note: To all the ficton writers out there, if you think I haver copied your work, i'm sorry. The idea of this story just came out of my head...so if the lines or the plot is similar to yours, it is all truly coincidental...

*tip: this is pretty long so if I were you, I'd copy the story and paste it on Word and read it later so that you'll have more time to check out what kitty's page has to offer.

Chapter I
Cathy can hardly get a hold of herself as she got off the plane.
"I can't believe I'm actually in London! I can't hardly get over the thought that my parents let me spend my summer vacation here."
She rushed to the baggage claim area and went directly to the exit where her friend, Karen was waiting for her.
"Cathy, over here," yelled Karen as she waved her arms.
"Karen!" Cathy rushed to Karen and gave her a big hug. "I missed you. How's my best friend?"
"I'm quite alright. But I don't think you are. Here, let me take your bag."
"Thank you Karen, you're my lifesaver. My back hurts. Sitting for 13 hours isn't easy."
Karen laughed and they went to the parking lot. They got into the car and drove for 20 minutes before they reached the Dorchester Hotel. Karen helped Cathy settle in.
"So, what are you planning to do for the next 2 months?"
Cathy stared at Karen. " Girl, you have the accent. Is that what 2 years in London would do to you?"
"You'll get used to it."
"I hope so because I love the accent. Anyway, I don't know what I'd do here. Probably see some of the sites, shopbut there is only one thing I want to happened this summer and that is to catch a glimpse of my beloved prince."
"Catherine Simmonds, I can't believe you. I left California 2 years ago with you staring at his photograph. You even dreamt that you're gonna marry him. I can't believe you're still crazy about him.
"Correction, Karen Wilson. I am not crazy about him. I'm in love with Wills," said Cathy dreamy-eyed.
"Oh brother. How can you fall for someone you've never met?"
"How can you be so negative?"
"Why do you like him so much anyway?"
"He is a nice person, he's an athlete-one of the top 100 swimmers in England, he's kind, he know how being pressured to always look perfect feels. It's like we have the same things in common, we love sports, we love chocolate, we both crave for privacywe have this kind of mutual understanding"
"You mean you don't care that he's a prince? That he's going to be a King someday?"
"That's a part of the dream Karen, but frankly, believe me or not, I care for him more as a person. As a human being."
" I just want you to face the reality. Meeting Wills is one of the most impossible things in the universe."
"That's not how it happened in my dream."
"I think you're still a bit jet lagged. Sleep and I'll call you tomorrow. Well go around somewhere. I have an errand to run so I'll see you in the morning, Okay?"
"Thanks Karen. You're right. I have to get some shut-eye. Bye Karen. Oh and take one of the room keys if ever you need to get something here."
Karen took one of the keys from the desk. "Bye. Enjoy your first night in London." Said Karen as she closed the door behind her. Cathy washed-up and prepared for bed. Before pulling the cover, she said to herself, "No matter what, I am not going home without seeing Wills," then drifted of to sleep.

Chapter II
"Rrriiiinnng! Rrriiinnnggg!
Cathy rolled over. "what that? Oh great the phone."
She just stared at it for a while. "I'm on vacation, aren't I supposed to sleep the whole day?"
"Rrriiiinnng! Rrriiinnnggg! She grabbed the phone and said, "hello," in a very groggy voice.
"Hey Cathy! It's me, Karen. Wake up, sleepyhead. We've got a big day ahead of us."
"Karen, its 6:00 in the morning. Have some grief and leave me alone."
"Listen pillowhead, today, we are going to Eton College because today's their last day of classes. So if you want to catch a glimpse of Prince William meet me at the lobby in 30 minutes because he have to drive"
Cathy didn't let Karen finish. She slammed the receiver and got ready to leave.

Chapter III
"Are we there yet?" Cathy asked Karen. She was so excited.
"Oh my gosh, I cant believe I might actually see William in a few minutes. " She thought to herself, "What will I say, What will I do, How will I react?"
"For the 5th time, Catherine, no. We aren't there yet." Said Karen.
"Excuse me, Miss With the Perfect accent. It's not everyday I have a chance to see Wills, you know. Are you aware that we live in 2 different continents? The only way I get to see and talk to him is through my dreams."
"For God's sake's Cathy get a hold of yourself," As she stepped on the brakes.
"Ok. We're here. Now before you get out of the car, lets make this clear. If you won't be able to see William today before noon, we'll have to do the prince hunting some other day, Ok?"
"Thanks, Karen." Said Cathy.
When Cathy got off the car, all the questions she asked before got around her head at the same time. She felt so weird and so happy; she didn't know how to react.
When they entered the school, they were in awe. It was the biggest place Cathy has ever been in. She wondered about the architecture and history of the school. Then she wondered where the prince she's looking for is.
"So, Cathy, since you've heard so much about this school, where do you think Wills is?"
"I have absolutely no idea. This school is so big that he could be anywhere. He might be at Manor House, you know, his dorm?"
"And where is that?"
"I do not know!" then the two just cracked up laughing.
They walked to a room that said Art gallery.
"C'mon Karen, let's go here. Let's hang around for a while and try to look for Will's stone
"Stone house painting that was exhibited during the Eton art show," finished Karen.
"Wow, you know me that well?" laughed Cathy. "well excuse me but you managed to store it in my memory."
They looked around for a few minutes. Finally "Look, there it is. " Cathy ran to the painting. "Look at it. The sketch is so cool, this is a real work of art."
"Why thank you miss, I'm happy that you liked it, "said a deep male voice behind her.

Chapter IV
Cathy wondered. "I heard this voice before but I can't recall who." So she turned around and almost fainted at what she saw. She was staring face to face with Prince William himself.
Cathy can now only mutter a single "You're welcome," as they prince smiled.
"Catherine, get a hold of yourself. Relax, inhale, exhale, you've waited all your life for this moment. Relax. You know what to do. You know what happened in one of your dreams, you became good friends and he asked you out then you got married when he was crowned King. Everything turned out to be good. Wait, no you don't know what to do, this is the prince in the flesh! Ok, relax, inhale, exhaledon't show that your crazy about him," she told herself.
"You're not from around here, are you?" the Prince asked.
"How did you know?"
The prince smiled. "Your accent's different,"
"Uh-oh," Catherine said to herself. "Of course you accent's different didn't you think he'd notice that?"
"Yes, I'm an American. My name's Catherine, Catherine Simmonds, but you can call me Cathy."
"Hi Cathy, I'm William, but you can call me Wills. My pleasure to meet you."
Cathy thought, "Man, he is tall. Thank you platforms, you made me grow, 4 inches!"
Wills began asking her a lot of questions and she began to feel more relaxed and at ease. She kept pinching herself just to make sure she wasn't dreaming. She wasn't aware of Karen and the time until Karen patted her back.
"Hi Cathy, nice to see you again," grinned Karen.
"Karen, hi where have you been? Wills, I'd like you to meet my best friend, Karen Wilson."
"Good Afternoon, Karen. Cathy has told me all about you."
"Nothing bad, I hope," smiled Karen. "I'm sorry to intrude your Royal Highness, but Cathy and I have to go back to the city because I have to be home before noon for I have to go to one of my classes and.."
"Don't worry about Cathy, Karen, I'll take her home. Can I have your permission to let your friend stay here for a while, Karen?" asked Wills.
"Why of course your Royal Highness, no problem at all."
"Please Karen call me, Wills."
"Wills it is then. It was nice meeting you Wills, but I have to go, goodbye and
Cathy take care of yourself, Ok?"
"Be careful, Karen. I'll see you. Bye" said Cathy. So Wills and Cathy were alone one again and Wills gave her a tour of the school.
"How did you know it was the last day of our classes?"
"Word gets around. " smiled Cathy.
"I am so lucky." She said to herself.
She can't take her eyes off Wills &Wills cant stop staring at her, too.
"Do you want to watch the swim team? We have a competition today."
Cathy wanted to see Wills swim in action for she has heard so much about him being a great swimmer. "Yes, I'll be rooting for you, Wills."

Chapter V
Wills won the competition and Cathy ran to congratulate him.
"Congratulations Wills. You broke your own record!"
"Well, I have someone who inspired me today," said Wills as his face turned red.
Cathy could feel her face blush.
"He is so great, "she thought.
He introduced her to his friends and everyone played around for a while. Cathy was having so much fun. Wills was everything she thought he would be.
It was sunset and everyone started to leave. It wasn't long before Cathy and Wills were alone again.
"Cathy, this day has been so great. I never had so much fun in a while. You're a great person to be with. I like you, Cathy. Um, Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?"
Cathy was so surprised she can only manage to nod her head "yes". She was so happy, she didn't think it over.
"So, I'll see you tonight. Where and when should I pick up?" asked Wills. "Funny of you asking me out on a date and you don't even know where I'm staying." laughed Cathy. "How about 7:30 at the Dorchester?"
"7:00 it is then."
"So, umm, I guess I better go and get ready," Cathy said sheepishly.
"Yeah, me too."
"Wait, I forgot, I have to take you home!" remembered Wills.
"Why yes, I guess you have to take me back to the hotel!"
They both looked at each other and laughed all the way to the car.

Chapter VI
Cathy got to the Hotel at about 5:30 in the afternoon. She ran to the phone as fast as she could and punched in Karen number.
"Karen it's me."
"Hey, easy. I know it's you. So, what's up? I can't believe you actually saw Prince William. I stayed here for two"
Cathy can no longer hold back her feelings. "Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
Karen I am the happiest girl on the planet!"
"Ouch! I think I just got deaf." Said Karen. What's up with you?"
"Karen, I met Wills, I watched him swim, he won, I met his friends, we talked we got to know each other HE ASKED ME OUT ON A DATE AND HE"LL PICK ME UP AT 7:30 AND I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR," said Cathy all in one breath.
"Cats, I'm so happy for you where are you gonna go, what are you gonna do?"
"He said we'll have dinnerKaren, I need you."
"I'll be there in a jiffy. If I take the tube, I'll be there in 20 minutes. Wait for me."
"Tube? What tube?" "The subway. Look I'll see you later if you want me there now, put the phone down. I'm leaving bye!"

Chapter VIII
"Okay. Let me see your closet, "said Karen as she entered the room. "How about this?" as she pulled out a black lace skirt from the hanger.
"We'll hello to you too, Karen. It's nice to see you."
"Look Simmonds, we have no time to talk. What do you think of this," as she showed the skirt to Cathy.
"I'm not going to eat dinner with a prince wearing only a skirt."
"That is so funny. Hahaha. Look Cathy, we have to rush for time how about this skirt and thisyes. This perfect!" as she pulled out a red box tank top."
"That's great! That's perfect. And I cold wear my new clogs with it."
"Girl, with your height, you'll need all the clogs that you could get," said Karen.
"Ouch! That hurt! Hey, Being 5 foot flat is not easy, especially if your with someone who's over 6' tall. Wait, what will I wear over it? It's still cold out there you know."
"Try this," said Karen as she pulled a long leather coat in beige out of the drawer.
"Karen I love you!" as she ran to gave Karen a big hug.
"Your welcome, Cats. Now hurry get changed co'z you have an hour left before Wills comes.

