First Year Enrichment
What is First Year Enrichment?
It is
University College 125 course.
-It is a freshman based class concerned with how we can improve our environment.
How does it work?
In the spring quarter, we listen to proposals from various volunteer organizations
and pick which one we would like to work for.
The class is then divided into groups of approximately five students, and from this
point on are expected to organize themselves, and meet with their volunteer
"employer" on a weekly basis.
At the end of the quarter, students assemble a portfolio of the work they have done,
and hand it in with all of their accumulated paperwork and weekly reflections for a
grade.
