Sometimes when I'm alone and thoughts run through my head
I think of a lovely flower sitting pretty in it's bed
A natural and beautiful sight for everyone to admire
It really chokes me up and my heart it does inspire
Such a simple work of nature yet pure and unsurpassed
Not meant to live forever but it's impression will ever last

Or a lovely daffodil among many thousands in a field
I could spot you in a second, such love for you I yield

With closed eyes I would beat a path directly by your side
Heading for the one special love that I would never hide
