FROM THE PRESIDENT: It looks like the snow has thrown us a curve for this January. This months Board meeting was set back from Jan. 4th to Jan. 7th. There were still about 5 Board members unable to make it. Our Children's Christmas party was held on Sunday, Dec. 13th. The children, as well the adults, really enjoyed the ventriloquist. Jerry Biederman again did a masterful job as the M.C. Thanks again Jerry. Our first activity for this year will be a Scotch Bowling Party on Saturday, January 30th. (See inside for details). We are nearing the time for elections so give some serious thought to running for an office. Tickets for our Monthly Raffle are now available from Mike Meyer. We have had two Sports Members initiated into our club. I would like to see more Sports members become regular members. It's easy. Just attend a regular meeting on the third Monday of the month and make your wishes known. Our next regular meeting will be on Monday, Jan. 18th. See you then - - Jerry.
The attendance prize at the December meeting went unclaimed. Joe Voss's name was drawn and he lost some pocket change.

Keep talking the hall up. We have a rental for January already. We hope the slogan "the best price in town" is starting to pay off and word is starting to pay off. It is not only a slogan, it's a fact. If you hear of a planned shindig, have then call 662-7642 for all the good news of our low prices.
MONTHLY RAFFLE AT C. P. A. TICKETS FOR 1999 ARE NOW AVAILABLE. The cost of each ticket is $10.00. You might say "what do I get for this" It is thus explained. The raffle runs from March through December. At each regular meeting, 4 tickets are drawn from the hopper. After the Treasurer makes out the checks, the winning tickets are put back in the hopper for next months drawing. What you are really getting is a bargain. You are risking 10 bucks for 10 drawings, or 1 buck a month on 4 prizes. Those of you who read this know what the prizes are.

SCOTCH BOWLING Chrpsn Jim Tout
The next Scotch Bowling night will be on Saturday, January 30th 1999 We meet at the ball at 7 PM the go to Glenmore Bowl. The cost is still $25.00 per couple arid we are limited to 25 couple so get your reservations in now by calling Jim or Patti Tout at 574-4910. This will be our first Scotch bowling night this year. Those of you that have attended in the past know this to be a fun night. There's refreshments at the alleys , refreshments at the hall, a hot catered lunch plus awards. Not bad for 25 bucks.
