Working on my webpage

I like making webpages.  One problem presents itself, however.  I don't like finishing webpages.  I get a neat idea, and I'm off and running.  As soon as the enthusiasm dies down, I'm off to look for another project.

Lately, I've been a bit discouraged with this webpage making.  My beautiful new index page disappeared.  I don't remember deleting it.  I don't remember where I saved it.  Nevertheless, I've stopped procrastinating and decided to get this site in order.

However, now I've sidetracked myself in another way.  I received a new 56K Robotics modem as a gift.  I've tried for three days to install it.  On the troubleshooting page in the manual for Windows it said, not to use Com 3 for the modem.  The set-up program insists on using COM3. I won't fiddle with it any more.  I give up for now, at least until a computer techy can come over and point out my mistakes.

Also you were right about it plugging right into the motherboard (the thingy with the ribbon thingy was the 3 1/2" drive, I think.)  It's all Greek to me.  [After all, I am Athena!]  I wish I did have someone standing at my elbow to point things out and say, "This is..." and "That is..." because I go by the pictures and diagrams, but sometimes I don't understand a thingy!

My cousin in the states really pushes me to take off the cover and discover what is in there.  But he knows what he's doing, and I don't.  I'm a little hesitant to do anything since my last adventure with upgrading the harddrive.  And after I downloaded Free Tel, the computer has not acted the same since.
