Voyager Review: Scorpion

Hurrah! The new season begins!
Scorpoin, Part I This episode was hurriedly made after the producers of Voyager decided to shelf the one they were going to use and go for an all out Borg adventure.
Thank you.
The episode begins with a jolt. The merry Borg cube is flying along, spouting its words of wisdom (WEAREBORGRESISTANCEISFUTILE), when all of a sudden they're blown up. The Voyager crew comes across a Borg ship that seems to be adrift. They go and explore. Kes is getting telepathic visions. Harry has tenticles sticking out of his mouth. Janeway and Chakotay come close to duking it out. Janeway strikes an alliance with the Borg. In short, lots of excitement going on.
Now, the review. This episode was good, very good. It was what the show needs more of: good plot and good acting, all in one episode. While we all knew that they were going to get out of the current predicement (hey--the show would end if they didn't), but it was still a good cliffhanger. It left the audience thinking, An alliance with the Borg!?! What's she smoking? I have one more comment on part one regarding the Janeway/Chakotay head-butting... finally! How realistic was the relationship they'd had up until now, to go from enemies to best buds in a minute? I don't think so. The conflict was good, realistic. It gets a 9. Great work.