Chapter IX
At St. James Palace
"Well, well, well, don't you look chuffed," said Harry as he entered Wills' room.
"Now where's my royal brother headed tonight? Are you out with a bird?" asked Harry.
"Yes, Henry. I have a dinner date with a Ms. Simmondsnow will you please leave the room."
"C'mon Wills, I am not here to bother you. It's just that you look quite dashing tonightI can't believe I said that!" as Harry slapped his forehead.
"Thank you, Harry!" laughed Wills.
"So, c'mon describe her. Is she pretty, where did you meet?
Wills opened the window and got a breeze of fresh air. "Harry, she's pretty, She's Asian but she lives in the US now she's on vacation here."
"And"
"Her eyesher brown eyes are sparkling. Her reddish, brownish hair's short, she's got this real sweet smile that show her perfect set of teeth, she's a bit tan she's not that tall though, only about 5' I think. She's also quite chubbier than the other girls, but her eyeswe talked for the whole afternoon and I never fancied someone like her. We talked about life, sports, current issues, we found similarities we discovered a lot about each other. I never felt this way about a girl before."
"Whew! Wills, you fancy this girl don't you!"
"I do, and I think she feels the same way."
"Are you sure she feels the same way? What if she's just like those birds you hate so much? You know, those who only talk to you because the word "prince" comes before you name?"
Will's sat down at the edge of his bed and thought. "No Harry. That's quite impossible. I'm telling you. Her eyes show her real selfshe's special, Harry, even if I only met her today. I guess it seems like we have this mutual understanding of things"
"William, I'm not discouraging you. I just want to make sure that you found the girl that won't betray you."
"For a younger brother, you're smart," said Wills as he stood up. "Now, I'll finish getting ready."
"And I'll go tell papa!" said Harry as he left the room. "Oh and before I forget, it's your valet's week off and he won't be back till Monday. Enjoy your weekend. But wear your tracker, though."
"Yes!" Wills said happily.

Chapter X
"Cathy you look great!" said Karen as she looked at Cathy.
"Thanks. I owe it all to you. I've only got 10 more minutes before 7:30thanks for helping me get ready Karen."
"Cathy, your welcome. I know how special this time is for you."
They hugged each other tightly as someone knocked on the door.
"Ohmigod! He's here. What should I do, What should I say?" Panicked Cathy.
"Relax, be yourself. Here, go to the bathroom and when I call your name, come out. I'll open the door."
Karen checked herself and walked to the door. " Good eve"she didn't finish her sentence because she never saw the prince that close before. She was caught speechless because of how well Wills looked.
"Good evening to you too, Karen," laughed Wills. "Is Cathy ready?"
"Come in Wills. I'll call Cathy. Sit down, pls. Do you need anything?"
"No thank you. Just your best friend," smiled Wills
"Hold on," said Karen as she went to call Cathy.
When Cathy opened the door, she said "Catherine, don't let this man out of your sight. He's the most gorgeous thing I ever saw!"
"Now you know how I feel," said Cathy as she got out of the door she was on her way to Wills when she stopped.
"Oh my God, does he look good or what?" she said to herself.
Wills was dressed in a blue, long sleeved polo shirt with beige slacks. His hair was combed neatly and he smelled so good. His eyes sparkled and his smile was so great!
"Cathy nice to"he stopped and stared at Cathy.
"You're the single, most beautiful thing I ever saw," he said to himself.
Cathy's clothes showed off her figure and she was wearing 4-inch heels, her hair was in a bun and they let little fringes fall out. She had a single choker on and smelled of flowers.
"You look gorgeous Cathy, flowers for you, "as he handed he a bouquet of pink roses.
"Why thank you Wills, I love pink roses."
Wills and Cathy can't take their eyes of each other.
"I dreamt of this moment," thought Cathy.
"I guess we better get going, we have our reservations."
"Oh, okay, Um, thanks so much again Karen."
"Yes, Karen, thank you for helping, Cathy"
"That's okay. Now, go you two. And don't worry, I'll lock the door for you."
"Bye, " said the two as they left the room, looking deep in each other's eyes.

Chapter XI
"That was a scrumptious dinner, Wills, thank you," said Cathy.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it."
The music changed and 'More Than You'll Ever Know' was being played as couples began to get up to the dance floor.
"Wow, this is my favorite song ever."
"And why is that?" asked Wills
'"Well listen to the lyrics, you want to tell the person that you care for him. And when you do tell him that you love him, he still doesn't know how much he means to you, no matter how many times you tell him that you care for him so much."
Wills stood up and handed his hand to Cathy.
"Would you like to dance?"
"How could I say no?"
Wills led her to the dance floor, with his hand on her back. They got their place at the center and he put his right hand on her curvy waist, the other on her hand. He was nearly a foot taller than she was but he didn't care.
"She's so special." He thought.
"I can't believe this. Please, if I'm dreaming don't wake me up," thought Cathy as he looked in his eyes.
The music was still playing and they said no words to each other. The just looked at each other eyes so deeply.
After a while, the music ended and they stopped dancing. They just stared at each other, about to kiss, when a bright light flashed.
"The paparazzi!" William ran and left Cathy in the dance floor by herself.

Chapter XII
"Wills, where are you?" yelled Cathy as burst of the door of the restaurant.
"I'm right here," said a voice behind a bush.
"Wills, what happened?" asked Cathy.
"Oh Cathy, I'm so sorry. It's just that the paparazzi and"
"Hush Wills, I know how you feel. It's hard to have all those people follow you and watch your every move. But I'm here Wills, don't worry.
"You don't know how I feel. It's just that it reminds me so much of my mum's death. It was all their fault," cried Wills.
"William, don't think I don't know how you feel. I know how hard it is to lose a parent. I know all the pain you went through when a loved on dies. My father passed away when I was 6. Even if I was only six then, I realized how important it is to have a family and how death hurts. I became responsible for myself and became quite independent which mad me not trust anybody. People were afraid of my change in attitude and my mom hired someone to follow me around just to make sure I'm secure, but I'm not. I had no one to trust until I met Karen, but it's just too hard." Tears began to well in Cathy's eyes.
"My mom remarried but I still long for the love of a real father. Yes, I had all those people around me, but I miss my dad. Until now, I would still dream about him and how much I want him to be by my side. We were so close, he was my confidante, and I miss him. So don't tell me I don't know how you feel!' cried Cathy.
Wills hugged Cathy. "I'm sorry Cathy, I really am. Please don't let this ruin out night."
"I'm sorry too, Wills."
"They dried their tears and went back to the restaurant to finish off the rest of the night.

Chapter XIII
It was about 1:00 when they looked at their watches.
"Cathy, I never had so much fun in a while. Thank you."
"Me too, Wills. Thank you."
"Cathy"
"Cathy, I I like you, um, more than you'll ever know I enjoyed the night. I really did. I never thought I'd feel so comfortable with a girl like you before."
Cathy was speechless. "He likes me, I can't believe it!" She hugged Wills as tight as she could.
"Wills, I like you, too. More than you'll ever know."
"I know this is rather soon butwould you be my girlfriend?
Cathy was shocked. She didn't know what to say. She was so happy that she was only able to utter "yes".
Their heads got closer and kissed under the moonlight.
"Wow!' Cathy thought.
"That was great," thought Wills.
"I guess I better take you to the Hotel now, luv, It's about 1:30 in the morning."
"Yes, you better," said Cathy as she kissed Wills again.
"Let me check my purse to see it I left something inside." She opened her bag and found that her hotel room key was missing.
"Oh no!" said Cathy.
"Why what's wrong?"
"I left my keys in the hotel room. What am I gong to do? Where will I sleep tonight?"
"Don't worry, Cathy. I'll take you to St. James. "
"St. James Palace? Why that's where you're staying."
"Yes. I want you to met Harry and papa anyway, why not spend the night there?"
"Are you sure it's ok? I mean what will people think?
"Don't worry about them. You're my girlfriend, remember?
Cathy smiled. " Know what Wills, I feel so weird if I'm with you without your bodyguard around."
"Well, they're probably behind those bushes," kidded Wills "I still have this tracking device with me so they still know where I am." Laughed Wills.

Chapter XIV
"We're here," said Wills as they came into the Palace.
"Wow! This is great."
The room was furnished with antiques and great big rugs. It seems to be full of figurines and other statues with complete the living room.
'Why William, you're finally home." Prince Charles said, as he closed one of his books. I was just finishing up on my paperwork.
"Good morning, papa," smiled Wills. "Don't be fooled by the innocent act Cathy, he always waits up for papa and Harry always wait for me. I don't know, I guess they expect me to come home married," laughed Wills.
"Where's Harry, papa?"
Charles smiled. "He 's already asleep. He said he could always bother you in the morning. "
"See what I mean," said Wills, looking at Cathy.
"And who is this young lady with you?"
"Papa, I want you to meet my girlfriend, Cathy."
Cathy introduced herself. "I'm Ms. Catherine Simmonds, your Royal Highness. It's my distinct pleasure meeting you" as she curtsied.
"It an honor meeting you too Ms. Simmonds, but please, there's no need to curtsy. Charles looked at Wills and grinned. "You have a pretty charming young lady with you William. "
"Cathy is going to spend the night here, father."
"Well, you have to help her then, William. I have to go to bed for I have a lot of task tomorrow. Goodnight, I mean, Good morning. And it was nice meeting you, Cathy."

"Good morning," said the two in unison.

Chapter XV
"So Wills, where are you gonna let me sleep?" asked Cathy.
"We'll there are a bunch of rooms here but the rest of the rooms are being renovated so I guess you have to sleep in my room."
"Where are you going to sleep if I sleep in you room ?" joked Cathy.
Wills laughed and Cathy Giggled as Wills led her to a room . One of his men opened the door to the room, the couple went in and Cathy looked around. There were books, Princess Diana's photos, a trophy and an Eton College jersey. Cathy stopped and looked at Wills. "William, this is your room, isn't it?"
"What's wrong, don't you like my room? Is it messy?" asked Wills
"No, um it's just that, I didn't think you were serious about making me sleep in you room."
"What's wrong with that?"
"What will your father think?"
"Cathy, my father is fully aware that the other rooms are being renovated. He knows your gonna sleep here."
"Umm ok. But I have nothing to wear."
William grabbed a big tee shirt from his closet. "How about this?"
"Thanks, I better go change."
"Umm the bathroom's over there," pointed Wills.
"Okay."
Cathy got in the bathroom and got ready to change. The tee shirt is big and it came below her knees. She can't believe all the things that have happened to her. "I really am in love with Wills," she thought. I can't let him go now," she thought.
Outside, Wills took his clothes off and left only his boxers on. Cathy got out and saw that he looked really good, even in his boxers. Wills thought that even in a plain tee shirt, Cathy looked perfect.
"So, which side do you want to take?" asked Wills.
"I don't know, I never slept with anyone before, I mean that in a literal way. You knowgo to sleep with someone on one bed."
Wills smiled. "How about here?"
"Fine with me." Cathy went to the right side of the bed and lied down. Wills lay down beside her. There was an eerie feeling in the room.

