Smiles

WHAT WE SHARE
When we share laughter,
There's twice the fun;
When we share success,
We've surpassed what we've done.
When we share problems,
There's half the pain;
When we share tears,
A rainbow follows rain.
When we share dreams,
They become more real;
When we share secrets,
It's our hearts we reveal.
If we share a smile,
That's when our love shows;
If we share a hug,
That's when our love grows.
If we share with someone
On whom we depend,
That person is always
Family or friend.
And what draws us closer
And makes us all care,
Is not what we have,
But the things that we share

Friends, you and me.....
you brought another friend...
and then there were three...
we started our group...
Our circle of friends...
And like that circle...
there is no beginning or end

The Circle...........

A ball is a circle,
No beginning, no end.
It keeps us together
Like our Circle of Friends
But the treasure inside
for you to see
is the treasure of friendship
You've granted to me.
Today I pass the friendship ball to you.
Pass it on to someone who is a friend to you.....

(CC-Russ)writes: I have never experienced a "lurker" on any list, however, I have heard directly from several "observers" who join a list to read only, because of many personal reasons - lack of time, shyness, fear of posting, etc.
The dictionary depicts a "lurker" as one who does so with an evil intent to harm. An "observer" is one who is completely harmless and observes to learn or enjoy. So a list "observer" is one who chooses to harmlessly observe, live, learn, and love differently than most. This makes them different, unique, and special people. To which, the acceptance of our differences and uniqueness is what makes America the Greatest Country on Earth. "Vive La Difference"!! Gene Ziegler of Cornell University wrote the poem below, and it captures my thoughts best. ENJOY... :-)))

The Lurking Difference
by Gene Ziegler

Those who lurk but never say
Learn to learn another way
Those who feel the need to write
Have a discourse path in sight
People learn with different skills
Different goals, and different wills
Yours is not as bad as mine
I can only write in rhyme.

Universal Rx

No monthly payments and no fees;
Inflation proof, non-taxable,
In fact, it's quite relaxable;
It can't be stolen, won't pollute,
One size fits all, do not dilute.
It uses little energy,
But yields results enormously.
Relieves your tension and your stress
Invigorates your happiness;
Combats depression, makes you beam,
And elevates your self-esteem!
Your circulation it corrects
Without unpleasant side effects.
It is, I think, the perfect drug:
May I prescribe, my friends . . . the hug!
(And, of course, fully returnable!)

An old, old grandmother
was shopping with her granddaughter. The grandmother
tried on a pair of bright turquoise, platform heel shoes
with glitter on the toes. She loved them, and paraded
around the store in them before announcing she would buy
them.
"But Grandma," the granddaughter said, "what will you wear them with?"
The grandma answered, "Defiance!"
