a coffee table covered with documents. "It looks like you have your work cut out for you, " he said, smiling. "Yeah, " began Rachael, " I'm working on a major advertising campaign...with Donnie Wahlberg. You remember him, right?" "Yes, I do," said Michael. "He's supposed to be here at six so, I'm just waiting for him." "Well, I will try and stay out of your way, " said Michael with a grin, "I am sure you will do a fantastic job." "Thanks Michael." Having said that, Michael went into the room he and Rachael used to share.

10 minutes later there was another knock on the door. Rachael walked over to the door, opened it and saw Donnie's smiling face on the other side. "Hi Donnie, come on in and have a seat," said Rachael. Donnie walked in and sat on the couch. Rachael sat down beside him and began to talk about the project. "I can't believe Mr. Lindquist picked the two of us to work on this project." "Yeah, I know, " said Donnie, "I was sure he knew about the two of us--" Donnie stopped cold when he saw Michael walk in the room.

"Hello Donnie," said Michael as he entered the room, "Hey, Rach, I was thinking I would order Chinese food...do you like Chinese, Donnie?" "Yeah man, I'm easy...thanks." Rachael felt like she was stuck between a rock and a hard place. She told Donnie she wasn't seeing Michael, yet here he was, about to order dinner. "Chinese is good, Michael," began a nervous Rachael, "but why don't you go and pick it up, you know how slow their delivery is." "Ok, no prob, " said Michael. "I'll get their platter....it has something for everyone." "Great," said Rachael. Having said that, Michael was out the door.

As soon as Michael left, Rachael started to explain Michael's presence. "Donnie, we are not back together, ok? He just came by to pick up some of his things." "He doesn't know about me, does he?" said Donnie. "No, he doesn't. How can I tell him I slept with you the night we broke up?" "Rachael, you have to tell him...he needs to know...especially if you decide I'm the one you want to be with." "Donnie, please....." "Please what?" began Donnie as he stroked Rachael's hair. "Donnie don't--please. If you start something, I won't be able to stop you." "Well, then, don't," said Donnie. "Just don't say no.... and don't push me away."

Donnie's hand moved from Rachael's hair down to her silk blouse, which he began to unbutton. He looked into her eyes as he did this. Although she looked calm, she was doing everything in her power not to lose it. Donnie removed Rachael's blouse, exposing her bare breasts--she rarely wore a bra. Donnie then grabbed Rachael's face and began to kiss her, his tongue filling her mouth completely. As he was kissing her, he gently caressed her breasts. He stopped suddenly and looked into her eyes once again. Then he put his thumb in is mouth, slowly pulled it out, and put it in Rachael's mouth. Rachael gently began to suck and bite his thumb. As she was Doing this, Donnie put his hand down her skirt and into her underwear. "I just want my hands to be covered in your moisture," he said as he rubbed her clitoris. Rachael's eyes rolled back as Donnie rubbed more forcefully. She even bit his thumb to keep from crying with pleasure.

Near orgasm, Rachael took Donnie's thumb out of her mouth. "No more," she said as she got up. "What?" said Donnie. "You can't tell me you don't want this, baby." "No more foreplay, no more teasing, " she said as she removed her skirt and panties, "come here." Donnie got up and went over to Rachael. "Take you clothes OFF, Mr. Wahlberg." Donnie removed his clothing and threw them on the floor. "Ok, now let's start working on that report," said Rachael jokingly. "Ok, sure," said Donnie as he pushed Rachael up against a nearby wall.

Rachael hopped up on Donnie and wrapped her legs around his waist, allowing him to enter her easily. Donnie then began to forcefully grind himself up against Rachael's pubic bone. He was thrusting so deeply that Rachael thought she was going to pass out. "How does that feel, babydoll?" whispered Donnie as he continued to grind. "Ohhhh, Donnie, do you even have to ask?" said Rachael, now losing complete control of her senses. "Harder, baby, please," said Rachael as she felt herself drawing closer to an orgasm. Donnie didn't know if he could possibly grind any harder, he didn't know if it was possible to fuck her any harder than he already was. Then, suddenly, he knew exactly what he had to do. He pulled out of her and lay her on the floor. And before she could question him, he was teasing her clitoris with his tongue, then his hand, then his tongue again. This pattern made Rachael shake as she came. It was almost like she was having convulsions.

"Where did you learn how to do that?" said Rachael as she and Donnie got redressed. Donnie grabbed Rachael and pulled her closer. "Baby, I INVENTED that!" said Donnie as he laughed. Rachael laughed and looked at her watch. "Damn, it's 8pm. We haven't gotten anything done." "Well, I got something done," whispered Donnie as he kissed Rachael's mouth.

Suddenly, Rachael realized something. "Do you realize Michael could've walked in on us? What were we thinking, oh my god." "Well, we didn't get caught, did we?" said Donnie as he smiled.

Rachael and Donnie quickly tidied up the place and began working. After about 30 mins, Michael walked in without the Chinese food. "Michael," said Rachael, "Where have you been?" "You noticed? I'm surprised. When two people are fucking each other's brains out, they're not thinking of anything else." "What?", began Rachael, "What are you talking about?" "Well, since you haven't figured it out, I'll tell you: I did come back, and I had the food, but instead of seeing you and your "coworker" working on a project, I saw the two of you working on each other. I was so mortified, I just left."

Rachael's mouth dropped. "Michael I---oh, my god. I didn't even realize--" Michael cut her off before she could finish. "No you didn't. You didn't realize it because Donnie had his dick in you. You're a nasty bitch. I can't believe you'd send me off so you could fuck." "MICHAEL I DIDN'T!" said Rachael, her voice trembling with anger. "Michael, it just happened. I didn't send you away for that reason--" "Has this happened before?" "Yes, the night we broke up," said a remorseful Rachael.

"So, I guess our breakup didn't affect you that much. You're a whore. You've probably been fucking him this whole time!" At this point, Rachael was speechless and Donnie felt as though he should intervene. "Look man, I'm sorry. We didn't mean for it to come out this way. We haven't been having an affair. And just so you know, Rachael told me she wanted me to stay away, too. She loves both of us and was having a hard time deciding who she wanted to be with. Tonight was my fault. I initiated everything."

"So, you love both of us, huh?" said Michael. "You don't know what that word means....it's obvious that you've made your choice or else you would've resisted him the way you've been resisting me. I'm gonna get the rest of my stuff and then I'm leaving."

Rachael looked on in shock as she watched Michael walk into the room they used to share. Less than a minute later, her emerged from the room with a few boxes. "I guess this is it. Have a nice life." Then he was gone.

After Michael left, Rachael turned to Donnie. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I guess he was right about me." "No, he wasn't," said Donnie as he held her close. "But he was right about one thing, I did make my choice. I made it long before we broke up. I just didn't want to admit it. But I never wanted to hurt Michael. I did love him....." Rachael then squeezed Donnie tighter, tears rolling down her face.

The End
