Shouldn't love be easier than it is, sometimes, it seems quite hard to attain
How could something so important be so easy to lose, and difficult to gain
Love should last forever, but in most cases, it doesn't, it simply fades away
By the time you realize it has gone, it's too late, and there is nothing to say
They say that love is blind, and I have got a sneaking suspicion that's true
It's quite possible to be in love and not realize, and lose it unknowingly too
It would be nice if love were simple and uncomplicated, but it's so abstract
Most of the time you can't say exactly why you love someone, that's a fact
Perhaps it's more about feelings than thoughts, someting we can't control
It is apparently something that is out of our hands, it likely involves the soul
You really cannot make yourself love someone, either you do, or you don't
Trying to convince yourself otherwise is futile, if you think it'll work, it won't