"Cathy, I want you to know that you're the most special person in m life now," he kiss Cathy "Goodnight,"
Cathy was already asleep. She was so tired.
Wills smiled, "I love you Cathy," as he kissed her forehead and turned off the lights.

Chapter XVI
Cathy woke up with William's arms around her. It was 7:00 in the morning and Cathy still can't get over what had happened. She looked at Wills and played with his hair, as she thought about the events that happened yesterday.
" I can't believe this." She exclaimed to herself. "All my life, I've always wished that my dreams would come true, and it eventually did. I met Wills, we spent the whole day with each other yesterday, and nowmiracles do happened if you believe."
She kissed Wills' forehead and said to herself, "I love you Wills, I want to tell you so bad but I'm scared you don't feel the same way. I don't care if you own a country; I love you for the person you are. You are the greatest thing that came into my life. I can't believe I lived for 15 years without you."
She stared at Wills for a while, thinking how peaceful he looked as he sleeps, away from all the burdens in his life. As if his life has been perfect. "He still looks so good even when he's asleep," thought Cathy as she kissed William's nose.
Wills woke up with Cathy's kiss. "Good morning, " as she tried to open his eyes. "How was your sleep?"
"Thanks to you, I had a place to sleep in," kidded Cathy.
Wills loves Cathy's sense of humor; it seemed to break the ice whenever there's tension around. Wills smiled and kissed Cathy on the lips, Cathy kissed back, and then Harry came barging in into William's room.
"William wakeoh. Sorry," said Harry as he saw William and Cathy Kissing each other.
They pulled away and William said, "Good morning to you too, Henry," said Wills in an annoyed voice. " Don't you know how to knock?"
"Sorry Wills, papa just asked me to wake you up, I didn't know you hadum company overumm Good morning Ms umMs"
"Simmonds, Cathy Simmonds," finished Cathy.
"Ms. Simmonds," repeated Harry " and Oh Mighty brother of mine, breakfast is now readyso umI guess I have to go now, right? You know, leave you two alone again," said Harry.
"Yes Harry, we'll go down in a few minutes, now bugger off!' ordered Wills.
"Bye," said Harry as he left the room smiling.
"Now where were we?" Asked Wills.
"I think this is where we left off," said Cathy as she kissed Wills again. They were kissing for about a minute when Cathy pulled away.
"What's wrong?" inquired Wills.
"Nothing, I just realized what do you think your brother thought we did? I mean, he found us kissing on your bed in your room, while you had no shirt on andand"
" Cathy, you know we didn't do anything wrong, there's no reason to feel guilty about it. My house is your house. You're free to stay here anytime you want."
"Thanks," said Cathy.
"Now give me a quick kiss before we head down for breakfast," ordered Wills. Cathy gave him a quick smack then they got ready to go down and eat.

Chapter XVII

"Harry, did you call your brother?" asked Prince Charles.
"Yes papa," as he sat down at the breakfast table. " But I came in his room at the wrong time."
'Why is that?"
"Well, he was snogging a girl in his room at this time in the morning," exclaimed Harry.
Prince Charles snickered.
"What?" asked Harry.
"Henry, the girl William was with last night is the same girl you saw in his room this morning," smiled the Prince.
Harry took a bite from the toast. " Then what is she doing here?" asked Harry.
"Harry, I believe Cathy is William's girlfriend. He introduced me to her last night, you were already in bed then."
"He asked her to be his girlfriend? Wow, that was quick, even for someone like Wills."
"Now, now Harry. Don't worry, your time will come," said Prince Charles. " I met Cathy before going to bed and she's really charming." "Ohokay," Said Harry as Wills and Cathy came into the dining room. Cathy was wearing a blue bathrobe while Wills put a tee shirt on.
"Okay what Harry?" asked Wills.
"Nothing," smiled Harry.
"Very well then. Good morning Papa, Harry. Harry, you haven't been formally introduced to my girlfriend, Catherine Simmonds, Cathy, you know my brother, Harry."
"It's a pleasure to finally meet the person who caught my brother's eye," said Harry.
"My pleasure to meet you too," smiled Cathy.
Wills led Cathy to sit beside him. Everyone talked for a few minutes, while Cathy was quietly eating her breakfast, she didn't know how to act, Wills saw Cathy's facial expression and held her hand, he told her everything's going to be alright, which assured Cathy, a soon, she began to relax.
"So Cathy," asked Harry, " What brought you to our humble abode?" Cathy smiled and said, " I left the key to my hotel room inside the hotel room."
The three princes laughed as Cathy put a sheepish grin. "Speaking of which, how are you going in tonight?" asked Wills. "I guess, I better call Karen, she has a spare key." "William, Cathy, I want to talk matters over with you two," said Prince Charles as he placed down his cup of coffee and put on a serious facial expression.
"What are you planning to tell the media?"
Wills stopped eating and thought. He looked at Cathy and she shooked her head.
"Papa, as early as now, we don't want to tell the media anything."
"Well, I guess it will be our little secret then," smiled the Prince. " You are always welcome here Cathy."
"Thank you, your Royal Highness," answered Cathy.
"How long are staying here in London?" asked Harry
"For about 2 months, I'll have to go back to California in September." "And you will be staying in a hotel that long? How about this, why don't you spend the rest of the summer here in St. James. You and William could spend more time together and the renovation was finished yesterday and you could stay in either of the rooms," said Prince Charles.
Wills was surprised.
"Papa, you didn't tell me that the renovation was over. Why didn't you tell me that last night?"
The prince just gave William a smile.
"Why thank you, I might take that offer," said Cathy.
"Please, pretty please," as Wills put on a puppy dogface.
"I guess I better call Karen first." Prince Charles stood from the table. "I have to go now boys, Cathy. I have a meeting to attend to. I'll see you all tonight."
"Goodbye," said the three in unison.
"Wills, can I go back to the Hotel? I'll just fix my stuff and"
"Don't worry about that, I'll bring you there. But I'll have to pick you up afterwards, I want to take you somewhere."
"Fine with me," smiled Cathy. "Thank you Wills, you made my stay here in London worthwhile."
"Anything for you Cathy," he moved his head, closer to Cathy, they were about to kiss when
"Excuse me," said Harry, "Can you do that later because I'm trying to eat my breakfast here," interrupted Harry. The two looked at Harry, and laughed. They finished the rest of the meal, and got ready to leave.

Chapter XVIII

Karen came to the Hotel room to check on Cathy, but she was surprised that Cathy wasn't there. She panicked for a while and thought that if she waited for a while, Cathy would be back. "Maybe she just went out and bought a donut, I hope," thought Karen. She left the door wide open and waited for Cathy to come.
Cathy and William were walking hand in hand and she was wearing what she wore last night. Wills' was dressed as casual as the boy next door was, in his Levi's and jersey. Cathy was surprised to see the door in her room open. They ran in and were surprised to see Karen on the couch.
"Karen," yelled Cathy.
"Hey, you're back. Where have you been? Hi Wills! " She looked at Cathy and said, why are you wearing the same outfit you wore last night?"
"I'll explain to you later."
"Cathy, I'll see you later. I'll pick you up at about 3:00 later, is that alright?"
"Yes, I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you, too."
"I'll miss you more," said Cathy. Cathy gave him a kiss and he kissed back. It took about a minute when they pulled away and Wills said goodbye. When William left the room, Cathy was still in a dreamy state.
"Alright Cathy, I want you to scream as loud as you could, you know, the way you always do when you see William's face in one of the magazines," ordered Karen.
"No Karen, not anymore, I outgrew that, I am in love now, I really am, I love him more than anything in the planet."
"Who are you and what did you do with my friend?"
"I still am the same person, Karen. I love Wills, I love him more now."
Karen smiled and realized that Cathy was really in heaven, She knew how Cathy felt for she had a boyfriend of her own. "So, tell me, what happened last night?" Cathy told her everything. From the moment the got into the car to the minute they walked in the room. Karen was laughing so hard when Cathy told her how Harry walked in on them.
"I can't believe it, he is really your boyfriend."
"Karen, I dreamed of this moment. I want to tell him I love him so bad."
"They why didn't you?"
"I don't know, I guess, he might not feel the same way and I don't want to ruin this moment."
"Cathy, time will comenow, let's fix your stuff and get ready to spend your days in London staying at St. James Palace!"

Chapter XIX

William returned to him room and laid down on his bed. He closed his eyes and recalled the night with Cathy. He smiled at grabbed a pillow and held it so tight, he wished she was there, this very moment, then Harry came and ruined his mood all over again.
"Why do you always have to barge in at the wrong time?" asked Wills. "I'm sorry if you got your knickers on too tight. I just want to know everything about Cathy." He sat on one of the couches and told Wills to start talking.
William told him about everything, and Harry was quite thankful that Cathy wasn't the person he thought she is, and Wills assured him that.
"Harry, I want to tell her I love her so much, but I didn't"
"Why? What's wrong? You've been In love with her ever since you met, what's wrong?"
"I love her, but I'm not sure she feels the same way, I don't want to ruin what we has together, I guess I'll just have to wait for the right moment to come."
Harry patted William's back and said, " Mum would've been proud of you," then left the room.
The image of his mother came over his head. "I miss you mum," he muttered and the closed his eyes and thought, "I can't let another woman out of my life," as he drifted off to sleep.

Chapter XX

William picked up Cathy at the Hotel at about 3:00 in the afternoon. They got into the Land rover and drove to St. James to drop off Cathy's luggage there.
"So, Where do you wan t to go?" Asked Wills.
" I don't know, I mean, you live here," smiled Cathy.
"Well, do you want to go shopping?"
"Wills, I thought you'd never ask!"
William laughed. "Well, you're a girl. You're born to shop."
They got back in the Land Rover. Wills took the steering wheel.
"Wait a minute, you're driving?"
"Well yes. I asked Dennis to take a break so that I could take you out myself," beamed Wills.
"I guess I better fasten my seat belt"
"Ouch, that hurt" Said Wills.
"Just kidding, honey. I'm sorry if I insulted you."
"I'm kidding, too. Besides, Maxwell and Thomas will be trailing behind us," as he looked at the black Mercedes behind him.
Cathy laughed.
Wills started the engine and they began to drive through London. They managed to pass by the different sights like Buckingham Palace and the London Bridge.
They drove to Oxford Street and Wills showed her the stores where he liked to shop. They walked around for a while. After a few hours, they got tired and went for a snack.
"What's wrong, Wills?" asked Cathy as she put her iced tea away. "You keep on looking around?"
"Sorry, luv. I was just on the paparazzi look out."
Cathy stood up and looked around "Nope. No sight of a guy in a reporter's jacket carrying a camera with huge lens here."
Wills grinned as Cathy sat down again. "Thanks, luv."
"You're welcome, honey," smiled Cathy.
"Is that what we're supposed to call each other now, honey and luv?"
"I kind of like it. It sounds sweet."
Wills smiled. Then he poked Cathy at the waist.
"Hey stop that. It tickles," ordered Cathy.
Wills stood up. "C'mon, luv. It's almost dinnertime. Let's go."

