Ashley's Hanson Review
~*To my Friends*~
The concert was sooooooo cool!!!! I'll tell you everything about it ,
(it might take awhile though)
Okay, KDWB (the radio station) made this a concert thing just kind of
for Hanson! It was outside the Mall of America, in a near by, HUGE, parking
lot! They had a Huge stage like the ones kind of like for Lalapalooza, or
something like that.
The gates were supposed to open at 5:30, so my sister and I arrived at
3:00. There was 2 lines started. Someone said that the smaller line was for
the bleachers, but we wanted seat, so we went in the longer line.
We sat there for a few hours, and then we heard Hanson practicing on
stage! It was sooo cool to actually hear them play live. I couldn't wait
just to see them! Then a bunch of security dudes came down the line to tell
everyone that they will be opening both gates at the same time, so nobody had
to worry.
So 5:30 FINALLY came. And they opened the bleacher gates first, and
let in almost the entire line, and they all got all the seats, up in front!!!
URRRRR!!!!! Then they finally opened the gates to our door, and it was a mad
rush! My sister squirmed through the crowds and got us a seat up near the
front! ( But not close enough!)
Then we had to sit there for an hour, until the show actually started!
Boring! Usually I would have been bored out of my mind, but, I was sooo
excited to actually be able to see Hanson!
Then it started. The announcers (the disc Jockey's from the radio)
station came out, and talked for a minute. They said Hanson was in the
showers. (right!) Then the comedian/ Juggler came out and did his act.
Then he was done. = )
And the announcers came back out again. And said Hanson was running
around the backstage in towels. One of the Announcers (Tony) was looking
behind the stage and yelled "Isaac, cover up!" That was funny. And then the
other announcer (Dave) yelled back, "Zac, your looking pretty buff!" I was
sooo excited everything seemed funny to me. And then Tony said, "We know you
guys want to see Taylor out here on stage in a towel". And we all screamed
and chanted "Taylor, Taylor, Taylor" You know, so on. Even though well all
knew they weren't in towels, not that we wouldn't mind that though, tee hee.
Then the other band came on! They were good. The stage people threw
out beach balls into the crowd, so when the other band was playing, we were
bumping the beach balls all over the place!
After they were done, there was like a 20 minute break. All of a
sudden everyone stood up on their seats waving. Zac was sitting on the
backstage steps, all you could see it the top of his head. We all freaked
though! Then some backstage dude told him to move away, cause everone was
freaking! It was getting intense! The big moment was getting
close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally, it seemed like forever, (probably to you too having to read
all of this,) they came on! And there was thousands over 7,000, I heard, of
fans there, including me, and we all screamed and cheered at the top of our
lungs!!!!!!!!!! It was sooooooooo cool!
Isaac came out wearing sun glasses, he looked so cute! And they all
had their hair in pony tails. They walked up to the microphones and started
talking, they said some funny stuff too, and everyone cheered.
The first song they sang was Madeline. And it was an accapella.
Then they played Man From Milwaukee, and in case you weren't sure,
Zac does sing lead in that song. And you know the part when it goes, This is
Mama bird, you know. I always thought it was Zac and Tay saying that part.
But it's just Zac, he changes his voice in different tones for that, and he
uses this little black mega phone thing. It was soooo cool! It sounded
like a walkie talkie.
Then Zac, Ike, and Tay brought out these HUGE black KDWB balloons,
and I'm talking huge! It was almost as big as Zac! Zac smacked one out into
the crowd. Then Tay threw one up in the air and was gonna hit it, but he
missed, so it just fell. OOps. So then he grabbed Isaac's, threw it up in
the air, but Isaac hit it out into the crowd. Teehee. We started hitting
those around too.
After that they walked over to their instruments. Tay yelled,
"Whoa, those are getting high! But you guys can hit those higher then that!!"
And Zac yelled into the mike from behind the drums, "Higher, Higher,
Higher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" And Ike just stood there laughing his head off! Then
Zac yelled, "We love you Minnesota!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" And of course, everyone
freaked out! There was a lot of freakin' going on! Before they started
their next song, Isaac said "We couldn't make a record, we couldn't make a
song, we coudn't make any apperances, without, Thinking of You!" Then they
started their next song, which of course was Thinking of You! Tay was really
getting into it. He was of course stomping his foot, and he stopped playing
a bunch of times, and would yell out like, "Clap with us!" or "Hands over
your heads!" and he would throw his hands over his head, clapping them! Or
"you guys rock!!!" Or all sorts of things. Then that song ended, and
everyone screamed and cheered.
Isaac then said, "Minnesota Rules!!!!!!!!" That was cool! Then he
said. "Can we ask you a question?" And we all yelled yes! Then Ike said
again, "Hold on, let's try this again. Can we ask you (he screamed soooooooo
loud! It was funny) a QUESTION??!!!!!" And we all yelled even louder yes!
Tay was laughing so hard! Then Zac screamed, "Where's the Love?!!!!!!!!!!!"
We all yelled, here! And Tay said, "oh yea!!!" but in a funny voice! LOL!
Then they started the song Where's the Love, obviously. And Zac would yell
out stuff during the song, and so would Tay. They were hot, you could tell,
Ike was pink faced. And Tay was REALLY red and was sweating, his whole front
of his shirt was wet! But Zac was fine, I guess he was just having to much
fun! It was soooooo much fun! I was standing on my seat, clapping my hands
over my head, and singing along, and cheering. You could totally tell they
were having an awesome time too! Then during the song Ike yelled out, "You
guys are the best!!!!" Then the song ended.
They introduced the other guys that play along with them (the
back up dudes). We all cheered for them.
Then Tay said that they would definetly come back to MN for a
real concert! Tay said that this was so short and they were sorry about
it, but they were going to play their last song, and everyone would probably
recognize it. Then they started playing Mmmbop! I love that song! Tay was
yelling out stuff again, "Come on guys sing it!" and stuff like that. Ike
would yell out on that song too! He was boogying. It was funny.
When they were done I almost started crying, cause this was so
cool and I probably wouldn't get to see them again, for a long time. = (
They finished Mmmbop, all of them with huge smiles on their faces the entire
time!!!!!!! I'd miss them. = ( Then they they ran off the stage, everyone
cheering and screaming.
Suddenly they ran back on, and grab their hands and took a
bow! Everyone loved them soooo much. I did too. Then they waved, and ran
of the stage, hands up in the air screaming, "WHOOOHOO" Zac jumping up into
the air punching his fists, Tay yelling "YEA!" with his hands over his head.
And Ike smiling ear to ear, running off! This was great!!!!
I couldn't believe that this just happened. This was a once
in a life time expierience! It was great! Then I grabbed my stuff, and my
brand new Hanson t-shirt and headed home, light hearted, and smiling! = )

P.S.I almost forgot!!!! Geeze! They also played "A Minute With Out You!!"
