Di's Last Will and Testament

Big thnanks to wowdreamer who is sweet enough to send me this article.

Princess Diana's powerful love for her two young sons continues to protect hem and guide them - and her will ensure that they'll be taken care of forever.

"Diana was only 36 when she died, but she was looking ahead," a source close to the palace told the GLOBE.

"She was genuinely worried about the monarchy's future. But she had great love and vision for her two boys, William and Harry, and the will is designed to protect them, especially Harry."

Di left most of her $80 million estate to her sons guaranteeing them financial security.

Although she received a sizable inheritance from her great-grandmother and more when her father Earl Spencer died 6 years ago, almost half, $35 million-came from her extraordinary divorce settlement, the largest in British History.

Sources say that the money, all blue-chip investments, was left in trust for the two young princes until they turn 25.

Prince William, the 16-year-old heir to the throne, also stands to inherit an additional royal fortune. If his father Prince Charles becomes king, William will assure the title Prince of Wales and take over the duchy of Cornwall, $160 million worth of land that yields $3 million a year after taxes.

Under British law, 14, year old Harry isn't entitled to any royal funds. His devoted mother was well aware of that and her will makes sure he never wants for anything.

Diana's lawyer, Anthony Julius who handled her divorce, will not discuss her magnificent collection of jewels, which is also part of her estate, or any other details of her will. But royal sources revealed that a fortune in jewels, including a $40, 000 sapphire diamond engagement ring from Charles, would go to her sons.

Many of Diana's most spectacular gems must be returned to the palace. "During the divorce settlement, she agreed that pieces which were special significance to the royal family would be returned to them on her death," an insider explained.

"They include gems worn by the royal generations ago that have historical importance."

All in all, Princess Diana's two sons were well looked after by their loving mother.

One day William and harry will be the most eligible young men in the world...and two of the riches.