Chapter XXI

When they got to St. James
"Cathy, why don't you go ahead and get ready. I'll be up in a while."
"Alright, honey," She kissed Wills on the cheeks and went up to her room.
"Hi bro," said Harry. "You're back. How was your day? Where's Cathy?"
"She's getting ready for dinner."
"You look chuffed."
"Uh huh," grinned Wills. "Harry, I love her. I never felt so strong about someone in my whole entire life."
"Great. Well, what did she say?"
"Nothing."
"What? How could she not say anything?"
"Because I haven't told her yet."
"What kind of person are you?"
"Thank you for making me feel stupid," said Wills. "I'm just scared. Well, I mean what if she doesn't feel the same way?"
"Are you out of your bloody mind? You spent the past days with her and I could see for myself that you become a happier person. You asked her to be your girlfriend, she said yes. You snog each other, and I am a witness! You know she stares at your eyes when you talk. She tell you stuff about you and you think she doesn't love you? I can see it Wills. She doesn't just fancy you."
Wills thought for a while. 'You're right. I'll tell her tomorrow night."
'Why wait till tomorrow?"
"Well, I'm going to have something planned, and I need you to help me."
"That's the spirit."
"I said this once and I'll say it again. You know, you're quite smart for a younger brother."
'Hey, that's what I'm here for."
"I'll tell you my plan later. Now I better go check on my girlfriend."

Cathy was in the room Charles provided for her. It was connected to William's.
She lied on the bed and thought.
"I love him, but why can't I tell him? Sure, I know I'm his girlfriend but he might thinkwhy couldn't he just tell me? Life would be so much more easier."
She smiled at the thought. She thought about the things she and William did together. It's only been 2 days, why does it seem so long?"
"Knock, Knock, Knock"
"Come In"
"Hi Luv, "peeked Wills. "Dinner's ready. Papa's home, too,"
"Oh Goody," said Cathy,
"Wills walked to Cathy's bed and kissed her forehead. "C'mon. Let's go."

Chapter XXII

After a few hours, Wills and Cathy got ready for bed.
"'Night Wills," said Cathy.
"Goodnight, Cathy."
They kissed each other under the post of the connecting door.
'Why don't we just keep this door open?"
"Why not?"
They kissed each other goodnight once again and decided to go to sleep.
"Man, he looks sexy," thought Cathy as she glanced at Wills in his boxers." She closed he eyes and went to sleep.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
Cathy woke up. "What was that?" She looked at the clock. It's two-o clock in the morning!
"Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
"There it is again," thought Cathy. "What is thatoh my gosh, Wills." She stood up and ran to William's room.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Cathy shook Wills. "Wills, Wills wake up!" she said.
"Wills opened his eyes. 'Oh Cathy. I'm so happy to see you," he hugged her tightly.
"Knock, knock, knock"
"Is everything alright?" asked one of Wills' bodyguards.
"Yes, he's fine,
"What's going on?" asked Prince Charles. "William are you alright?"
Wills nodded.
"Did you have one of your nightmares or something? I thought you already outgrew that phase," said Harry as he went in Wills' room with his eyes closed."
One of the maids handed Wills a glass of water.
"Jeez, It seems that everyone in this house is in William's room."
Wills took a sip and caught his breath. "Yes, everyone, I'm quite alright. Thank you and I'm sorry if I ruined your sleep."
"Are you alright now?" Asked Cathy.
"Yes Luv, I'm alright."
"We'll, I guess we better get to bed then. Goodnight, William. Try to sleep soundly next time." Said Charles as everyone left the room.
"Honey, are you ok?" asked Cathy.
"Cathy, I was so scared."
"Hush now. Do you want to talk about it?"
"Cathy, I dreamt that I lost you. I can't bear to lose you Cathy. I simply couldn't lose another person that I love in my life."
"Oh my," Cathy said to herself. "He said he loves me." She could feel her face turn red. "Wills loves me" She smiled.
"Please, luv. Please stay here. I want to make sure that you won't leave me."
" I won't leave you Wills. Never ever. Here, I'll sleep here beside you." Cathy fixed the pillows and turned off the lights. "Go back to sleep Wills. You need to rest." She kissed William and slept beside him.

Chapter XXIII

The next day
Cathy opened her eyes and yawned. She looked at the clock, "8:30, figures, "she thought. She rubbed her eye. What's this?" she thought, when she saw the piece of paper beside the clock addressed to her. She sat down, yawned and opened the note.
Everdearest Cathy,

Good morning, luv. Did you have a nice sleep? I did. Thank you for being there for me. I can't thank you enough. I'm so sorry for leaving like this but there is something I have to arrange`soon. I'll see you later tonight. Again, thank you. Everything I told you last night was true, I care for you deeply, please don't leave me.
Cathy sat back put the note close to her heart and sighed.
"Yes! William loves me," she smiled.
"I'm so happy, he didn't tell me directly but, sigh, I love him I just have to tell him, and soon," she told herself. "But first, I better get breakfast, I'm hungry!"
She grabbed her robe, put on her slippers, brushed her hair and headed down.
At the dining room, Harry greeted Cathy.
"Hi Cathy! Nice to see you up!" Harry greeted cheerfully.
"Good Morning to you, too," smiled Cathy, as one of the servants pulled her seat so that she can settle in.
"Thank you," Cathy told the servant.
'You are very welcome, Miss," said the servant as he excused himself.
"You know what Cathy? You should get used to that."
"Get used to what?" asked Cathy
"You know, the servant here, the maid therein other words, life at the palace."
Cathy fidgeted, "I don't know, I'm sorry Harry, but this has come as quite a shock to me."
"Ah, I see. That's ok, you have 2 months, you'll get used to it.'
"Thanks for everything," smiled Cathy.
"Oh no, you got that wrong." "I beg your pardon?"
"Thank you," said Harry.
"For what? I didn't do anything." Cathy said, bewildered.
"Thank you for making my brother human again, well, you know what I mean," smiled Harry.
Cathy can't help but blush.
The two continued eating their breakfast and started to get to now each other better.
"So, what are you planning to do for the rest of the day? Since my brother's out and all," asked Harry.
"Um, I don't know, I'll probably meet up with Karen."
"Karen?"
"Oh, sorry. I didn't tell you. Karen Wilson. She's my best friend, she used to live in California but she moved here in London about 2 years ago, she's 2 years older than I am. She's like my sister, older sister."
Oh, Ok. That's great, at least you know someone here in London, aside from us," grinned Harry.
He looked at the clock, " Cathy, I'm sorry to leave like this but I have to run. I have to pick something up from Oxford, I hope you don't mind me leaving.
"Will you be alright?"
"Oh no, That's OK. Thank you Harry. But do you mind if I use the phone?"
"Our house is your house, wait, let me rephrase that. Our palace is your palace." Joked harry.
Cathy just giggled.
"Well, bye sis!"
"Bye! Take Care!"
Cathy smiled as she finished her soufflis. Then she realized something. "Did Harry call me sis?"
She leaned back on the chair and smiled.

Chapter XXIV

Cathy called up Karen and they decided to meet at a little French Cafi near Piccalilli Circus "So what else is going on with the royals? They seem to be treating you really well."
"Yes, everyone is great," said Cathy. She looked around, "Is everyone in London right here at the same time?" she asked as a bunch of people are walking around the area.
"You'll get used to it, darling," said Karen.
"Everyone's telling me that!" said Cathy
"Everyone's telling you what?"
"That I'll get used to it. Jeez! William, Charles, Harry, and now, you. What's up with you guys?"
Karen laughed. "I said it once and I'll say it again"
"Don't tell me, I'll finish it for you. 'You'll get used to it'," Cathy said as she shook her head.
Karen just giggled, "So have you mentioned the "L" word to William yet?"
Cathy bit her lip and leaned back, "No, not yet," She said as she starred at the people crossing the street. "I don't know, I love him. I'm crazy about him, but I'm just scared that, he might not feel the same way. She leaned forward and looked at Karen. "What if we're both infatuating?" She leaned back again, "No, This is too strong, I don't know. How long should two people date before they say 'I love you'?" "In 7th heaven, 4 months," smiled Karen as she referred to the US TV show." "
C'mon, Karen. I need help here," whined Cathy. "What's wrong with you? William loves you!" Karen shouted out.
Cathy looked down as people began to stare at them. "A little bit more louder Karen, so that people in Asia can here what you said! Besides, how'd you know that?"
"Well, excuse me but I'm not the one spending my summer vacation at St. James Palace!" Karen said loudly.
Cathy was turning red. "Won't you just pipe down? People her are staring at us!"
"Cathy, think. He dreamt he lost you, and he said he doesn't want to lose another woman who means so much to him, oh wait, another woman whom he loves."
Cathy leaned back and took a deep breath. She closed her eyes and thought for a while.
"Maybe you're right." She sat down straight. "Tonight. I'll tell him when he gets home. Thanks. It really helps when you have someone older to talk to."
Karen gave Cathy a hug. "Hey. That's what I'm here for! Now let's see that store across the street," as she pointed to the clothing store, across the street.
"You go ahead. I'll grab another Iced tea." Said Cathy.
"Suit yourself, but be careful crossing the street. A lot of tourists get into accidents because they're not used to the direction the people drive here."
"Well, yeah, It's confusing, but hey, I'll get used to it, right?" grinned Cathy.
Cathy went back to get more tea. When she came out, there were a few cars on the street.
"OK, here goes, look to the left, look to the right, which direction does the cars go here again?"
Suddenly, a blue car came speeding towards her. Cathy had no time to react. She got hit!

Chapter XXV

"Rrriiiinnng! Rrriiinnnggg!
"Hello," answered Harry.
"Um, good afternoon, Um,"
"How should I address this person!" thought Karen.
"Hello," repeated Harry. "Is there anyone on the other line?"
"Um, hello, um, is this St. James's Palace?"
"Yes, it is," answered Harry.
"Um, is His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales there?"
Harry snickered. "Probably one of those girls who are crazy about him," he thought.
"You know, you can simply refer to him as William, he'll like that much better."
"Oh,"
"And my brother's not here. Who is this please and how did you get the direct line?"
"Oh your Highness"
"Please call me Harry,"
"OK, Um, Harry, I'm, um, I'm Catherine Simmonds' friend, Karen Wilson."
"Oh! OK. I thought you were one of the members of my brother's fan club, if you know what I mean," kidded Harry.
"Well, yes, I do, but I called because something really bad came up. Um"
"Well"
"Cathy got into an accident. A car hit her. We're now in St. Mary's Hospital.
She lost a lot of blood and she's still unconscious."
"Oh my gosh! Thank you. I'll find my brother right away!"

