I had a dream one starlit night,
That filled my heart with sweet delight.
Detailed thougts of you and I,
Gazing at the starry sky.
Together embraced,
I looked at your face,
As i saw into your deep hazel eyes,
I thought of all the tearful goodbyes.
For it was you I'd missed,
I could no longer resist.
I needed you there,I needed it all.
The night was so perfect, from what I recall.
You looked back into my baby blue eyes,
Told me to leave behind all the goodbyes.
You wiped my tears,
Erased my fears,
And within a heartbeat, the moment had ended,
Because of your care, my heart had been mended.
It's amazing the power that can come through a dream,
Feelings and thoughts revealed at the seam.
And its true when I awoke I missed you just as much,
Still wished you were here, and longed for your touch.
But from now on I must look beyond the tearful blue goodbyes,
And concentrate much harder on the cheerful, bluer skies.
