DAD
There's a special kind of feeling when you talk about your dad;
it's a pleasure to remember all the happy times you've had.
There's a special sort of feeling that's warm and loving too;
a special kind of pride that comes with loving thoughts of you.
There's a special kind of caring that is meant for him alone;
there's a place within your heart that only Dad can own!
With all our love Dad

Dad one year ago God put an end to your pain
Oh how we’ve missed you again and again
It was hard to let go so instead we’ve held on
Your loving embrace within our hearts still beats strong
We were blessed to have had you as a father and a friend
The memories of a lifetime will never ever end
If strength and wisdom and caring nature live
Deep within each of us you taught us how to give
Have no regrets and live each day as if it were your last
You gave us the best of values and it is hard to believe the time has passed
We miss your smile, we miss your hugs and we miss your loving embrace
Yet we are so thankful that we had the best father in the world ~ no better friend could ever take your place
Your love lives on within each of us and it will never end
To make the most of life is how our time we’ll spend
We lost so much a year ago ~ however we had gained so much more
To have known you and loved you has more than settled the score
Dad we miss you so very much, however, we know you are in a better place and for me you are with one very special angel, Jenny your granddaughter and my daughter. I don't know why things happen the way that they do Dad, but I know that these next few weeks are going to be a rough one with your passing away a year ago today and Jen's passing away on May 29, 1990. But I know you are both free of your pain now and right beside God with his other angels and that makes it a little more easier to accept. Dad you were one very special Dad and I hope you know how much you meant to all of us eight kids of yours...lol...you taught us how to continue on when times get rough and these are one of those times Dad. I hope I can continue and be the daughter that you wanted me to be ~ there to help people ~ for that I say thank you dad, you were a great leader and teacher. Miss you Dad and love you very much ~ would give anything for just another hug.