Chapter XXVI

"Excuse me, can you direct me to the room where Catherine Simmonds is in?"
William asked one of the nurses at the reception.
"Down the hall, to the left, room 112," said the nurse without looking up.
Wills ran to the room and found Cathy unconscious on the hospital bed. There was a monitor at her bedside, the one with the green lines; there was a tube, which gave her oxygen and several bottles of pills on the table beside her bed.
William sat on the chair at Cathy's bedside and held her hand. William looked at her, stroked her hair and closed his eyes, as he clasped her hands near his chest.
"This can't be true," he thought. 'No, it can't be."
Tears are beginning to fill his eyes.
"Cathy, no." He said. "Luv, you can do this. You're strong, you're full of life," he said as he stroked her hair. "Cathy, please wake up. " Luv, you know, lying too much can give you a backache," he tried to make a joke, but still, Cathy didn't budge.
William kissed Cathy's hand. "Cathy, ever since you came into my life, I've changed. You turned me into a different person. You made me enjoy life again.
Cathy, I, I, Cathy, I love you. I love you with all my heart, more than you'll ever know. I love you and I'll I don't know what I'd do if I lose you. You're special to me, luv. These past few days mean a lot to me, know that it is all so sudden but I'll treasure them for the rest of my life. I love you Cathy, Don't leave me." Wills closed his eyes as tears begin to fall "I love you," he whispered.
"Wills"
William looked up. "Cathy, Cathy, oh my God. Luv, you're OK. I'm so happy." William kissed her lips.
"Wills, I, I love you, too," said Cathy. William couldn't believe his ears. "I love you Cathy, more than you'll ever know."
Cathy tried to smile, and then she closed her eyes. William kissed her eyelids.
Suddenly, a beeping sound came up, and a straight, green line was now on the monitor. Wills was shocked. "Oh my God!" He rushed out of the room and started yelling for a doctor. Immediately, the doctors and nurses ran into the room. One of them told Wills to stay outside. Wills was panicking. "Please, please, please, let her be strong."
After minutes, the doctors came out.
"Doc, what happened?" Asked Wills.
"She stopped breathing for a few minutes your Highness, but she's quite alright now. All she needs is rest. Can I ask your relation to the patient, your Highness?"
'She's my girlfriend. Thank you doctor. " Wills rushed into the room.
"Prince William has a girlfriend?" thought the doctor. "Hey Dr, Philipps, Guess what, Prince William has got a girlfriend. The one that got hit!" He yelled to one of his colleagues. The nurses started talking about it, too. Until it got out that Prince William's girlfriend is in the hospital.
Wills went back to the room, Cathy was asleep. Wills sat on the seat beside her and kissed her lips. He just sat there, holding her hand and staring adoringly at her. "She loves me, too. I can't believe it. She's the most beautiful girl in the world-inside and out." He thought. "I love you, Cathy."

Chapter XXVII

Cathy spent 2 more days at the hospital with Wills constantly by her side. Cathy asked Wills to not let her parents know about e accident, for she'll never be let out of the house! But it was too late, for it was all over the tabloids:

PRINCE WILLIAM'S FOREIGN GIRLFRIEND GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT!

But William didn't care. Karen explained everything. A blue Toyota hit Cathy. It was a hit and run accident. Cathy promised to be more careful now. Because of the time they spent together, William and Catherine became a stronger couple.
The couple decided to go on a picnic
"Finally! I'm out of the hospital." Said Cathy.
Wills smiled. 'I'm glad you're alright"
"Thanks to you," said Cathy, as she kissed Wills on the lips.
William opened the picnic blanket and placed it under a huge oak tree. Cathy snuggled next to him.
"Cathy, thank you," said wills as he stroked her hair.
"Thank you for what? I should be the one who's thanking you."
"No, thank YOU. You don't know how much you've changed my life. When my mum passed away, I never thought I'd enjoy life again, but you changed all that.
Thank you for loving me."
Cathy started to cry.
"Luv, what's wrong?" Did I say something? What?
"Wills, you don't know how happy I am. I mean, there are a lot of girls who are prettier, thinner, smarter, better than I am. Why did you choose me? I'm just a measly commoner."
"You're special."
"I love you, Wills."
"I love you more."
They ate their lunches and spent the rest of the afternoon, 'till sunset at the park.

Chapter XXVIII

Two days from now, it will be William's 17th birthday. Cathy wanted it to be memorable, so she asked harry and Karen for help.
"Got any ideas?" asked Karen.
"Nada, that's why I'm asking for your help," she sat on the couch. "Any ideas?"
Harry thought, "Knowing my brother, he just wants it to be simple."
"Simple?" HmmmHow about a surprise party?"
"Nah! We did that before. He figured it out."
"Great. Now, were back to the old drawing board."
"No, wait," said Harry. "What if we make it hard for him?" harry has this grin on his face that spelled out mischief.
"Like what?" Cathy's eyes widened.
"Like this" Harry explained his plan and Cathy and Karen pitched in some of their ideas as well. They planned to make this the most unforgettable birthday William's ever had. They called William's friends and family and told them about the party.

Chapter XXIX

Later in the evening
"Well, how was your day?" asked Wills.
Cathy gave him a quick smack. "It was OK, Karen and I did some girl stuff."
"Like?"
"Shopping, what else?" smiled Cathy. "So, Mr. Birthday boy, 2 more days and you'll be 17!"
"Yeah," said Wills as he added a sad expression on his face.
"Honey, what's wrong?"
"I just don't want to get older. My duties won't start 'till I'm 18, which will be just a year away. I just don't want that to happened soon."
"Wills, don't worry. You're still young. Don't waste the year thinking that your duties are coming closer everyday. Just enjoy your life at the moment."
Wills kissed Cathy. "Thank you. I love you, do you know that?"
"Yes, but I wouldn't mind hearing it again." Wills smiled. "I love you."
"I love you, too."
They kissed and suddenly, Cathy pulled away.
"Wills, do you mind if I call my mom in the States? I miss her and I want to know if the news about the accident reached the States."
"Go right ahead. I'll just grab something to munch on from the fridge."
William went to the kitchen and grabbed a chocolate bar from the refrigerator.
When he got back, Cathy seemed to be arguing over the phone. He stopped and listened.
"No mom. I'm enjoying London. I can't go back yet!"
Wills couldn't believe what he heard.
"Mom, I'm sorry about the accident, it wasn't my fault. Well, thank you for understanding. What?!? Can't you just get somebody to take my place? What do you mean you have a plane ticket for me? The 20th? Mom, I can't go! William's birthday is on the 21st Yes, mom. Those news are true. He is my boyfriend, but can you please keep it to yourself? Please mom, I really can't. ..That's such a shallow reason!! Fine. I understand. Yes mom. 9:00 p.m. US time. Bye. Cathy put the phone down sadly.
"Luv,"
"Wills, oh honey, I don't know how to break this to you but"
"You're going back to America, "Said Wills "I'm sorry, I overheard."
"Oh, Wills," Cathy hugged Wills. "It's just that my cousin's getting married and she wants me to be maid of honor, her fianci made this sudden decision. I know that this is all so sudden but"
'No, Cathy. Family first." Wills hugged Cathy tightly. "I'll miss you, don't forget, I'll love you forever."
"I'll miss you, too. I love you so much. I'll try to come back."
Wills held Cathy tighter and tears began to fall from his eyes.

Chapter XXX

Wills and Harry took Cathy to the airport.
"So I guess, this is goodbye." Wills kissed Cathy, and he tried to make it extra long this time.
"I love you Wills," said Cathy as she hugged Wills tightly.
"I love you, more"
"I'll try to come back, I promise."
"I'll send the jet over California if I have to," said Wills.
"I'll miss you."
"What about me?" asked Harry? Cathy gave Harry a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Thanks for everything, Harry."
"Cathy, you're like a sister I never had." Cathy looked at Wills. "Wills, please give me a smile. This is not easy for me."
"I'll try, but it just hurts so much." Cathy kissed Wills on the lips. "I love you, remember that. Take care of Wills for me, Harry. Bye Wills, "As Cathy got inside the airport.
"C'mon man, let's go," ushered Harry.
"I miss her already," said Wills, looking back.
"Don't worry. She'll be back. I promise you."
"I hope so," said Wills as the car drove away.
Back at the airport
"Finally." Said Cathy, " I've been waiting for 15 minutes."
"Sorry. I just wanted to make sure that Wills and harry are away. Far way." Laughed Karen.
They got into the car and drove around town for a while.
"What's wrong? You seem sad,' asked Karen.
"Karen, you should've seen Wills. He was so sad, I feel like this is too much for him to handle.
Karen parked the car.
"Cathy, don't worry. I mean, you'll be back, right?"
"I know, but Karen when I told him last night, he cried.
"He what?!"
"He cried, Karen. This act hurts. I mean, what if I really leave for the States?
"Don't think about it for now. See at least you know that William really loves you. Don't worry. It will all disappear on the 21st.
'I hope so," said Cathy.

Chapter XXXI

"William, do you have a problem? You've barely touched your dinner," asked Prince Charles.
Wills looked down on his venison. It is his favorite food, but he's just not in the mood to eat.
"I'm just not hungry, papa."
"Wills, you've barely eaten anything the whole day," said Harry. "I'm getting worried, Wills. Are you trying to kill yourself or something?"
"William, does this have something to do with Catherine's sudden departure to the US?"
William nodded. "Yes, papa. I miss her already."
"William," said Prince Charles, "You can't not eat forever. Cathy will be back, unlike your mum."
Wills grew even sadder.
"All I'm saying is that Cathy loves you. She will be back. And either way, you can always go there."
"Yes, papa. I understand."
Harry looked down and smiled "This is going to be good."

Chapter XXXII

William woke up at about 8:00 the next day.
'"Happy Birthday to me, " he told himself. "Who's happy? #1. The press are in a frenzy putting me in the cover of every magazine imaginable, with the title, the prince turns 17, #2. I'm just a year away from those duties, #3. No mum. #4. No Cathy." He looked in the mirror. "I hate my life," he told himself.
He got dressed and headed down for breakfast.
"William, happy birthday!" yelled Harry as Wills entered the dining room.
"Thanks," mumbled Wills.
"Happy birthday, son. Why, you should be chuffed." Exclaimed Prince Charles.
"I know, papa. But I am just not in the mood to celebrate."
"Cathy?" asked Harry.
"Yes, among others," as he sat down. He stared down at his plate and began to laugh. The pancakes had whipped cream on it that said "happy 17th birtday.Mum's looking down, the press needs money and Cathy loves you! "
"Hah! Who did this?"
"I did! Something to cheer you up," said harry proudly.
"Well, William, don't tell me you're just going to stare at the pancakes."
Wills smiled. He took a bite and Harry sighed. "Phew! Finally, you ate something!" William laughed.
"Glad to see you're in the mood again, son," said Prince Charles.
"I'm quite alright now, papa. Anyway, what time will the people start coming in?"
"At about 6:00, so you better get yourself ready by then."

