June 1999 Cheviot, Ohio (Issued Monthly) Issue 501
From the President Jerry Biederman
Time is moving quickly. The July regular meeting, to be held at Harvest Home Park on Monday July 19th is right around the corner. Fun and games begin at 4:00 P.M. Bring the whole family! Dinner will be served from 6:00 to 7:30. We will provide hot dogs, brats, metts and corn on the cob. The business meeting will begin at 8:00 P.M. with additional prizes during the meeting. The cost will be $3 per person to a maximum of $10 per family. Come and join us and celebrate the summer of C.P.A!
Speaking of the Summer of C.P.A., we will have additional details regarding the end of summer C.P.A. 5K run/walk at the July Meeting. This event will require the efforts of many volunteers. We ask for your help and support. Please give us some time, especially on the day of the race, Sunday September 26th.
If anyone else out there has any fund raising ideas or programs that would be appropriate, please give me a call, drop me a note or better still, come to a meeting and discuss the possibilities.
While I'm writing, I would like to thank Lou Winston and Ken Casey. These two guys have handled the change in newsletter editors and neither one has blown his horn enough. GREAT JOB LOU AND KEN! This just shows what can happen with cooperation and teamwork!
See you at the meeting - July 19th - Harvest Home Park - 4:00 P.M. Bring the Family.

Lollipop Soccer sign-ups are now in progress. If your son or daughter participated in our Lollipop League last year and is five years old this year, he/she should be receiving an application to join in again this year. If you know of a four or five year old boy or girl who would like to have a good time learning and playing soccer please let us know. Bob Herbort will be running the show this year. For more information call Lou Winston, 347-0589, Gordon Smyth, 481-2031 or Bob at 598-9515.
Our regular soccer season will start around the first of August. Coaches are still needed for six and seven year old boys and girls.
WCBM Soccer Association will be holding a referee training clinic August 3rd-5th; the clinic is open soccer enthusiasts 13 years of age or older. This is a good way for coaches to learn more about the game and for non playing adults to participate in the game. For more information, please call Ron Arrasmith at 574-7687.

We can still use volunteers for the July 11th outing. We will work from 3:00 until 9:30. This is an excellent fund raising opportunity for our club; volunteers receive tickets for a future visit to the park. Call Gordon Smyth at 481-2031 for more information.
