Clarence Wilburn was a stranger to none
A friend to all he knew
He will be sadly missed by us all
God gave him his final call
God knew that his work on earth was done
God stretched out his hand and said, “Come home with me my son”
So Clarence went away that day
But the memories are in our hearts to stay
On May 20, 1998
Clarence left the love of his life
Lucille, his beloved wife
For fifty-two years through laughter and tears
The loving and caring
With patience and sharing
But the greatest legacy he left behind
The children of that union
Is the fathers love that gives strength to his sons,
Guidance to his daughters,
Because in him, his children see
The qualities he had
That they will look for those in each other
And in themselves
His loving and caring over the years
For brothers and sister, who shed the tears
His firemen buddies, his friends, his working crew
Those are just some to name a few
Don’t be sad for Clarence you see,
He’s got it all, he’s happy, he’s free!
So in memory of Clarence Wilburn today
For a husband’s devotion, a father’s love, his strength
His guidance, the qualities that made Clarence the
man we all knew, for the love he gave all his extended family
From the Wilburn Reunion