Chapter XXXIII

At about 6:00 p.m., William's family and friends began arriving. Everyone was in on the secret, except Wills.
"C'mon, William, cheer up," said Zara, William's cousin.
"Yes man. It's your party, enjoy yourself, I know I am," said Peter, as he took a sip of coke and dance with the beat of the blaring music.
"Thank you, I'll try." Smiled Wills. Everyone was dancing and having fun. Others are chatting while some are taking over the buffet table. Everyone was having fun, except for William. No matter how he tried, he can't get Cathy out of his head. He just sat at one corner, sulking.
"I wonder if Cathy's home, "he thought as he stared out the window. " I bet she looks real beautiful, " as he imagined Cathy wearing a gown, with flowers on her hair
"William, William!" yelled Harry from the other side of the room.
"Yes?"
"Cathy's on the line," as Harry pointed to the phone.
Everyone stopped dancing and talking and eating as Wills dashed to the phone.
"Cathy?"
"Wills? Oh William, Happy Birthday!'
"Oh Cathy, I miss you so much!"
"I'm so glad to hear your voice," said Cathy. "I love you so much!"
" I love you. Oh I wish you could be here."
"Really? You do?"
"Of course I do. My birthday wouldn't be complete without the girl of my life."
"Wills, I have a surprise for you."
"You do?"
"Yes, just look at the main door." William placed the phone down on the table.
"What did Cathy say, Wills?" "She told me to look at the main door," William said puzzingly.
"Open the door!" Yelled Harry.
The door was opened and a big blue box with a red ribbon came out. It was almost as big as a VW beetle! There was a big tag attached that said: TO WILLS. People parted as they let the big present go through the middle of the room.
William grabbed the phone.
"What's this Cathy?"
"My birthday present. C'mon, open it!"
Wills walked towards the big box. "I wonder what's in here," he thought.
He removed the ribbon and took the lid out. Then suddenly, something jumped from the inside.
"Happy Birthday, Wills!'' yelled Cathy as she jumped from the box.
"Happy Birthday, William!" Yelled everyone. Wills lifted Cathy and held her as tight as he could. He kissed her.
"I can't believe you did that," laughed William.
"Neither can I!" giggled Cathy
"I love you!"
"I love you more!"
"So, Wills, happy now?" asked Harry.
"Yes, very, but," he looked at Cathy. "What about the wedding? How did you get here so quick?"
"Um, Wills, please don't get madIt was, well, an act," said Harry.
"Wills, we wanted to give you a birthday you'd never forget. I never went home, I wasn't even talking to anyone on the phone! I'm sorry if I led you on, " said Cathy.
"It was all Harry's idea!" Pointed Karen.
"Hahahaha," laughed Wills. "I should've guessed. Thank you. I'll never forget this birthday. EVER! Well, what are you all staring at? Let's party!!!!!!

Chapter XXXIV

Wills yawned and stretched his arms. "Ah, that feels good," he said as he slowly opened his eyes. He turned to the other side of the bed and found Cathy, still fast asleep.
"She's so beautiful," he thought, as he gazed at her. "I'll never forget the day we met," as he closed his eyes and remembered what happened that summer day
"So, um, where do you want to go?" he asked
"Well, William, this is your school," answered Cathy.
"Would you like to see the fields?" he said. 'Great line Windsor. What would she think? You have this big school and you want to show her the fields? What are you thinking you dumb bloke!'
"Soccer fields?"
"Soccer to you Americans, football to us Brits," he grinned.
"Ah, I see. Well, Wills, I'm not really American. Well, only technically."
"Then what are you?" 'Not another stupid line', he thought. 'This girl's going to be turned off!'
"Umm, I'm Filipino. I am a Filipino that became an American citizen."
'What's a Filipino?' he asked himself. "Really?" he said acting as if she knew what she was talking about.
"Yep. I was born in the Philippines, migrated to the States."
'Philippines, there yah go! Why didn't I think of that?' he asked himself.
"I see, well, Aunt Anne went to the Philippines, and I think my father did, too."
"Really?"
"I think they didSo, do you want to see the fields?" ' Ahhh! Can't you think of anything else to show her?'
''I'd love to! You know, I've always wanted to learn how to play soccer, but my mom didn't want me to. She said that I'll just scratch my knees and stuff," she smiled. "I don't know where the heck she got that idea."
"Oh, thank God,' William looked up.
"Is there something wrong William?"
"Oh no. Nothing, Why?"
"Well, I don't know, I mean, I never met a royal before but I feel like you're quite aloof with me, did I do something or say something wrong? I mean, whatever it is, I'm sorry, I don't want you to cut my head off or something..."
"No, No, Cathy. I'm sorry. You didn't do anything wrong. I promise."
"Whew! And I though you were thinking of chopping my head off!" she grinned
'I was thinking of something to say that would impress you," he thought as he stared at her eyes.
"Umm, Wills, is there something on my face? I mean, I'm sorry but you've been staring," asked Cathy.
"Where did you get those eyes?" asked Wills, then Cathy's eyes grew bigger.
"What did you say?"
'Another stupid line. This bird is going to be totally turned off, Windsor. Think before you say something!'
"Umm, what I mean is, your eyes are beautiful. I've never seen a shade of brown like that before. And it sparkles quite differently; your lashes are very long, too. Has anyone ever told you that you have great eyebrows?" he said
'What are saying, Windsor,' he said to himself.
"Why, thank you, Wills. I mean, yes, people always notice my eyebrows, and eyes, well anything that has got to do with my eyes," she said. Thank you for noticing." She smiled, showing her perfect set of teeth.
"How about your teeth? Are they real?" he asked
'Argh! Windsor, this is the most stupid thing you ever said the whole day.'
"William, what are you trying to say?" asked Cathy.
"I mean, You got a nice set of teeth. Well, I mean, I had to wear braces, did you?"
"Nope. Born with this," she smiled proudly William grinned as he opened his eyes. "I can't believe how stupid I have acted," as he remembered their first encounter. That day changed my life completely," he said as he kissed Cathy's cheeks.
Knock, knock, knock! William stood up, not wanting to wake Cathy, and opened the door.
"Good morning, Your Highness," said Maxwell.
"Good morning, Maxwell, is there something you need?" he asked his valet.
"So, sorry, Your highness, but your father, the Prince of Wales wishes to speak to you. He is in his office."
"Thank you Maxwell, I'll be right down." Said Wills as he closed the door.
"Does he always have to say that?" asked Cathy, with her eyes closed
"Say what, luv?"
"You know the 'Your father, the Prince of Wales' it's not like you don't know that!" she added.
William laughed and gave her a kiss. "Sorry for waking you up, luv. But as you have already heard, my father needs to speak to me. I'll be right up."
"Oh, take your time. I'll just be lying here. I'm pretty tired from last night," as she referred to the party.
"Luv, promise to never do that to me again." As he recalled the surprise.
"Go to your father," Cathy said, changing the subject.
"Promise?"
"Put on your robe and got your papa."
"C'mon, luv. Please?" Cathy just smiled. "I think your father's going to be pretty mad if you don't go down right now."
Wills just laughed. "You are too much."
"I know." She grinned as she put a pillow over her head. Wills shook his head, put on a robe and headed to his father's office.

Chapter XXXV

Knock, knock, knock!
"Come in William," said the prince.
"Good Morning, papa. Is there something wrong? This is quite suprising."
"Pack up your bags, I already told Harry and he's already taking care of his."
"Pardon me, papa?"
"Pack up your suitcase, William. We're heading for Balmoral. Your grandmother, The Queen, has changed the date of the annual ball and decided to move it a month earlier. So we are going there right now, so that we can make the necessary arrangements.''
"But papa, what about Cathy?" I can't leave her here." The prince smiled. "I know, William. That's why I prepared the other room for her there. Even though I happened to know that she's not sleeping in the room provided for her here" William just turned beet red.
"Well, wherever she's sleeping, she's coming with us. I think it's a perfect opportunity for her to meet your Grandmother, the Queen, and for the press to get all the things straight."
"Papa, you mean, we're going public?"
"With Cathy's consent, of course. I mean it would be so much easier on both your parts. You don't have to go to the secluded places all the time, if you know what I mean.''
"I understand, papa, I'll tell Cathy. What time are we leaving?''
"In about 3 hours"
"I'll go ahead, papa."
"I'll see you later, son."

Chapter XXXVI

Wills sat on the edge of the bed and tickled Cathy's nose.
"Hmm. what's that for?"
"Just want to wake you up. Sorry, luv nut something came up."
Cathy sat down and stretched her arms. "Does it concern me?"
"Quite."
"I see," she added.
"Well, luv, pack your bags, we're going to Balmoral"
"Balmoral? Scotland? Why?"
"Well, my grandmother, the Queen, moved her party a month earlier and we have to be there in order to arrange the necessary, well, arrangements," He smiled.
"What are you looking at?" he asked.
"You're one of them," she giggled.
"What are you talking about?" he asked puzzingly.
"You know the 'your father, the Prince of Wales' type of people,"
"Oh, I see. Sorry, luv but I guess I grew up in this kind of environment," he said.
"I know. I'm sorry. Just making a joke out of things, you know me."
"Well, get ready because we'll be leaving in 3 hours." Cathy got out of the bed. "Good thing I haven't unpacked yet. I'll be in the other room if you need me."
"I'll see you later, luv," he said.
"Not after I take a bath,' she yelled from the other room. William just smiled. "That girl makes me laugh all the time," he said as he headed to his closet.

Chapter XXXVII
"Um, where's your dad?" Cathy asked Wills and Harry as the helicopter began to take off.
Harry stared out the window, "See that other chopper, Cathy?" Cathy nodded.
"Well, he's there," added Harry.
"No two heirs on the same plane, car or chopper for that matter," said Wills.
"Oh. I think I heard that from somewhere, oh well, so how long is this, um, flight going to take?" she asked.
"About two hours or so," answered Wills.
"Can't wait." Cathy leaned back and smiled. She has always wondered how Balmoral would be like. She imagined a pond near the forest, rocky mountainsides; plush, green gardens
"I can't wait to introduce you to the Queen, Cathy," said Wills.
'Uh-oh' thought Cathy. "Umm, the Queen?"
"Why yes, of course. She's going to love you, luv." Cathy suddenly had hard time breathing. She turned pale.
"Cathy, are you OK?" asked Harry. "Wills, she'd turning pale!"
"Luv, are you alright?"
Cathy just nodded. 'The Queen,' she thought. 'Oh my gosh, what am I going to say to her? She might banish me out of England forever. Oh what am I going to do?'
"Luv, are you sure that you're alright?"
"I'm just nervous," she answered.
''Ah, I think I know why," added Harry. "You're nervous about meeting the queen aren't you?"
Cathy stared at Harry, "How did you know that?"
"Are you?" asked Wills.
"How can't I not be nervous? I mean, you even call her 'the Queen', What if I say something wrong? She might banish me out of England forever.''
"Oh, luv," William gave her a hug. "Everything's going to be alright. Just be you. My father has already told the Queen about you, so there's no need to worry. And he told the Queen a lot of good things about you. Truth of the matter is, she can't wait to meet you."
Cathy's eyes widened, "Huh?" Wills just nodded. "Don't worry. Everything will be alright, I'll be there with you,"
"Promise?"
"I promise," said Wills and gave her a kiss. A long one, too.
Harry started to hum, "hummm, hmmmm, hmmmm,"
The couple pulled away and started to laugh.
"What are you doing, Harry?"
"Well, I can't stand looking at you two. A little more longer and you'll see ants around you."
The trio laughed and enjoyed each others company to Balmoral.

