I hope everyone has enjoyed the Holiday Season. I would like to add my best wishes to those of the officers and board members of our club for the new year. Let's hope for a year of peace, health and happiness.

Our regular meeting on January 17^th will feature nominations for the election of new officers and governors. Don't stay home because of that. Please give serious thought to filling a spot on the ballot.

In addition, we will have important details on some issues with the club's building and a few other items that may affect our future as an organization. Your input and participation are critical.

Our Children's Christmas Party was a success! We had about forty children attendance along with parents and grandparents. Thanks to Bill Rehn, Ken Casey and Norb Briede for their assistance cleaning and reorganizing the hall and helping out during the party. Thanks also to George Burhoff for filling the special role he does so well. Lastly, thanks to my wife, Marcia. I couldn't do this without her help.

Thanks for a great year in 1999. Let's keep it going in 2000. See you on January 17, 2000!

This past semester, a number of our young athletes showed that they are just as much a star in the classroom as they are on the athletic field. The following C.P.A. ball players made their school's honor list: Sara Bickers, Alison Brenner, Ashley Brucato^s, Jennifer Brock^s, David Bruestle, Michelle Cooley^s, Stacey Cooper^s, Chris Fullam^s, Eric Grieszmer, Matthew Halusek, Aleksandra, Lenovski, Misty Morris, Frances Muse^s, and Anna Winston.

Baseball sign-ups will be held on January 15, 2000 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the club headquarters, 3706 Glenmore Ave. All interested children, ages 6-12 years are encouraged to check it out. Call Jay Essel at 598-1198 or Gordon Smyth at 481-2031.

When the bus stopped to pick up Chris for preschool, the bus driver noticed an older woman hugging him as he left the house.

"Is that your grandmother?" the driver asked.

Yes," Chris said. "She's come to visit us for Christmas."

"How nice," the driver replied. "Where does she live?"

"At the airport," Chris replied. "Whenever we want her, we just go out there and get her."
