Dusty books on my shelf
Well..this should be the largest part of my page by the time I have links to all of my favorite writers. My obsession with books will show very quickly once you start scrolling through my list. I suppose that is a good enough introduction..the rest should be self-explanitory. If you think of anything I need to read..email me ..

- Richard Bach
What to say about this man. He writes my life. I don't know if you have ever really wanted to say something but couldn't get it down on paper. Mr Bach does that for me. Start with Illusions and go from there. There is no frufru in his writing so if you only read romance novels...don't read his books.
- Tom Robbins
This one makes me laugh. His book "Still Life with Woodpecker" is the story of a princess who falls for a mad bomber. I know it sounds kookie..but I got some of my favorite quotes from this book.
- Khalil Gibran
Ah...Check out "The Prophet". Beautiful poetry with necessary messages. His writing has a lot of symbolism but it's not the everyday tossed around metaphor. Good for reading when you are stuck in a situation that you can't seem to work yourself out of. He covers everything from love to teaching.
- Poppy Z Brite
This woman makes Anne Rice look like a walk through the park on a sunday afternoon. The imagery in this book is almost blindingly vivid. I love it. Her characters do seem to have to fight like hell to be "straight" but as long as you aren't afraid of experimentation, I think you will love her horror fiction. "Drawing Blood" is my favorite.
- Shakespeare(if you don't know his first name I have nothing else to say to you
Ah..the bard...to get the full degree of feelings about Shakespeare, it would be easier to ask me on your own time. I plan to study his works for the rest of my life and hopefully be a Professor of Shakespearian studies
- Bram Stoker
I do believe this is the man responsible for my odd attraction to the vampyres of the world. He makes them appear to beautiful, so passionate. What other creature would travel past death for the one they love?
- Mary Shelly
She was the orginal woman to make people shiver in their boots. Writing during a time when women were supposed to be dainty *ee gads*, she sure knew how to show the males how it's really done. If you are a bit confused..I am speaking of Frankenstein.

- Clive Barker
I just recently had my first encounters with Mr. Barker. "Hellbound Heart" got me addicted to his style. This man doesn't simply tell you what he wants you to see, he rather rubs your face in it til you are panting in a chair with a book dropped into your lap...or maybe that's just me.
- Edgar Allan Poe
From swinging pendelums to talking Ravens, this man can still make me look over my shoulder at night after reading one of his stories. Quoth the Raven...nevermore.
- Samuel Beckett
Theatre of the Absurd?? Bah. My best friend and I are just like the two characters in "Waiting for Godot". Okay, maybe not JUST like them, but we are silly. Anywho, take a candor, his humor is not...hm..well it's not mainstream.