Chapter XXXVIII

At Balmoral

"This will be your room ma'am," said one of the valets as he ushered Cathy into one of the rooms.
Cathy got in and was in awe. A great big canopy bed, pink carpets, floral wallpaper 'Wow,' she thought.
"This room is also adjacent to that of His Royal Highness, Prince William, as requested by the Prince of Wales." The valet added.
"Thank you, Jeeves. I'll be able to settle in, thank you," She said
"You're welcome, Miss, I will just be outside whenever you need something to be done, Miss,"
"Thank you, Jeeves, but I'm quite alright at the moment."
"Shall I go now, Miss?"
"Please go ahead. Thank you." The valet silently left the room and Cathy let out a sigh. "Whew! I am never going to get used to this."
She started unpacking her suitcase when suddenly; someone knocked on the connecting door. Cathy opened it and Wills was standing in front of her with a bouquet of pink roses.
''Something for the beautiful Miss,"
"Thank you, Wills," as she kissed him on the lips.
"So, did you have something to do with this?"
"With what?"
"The connecting rooms," she said as she placed the bouquet in a vase on the desk.
Wills entered the room and sat on the bed. "Nope. Believe it or not, this is all papa's idea."
Cathy sat beside him. "Well, whoever's idea it is, I'm glad." Wills kissed her and she kissed back, they ended up lying on the bedthey were snogging, making out, suddenly, all you could here were tiny gasps of breaths, suddenly, after a few minutes, Cathy pulled away.
"What's wrong, luv?"
"I,'' Cathy can't think of anything else to say, yes, she was breathless, and yes, she enjoyed every second of that make out session, but she just had to stop.
"Luv, are you ok?"
"Will, I just want to say that, I don't want to go further than that,"
William sat down. "C'mon, luv, tell me whatever it is you want to say."
"Wills, I don't know, I suddenly felt uncomfortable. I just want to say that, well, let's not get further than that, I mean I know, but, you know how teenage hormones work, I don't want to go all the way, not until I'm married, I just want to clear this up with you,"
William smiled. "Thank you for clearing that up, luv. And I promise, not further than that. I love you too much."
Cathy gave Wills a quick kiss.
"That was for being a great guy.''
Cathy gave him another smack.
"And this one if for?" Wills asked
"For understanding me," she smiled.
"Is there anything else?" Asked Wills Cathy smiled. "Let's just save it for some other time, OK?"
"Can't wait." He grinned. Cathy stood up and faced Wills. "Honey, I'm sorry to throw you out like this but I need to unpack. Can you go back later, please?"
"No problem, luv,' William stood up and gave her a hug. "Just be ready by 8, we'll have dinner with the Queen by then"
Cathy let out a breath, "Are you sure she's not going to banish me?"
"I promise,''
"OK, but can you go now, because I have to unpack some private stuff."
"Sure luv," Wills walked back to his room. "I love you," he said before closing the door
"I love you more,'' Cathy yelled out.
"Not as much as I love you!" yelled William.
'If you say so!" yelled Cathy as she started to laugh, and unpack the rest of her baggage.

Chapter XXXIX
William returned to his room and sat on the edge of his bed and buried his face in his hands.
'Windsor, why did you think you can get away with it? You didn't even realize how she'd feel.'
He remembered Cathy's words, 'Not 'til I'm married, Wills; I don't want us to get carried away; I know how teenage hormones work'
''Windsor, why did you think you could "do" it? You're not ready, she's not ready'
"Damn hormones," he said. Wills stood up and looked in the mirror.
"Why?" he asked himself. He recalled the conversation he had with his mates during the party
"So, dreamboat, have you and Catherine, you know," said Nicholas Richards with a smirk on his face.
Wills looked at him, "know what?" He asked a he took a sip from the can of coke.
"Don't put the innocent act, William!" Added Christopher Blanchette. "Have you and Cathy done it yet?"
Wills' eyes widened and let out a chuckle, "What do you think?" The two just looked at each other and Chris spoke up.
"I know what you're doing, " he said, "You're taking it slow aren't you?"
"No,"
"Then why haven't you 'done' it yet?"
"Yes, William. I mean, you almost did it with Franchesca." Wills' mood changed all of a sudden, "Don't remind me, okay," he said. Nick sighed, "C'mon dreamboat,"
Wills felt bad, really bad. 'Great mates,' he thought, "Franchesca Holstein-Jones, the hottest bird at St. George's Ascot," added Chris.
Wills looked away, he remembered how Chesca, led him up to her room during one of her parties, locked it up and started seducing him, undressingit got to a point that he did, too. Suddenly, his bodyguards began knocking on the door, the session didn't go anywhere, they got dressed and William told her that she'll see her again and left. On his way out, he grabbed a coke from the fridge and overhears some girls from St. George's.
"I hope Chesca did it," said the girl.
"I know, not only will she be the first girl to sleep with Prince William, she'll also be the most popular girl in school."
"Great bet she made with Clara," said the other girl. Wills' can hardly believe his ears. 'She was using me,' he told himself. He left the party and never spoke, saw or talked about Franchesca again.
'I trusted her, I almost loved her, almost
"Hey dreamboat! Wake up!'
"Huh?" stuttered William,
"Welcome back to earth," grinned Nick.
"Did you take a little trip down memory lane?"
"Listen, man, this is a party. MY party. MY birthday. I should be happy, so don't make me miserable.'
"C'mon, Willy, Cathy sleeps in a room connected to yours,"
"Or so you think," said Harry as he suddenly passed by.
"Hey there, Harry," said Nick as he gave Harry a five.
"What did you mean by that?" asked Chris.
"They sleep together, in one room, in one bed," William gave him a dirty look.
"We'll, I'll see you guys later because I have to entertain the rest of the guest, something that one of us should be doing," he looked at William and walked away.
The two chuckled.
"So, dreamboat, you two sleep in one room,"
"One bed," corrected Nick,
"And you haven't done it yet?" Wills looked sternly at both of them; "I love Cathy, Okay,"
"What better reason?" said Nick.
"Look, I'm having a party at the moment. I have to entertain the guests, excuse me, " he said as he walked away. He could hear them laughing and whispering
William sat down on the couch and closed his eyes. 'Pressure. From everyone, from anyone, even from my mates,'
"I love Cathy, and I respect her, no matter what people say, I love her,"
Knock, Knock, Knock
"Come in, " he said, his eyes still closed.
"You're Highness, dinner will be ready in an hour," said the valet.
Thank you, I'll be ready by then," The valet bowed and closed the door. William starred at the door for a while, after a few minutes, he got up and got ready.

Chapter XL

Cathy got the news from one of the valets.
"Oh gosh, one more hour to go" she said. She looked at the bunch of clothes she dumped on her bed.
"Pink satin, long skirt, short skirt, rayon blouse what the heck am I going to wear? I'm gong to have dinner with The Queen," she exclaimed. In her bathrobe, she sat down and starred at the bed. Suddenly, images of her and William came up. How they lied there, making outshe gave out a sigh.
'I don't know if I did the right thing,' she told herself. 'I love Wills.' She felt confused. 'No, I made the right decision, save myself for marriage, whoever it is I'm going to marry.' Her eyes caught the clock.
"On no, I have only about 30 minutes left!" She grabbed a dress from the pile ran to the bathroom to change, put on her make-up and get the curlers out of her hair.

Chapter XLI
Knock, Knock, Knock
"Oh, there's the call, one last look." She looked at the mirror. Dress, check.
Make-up, check. Hair, Check. Perfume, check. Breath" she put her palm in front of her and breath out, "Check."
'Here we go,' she thought. "Come in,"
"Luv, are you ready," said wills as he came in the room.
"Yes, honey," as she spun around.
"The Quee" William looked at Cathy, 'Oh God she's gorgeous," he thought. Cathy looked worried, "How do I look? Is this appropriate enough?" Cathy wore a long, floral skirt, a cardigan and platform sandals. She had her hair down and had a single necklace on,"
'You looked gorgeous," he said. Cathy smiled, "Well you don't look so bad yourself," William was wearing a long sleeved plaid polo shirt and had beige khaki pants on. Wills hair was brushed neatly and he never, ever forgets to put on his cologne.
"Are you ready to meet the Queen?"
"Ready." William took her hand and they walked together towards the dining room, where the rest of William's family is already seated.
Wills could feel Cathy shiver, he held her hand tight and it made her feel that everything's going to be all right. William bought Cathy towards the Queen.
"Your Majesty, This is my girlfriend, Catherine Eunice Simmonds,"
"It is my distinct pleasure to meet you, Your Majesty,' said Cathy as she curtsied.
"Well, well, well, you are right Charles, she is quite charming," said The Queen.
Cathy looked up.
"Stand straight dear, and let me have a look at you," Cathy stood up straight.
The Queen smiled, "You have a very charming young lady here William. She has a distinctively unique beauty,"
William smiled and Cathy blushed. One of the valets directed Cathy to sit by The Queen. William sat beside her.
Everyone at the table seemed to be intrigued with Cathy.
"Tell me dear, how are you enjoying your visit here so far?" Cathy's eyes sparkled, "Oh Your Majesty, this is a dream come true. I've always wanted to be in England, it is such a great place." Cathy replied. The Queen seemed contented with her response and gave her a smile.
'Well, William, you should take care of this young lady here, she is quite spectacular,"
"Yes, ma'am," said Wills as he smiled at Cathy. Cathy started to feel at tease and everyone finished up the rest of their dinners.

Chapter XLII

Cathy looked at the clock beside the bed. 12:36 a.m. She counting sheep, singing to herself, but she just can’t sleep. She turned to the other side of the bed and starred at the empty space.
‘Wills,’ she thought. She closed her eyes again. She tousled, and tumbled, but she really can’t sleep. She opened the bedside lamp and sat down. She looked at the door connecting her room to William’s.
“Am I brave enough to do this?” She asked herself. But she didn’t wait any longer. She grabbed one of the pillows, turned off the lamp and opened the connecting door. To her surprise, William was sitting on the couch, looking outside, staring at the stars.
“Um, Wills,” William turned around, “Cathy,” he stood up and walked over to her and gave her a hug.
“I can’t sleep,” they said in unison, and then laughed.
“I, I missed you, “ she said.
“So did I,’
“Honey, can I sleep here?”
William smiled, “Please do,”
They walked over to the bed.
“Which side?” Asked Cathy
“That line sounds familiar,” said Wills Cathy grinned as she placed her pillow on the right side of the bed and laid down. William lied on the other side. They pulled up the covers and Wills turned of the lights.
There was a complete, eerie, silence…
“Luv,”
“Yes, Honey?”
“I’m sorry.”
Cathy shifted and faced Wills, “Sorry for what?”
“For the incident, in your room. When we, you know, almost…”
“Oh, “ said Cathy. “I guess we did get carried away, didn’t we?”
“Well, I want to tell you that I respect whatever it is you said,”
Cathy let out a sigh of relief and kissed Wills, William kissed back.
‘’Good night honey, I love you.”
“I love you more love, Oh before I forget, My father and I are going shooting tomorrow, I mean later, at 5:00 am”
“You mean you’re going to shoot poor, harmless, innocent creatures?”
Wills just kissed her, “You’re just like my mum,”
“Well, let me tell you this, Wills, of all the sports that you, this is the one that I don’t like the most.”
“I understand,”
“I’m not trying to stop you, it’s just that I feel sorry for those tiny critters,”
“Thank you for understanding,”
“You’re welcome. Do you want me to wake you up?” Wills smiled, “It’s up to you,’’ Wills put his arm around Cathy and soon, the two feel asleep.

