Heather's Hanson Review

On June 19, I got to go see Hanson live in concert in Charlotte! It was Kiss 95.1's second "No Dough Show", featuring Hanson with Peace and Love opening for them. I went with my sister and one of my friends. You were supposed to have tickets, but people who went and stood in line since 4 in the morning still didn't get tickets. I tried calling in to win them, but no such luck! But we decided to go anyway! They were expecting an enormous crowd, about 10,000 I heard on radio. The show started at 6 p.m. in First Union Plaza, a nice outside courtyard type area. We got there at around 6:30 p.m. and there was NO traffic! We parked right across the street, and walked right up to the stage! There were only about 1,000 people already there, but another 2,000 showed up b4 it was over! We were so surprised! You didn't even need tickets! Hanson was about 30 minutes late, so they started at 7:30. But they were well worth the wait! They were soooooo incredibally good! They were so adorable to! I was very lucky to have such a great view! The sound was great too. They started off singing accoustic (?): "Madeline", then "Man from Milwaukie". Then they picked up their regular instruments and sang "Thinking of You", "Where's the Love", "Minute without You", and "MmmBop." I think that's the order, but I was too excited to totally remember. In between songs they would shout out crazy stuff like, "We love you guys; thank you Charlotte; you're beautiful; etc" They also said that if we wanted to catch a longer concert we should go to the one coming up this fall when they tour. I heard a rumor that they will be coming in Oct/Nov/Dec to Blockbuster Pavillion. I will definitely be there! All in all, this free/shortened concert was awesome, but pretty much a promo for their cd. I can't wait to see their real concert, but I'll be living off that night for a long time to come! :P
