Two wheeled Electric Vehicle

While I would love to convert my Porsche 914 to electric, my current financial situation prevents it. To do it right would cost at least $7,000 (I wish I'd thought of this before I put $2,000 into rebuilding it's engine).

Since converting my 914 is out for now, I decided to convert a motorcycle. Initial analysis indicated this would cost about $2000 to buy all new parts (Motor, controller and batteries). Update. <>Do to some carefull scrounging it now looks like the total cost for conversion will be less than $1000, this includes purchasing a rebuilt controller.
I've got a Frame! It's the frame from a 1984 900 Ninja (made famous by the movie "Top Gun"). It only cost me $100, but it's missing a few easential parts (like a seat), I figuring another $100 to buy the missing parts.

Total cost so far (Motor/batteries/frame/misc)=$400 with an estimated $400-$500 left to go.