Chapter XLLIII

Cathy rubbed her eyes and stretched her arms, “Yawn,” she let out. She glanced at he bedside clock; her blurry eyes could read 7:16 a.m.
“I know I’m supposed to remember something,” she thought. “Oh, I know, I have to wake wills up and…” Wills was not there. Her eyes caught a sight of a notepaper addressed to her. Cathy sat down and giggled. “Another one of his notes, eh?”

To my beloved Cathy,

Good morning, luv. I’m sorry to run off like this but as you know, I have to go shooting with my father. And Somehow, I managed to get up on time! (Seriously, Jeeves woke me up!)
Anyway, I’ll see you later in the day. I love you, and don’t you ever forget that!

Wills
P. S.
I told you the Queen would love you!
She closed the note and placed it close to her heart.
“I love you, too,” she said. Then she began wondering what she would do. “Breakfast? Nah, I’m not hungry,”
She just starred at the door for a while. After a few minutes, she stood up and headed to her room, bringing the note and the pillow with her. She placed the note in her purse, the pillow back on the bed. She grabbed a towel and headed to the bathroom to take a long, relaxing bath.

Later on… Wearing Jeans, a turtleneck and a windbreaker, Cathy went down the castle. It seemed everyone was in frenzy.
“Good morning, Cathy!”
Cathy turned around. “Zara, It’s so nice to see someone who’s not busy!”

“You’re not the only one. The ball is tomorrow, it will be worst than this, believe me. So what are you planning to do the rest of the day?”
“Me? Um, I don’t know yet? I mean, I don’t want to wait for William,”
“Would you like to go riding? I’m bored.”
“Horseback? I’d love to!”’
“So you like horses, eh?”
“I love horses!”
“Well, that’s another goodie point for you,” Cathy looked at Zara puzzingly, “Pardon?”
“If you told the Queen that you love horses, she would’ve asked William to ask you to marry him,”
Cathy just giggled.
“You know, it’s almost lunchtime, do you like to bring the boys brunch?
I mean we can have a picnic there,”
“Cool,” said Cathy.
‘Well, let’s do the food first, then change for the horse, is that OK with you?
“Oh yes, Zara, thank you for the trouble,”
“Shesh! No problem. Welcome to the family,” she smiled. Cathy blushed as Zara led her to the kitchen.

Chapter XLIV

“Bang!”
“Nice shot, Harry,” said Prince Charles.
“Thank you, papa,” Harry grinned proudly.
“How about that, William, Harry shot more than you did,” said Prince Philip.
“It’s just one of these days, I can do better.” He defended himself.
“Let me guess, Cathy told you that she doesn’t like shooting.” Asked Peter William smiled, “You know me too well, don’t you?”
“Ah, love.” Said Harry.
Everyone just laughed.
“You know what boys, I’m quite hungry,” said Prince Charles.
“You don’t have to worry about food, uncle,” said Zara, as she and Cathy came riding by.
“Food!” Harry ran up to them when he saw the picnic basket, “Praise you!”
Everyone started cracking up.
William laughed and helped Cathy get off her horse. He gave Cathy a kiss on the cheek. “Did you see my note, luv?”
“Yes, I did. So, how many helpless creatures did you kill today?” Wills just gave her a puppy dogface. Cathy gave him a kiss.
“Ehem,” said Peter, as the couple grinned and pulled away. Cathy spread out the blanket as Zara prepared the food. Soon, everyone was eating.
“This sandwich is delicious, who made this?” asked Prince Charles
“Cathy did.” Said Zara.
‘That’s my world famous chicken-relish sandwich,” Cathy grinned proudly.”
“William, if you break up with Cathy, you lose the crown, “ said Prince Philip.
Everyone laughed, and Cathy was turning red. After brunch, William stood up and took Cathy with him to his favorite spot, which is quite a few distance away from the castle. It was near the fall and you can hear the water rushing down. The couple sat on the grassy surface. Cathy was captivated by the view, The birds are chirping, the fresh air, the sound of flowing water, green grass… William lied down on Cathy’s lap. Cathy brushed his hair out of his face and looked at those hazel eyes, she could feel his eyes on her, too. William smiled and pulled Cathy’s head towards him and gave her a kiss. The couple stayed in the area for a long…time.

Chapter XLV

It was the night of the ball. From her room, Cathy could hear the orchestra playing and the people starting to come in. She took one last look in the mirror. “I hope this is formal enough,” she said.
Knock, knock, knock!
Cathy began to feel her hands cold. “OK, here we go,” she said as she gave a loud sigh. “Come in”
“Luv, everyone’s waiting downstairs, they’re wai…” Wills eyes’ grew wide and slightly opened his mouth.
“Honey, a little bit more space so that flies could get in,” kidded Cathy.
‘Oh God, Is this possible? She has never been more gorgeous,’ he said. Cathy was wearing a silk, lavender dress, it clinged to her every curve.
The straps are made from plastic, which makes it appear that she’s wearing a tube dress. She put her hair up and left curly fringes to hang at the sides. She smelled good.
‘Really good,’ though William as he smiled.
“How do I look?”
“Well, from the time it took you to get ready, it was worth the wait.
You never cease to amaze me. You look gorgeous.”
“So do you,” she added.
‘Oh, yeah, I never seen a guy look this good. Move over Leo!’ she said to herself.
William was wearing a tux and had a pink rose in his breast pocket. His hair was combed neatly and there was this lingering scent of his. Wills put his elbows up, “Shall we?”
Cathy felt like she was in the movies, “We shall,”
William led her down the grand stairs and unto the ballroom. All the guests were dressed in gowns and tuxedos, It was so elegant, so regal, and something that Cathy thought she’d only see in the movies. The music was spectacular. The orchestra was playing a waltz symphony. William asked her to dance and the couple headed to the dance floor. Everyone started staring at hem. Some were intrigued with this girl William is dancing with, some just adore them. Later on, Cathy and Wills didn’t realize that they were the only ones in the dance floor. When the music ended, everyone applauded. The couple just stared at each other and began to giggle. Then they both curtsied and headed off to the table where William’s family was seated.

Everyone was applauding when the couple approached the table.
“Catherine, you are quite a mover.” Said Peter. Cathy smiled proudly, “Why thank you, I had a good leader,” she said as she looked at Wills.
William smiled, “Ehem,” he said. Harry looked at William, “No Cathy, you’re really a great dancer, William has nothing to do with it.”
Cathy just smiled as the rest of his family laughed. The meals were soon served and everyone carried on the conversation. Cathy noticed that they love embarrassing Wills.
‘Well, he does turn into that cute shade of red,’ she said to herself.
Cathy can hardly believe how nice everyone’s been treating her. She was introduced to the other royals, other guests, and the invited press members can’t seem to stop flashing their cameras on her. Some are even calling her name.
‘So this is what they hate so much, I think I know why now,” as she smiled for one of the cameras.
Prince Charles invited Cathy to dance. The orchestra began playing a swing tune.
‘He is quite a good dancer, even for his age, “ thought Cathy. To her surprise, Prince Charles began asking her questions.
“Catherine, do you really love William?”
“Yes Your Highness, I do, very much.”
“Well, If ever William plans to marry, I want him to marry you.” DIP!
Cathy felt dizzy. ‘Because of the dip or of what he said?’ she thought.
“Father, mind if I cut in?” asked Harry. Prince Charles gave way for Harry the two started dancing. Harry was about a few inches taller than she is.
“Cathy, have you ever thought of marrying William?”
Cathy starred at Harry. “Marriage? Harry, I’m only 15.”
‘Well, if ever William wants to get married, I want him to marry you.”
Cathy giggled. “Did you and your father plan this?”
“Plan what?”
“This interrogation thing,”
Harry shook his head. “Nope. I wish we didn’t though. We could’ve asked you really hard questions, like how many children would you and Wills like to have?”
Cathy just smiled.
“I’m serious. William has never had a girlfriend who is as nice, caring, understanding, talented, great sandwich maker, what else? Oh yeah and a great sense of humor like you do.”
Cathy’s eyes widened. ‘”William had other girlfriends?” “Girlfriends, dates…all I know is that the last one was…what’s her name… Umm, Franchesca Holstein-Jones. That was about a month ago.” DIP!
Cathy felt dizzy again, but now she knew it wasn’t because of the dip.
‘I guess there are some things William hasn’t told me yet,’ she thought.
“Mind if I cut in?” It was William.
Harry gave way for Wills. Cathy just smiled as Wills placed his hands around her waist, then the orchestra played something, familiar, sounded like dreaming of you, or so Cathy thought. Their eyes were on each other

“So, what has my family been telling you?”
Cathy smiled, “Oh you know, they just asked me if I thought about marrying you,”
“Have you?”
“I told Harry I’m too young to think about those stuff,”
“Well you should, I mean, you never know,” grinned Wills. Cathy smiled and they finished the rest of the song. They decided to go outside and catch a breeze of fresh air.
“Um, honey, go ahead, I’ll be right with you, I’ll just get a drink, I’m thirsty.”
“I’ll get it for you,”
“No, please just wait for me outside, I’ll hurry back, I promise.” Wills headed off out the castle and onto the patio. He took a deep breath of fresh, Scottish air when suddenly, he heard someone call him.
“William,” the voice said.
‘Uh-oh, That seductive voice could only belong to someone.’ He thought.
He turned around and came face to face with this girl with white skin and raven black hair. Her slim slender body came moving towards him.
“Franchesca, what are you doing here?” he demanded.
“William, dear, have you forgotten, my father works for your father,” she smiled.
‘Oh God, one of father’s lawyers,’ he thought.
‘What do you want?”
Chesca came towards him, “You, just you,”
“Get away from me,” said Wills as he started walking away, but Franchesca grabbed his hand.
“No, William, we have to finish what we started.”
“What are you…”
Before William could finish his sentence, Franchesca grabbed him and gave him a long kiss…
All of a sudden, they heard something break and William had a chance to pull away.
“Cathy,” his eyes widened.

Chapter XLVI

Cathy stood still. She didn’t know what to d o. Her eyes were wide open.
‘Oh God,’ she thought, ‘No way.’
Chesca approached Cathy and extended her hand.
“Hi, I’m Franchesca Holstein-Jones, You are? Well, whatever. Anyway, I’m William’s girlfriend. You’re the girl he was dancing with a while ago, right? Tell me, how you got William to dance with you. Well anyway, can you leave, because we’re in the middle of something, we were just finishing where we left off so could you please, go away,”
“No, Cathy, don’t believe her,” said Wills. Cathy felt numb. Tears began to fall out of her eyes, she didn’t look at Wills, and she ran away from William, fast!
“Now, William, let’s go up and…”
“Get away from me, Franchesca!” He yelled out ‘Where are my bodyguards when you need them?’
“William, you haven’t seen or called me for the past month, I missed you,” as she rubbed her hands against his chest.
“Don’t touch me!”
“Let’s just finish...”
“Shut up will you!” he yelled angrily. “You were never my girlfriend, what right did you have to say that!”
“Well at the party…”
“Don’t use that as a damn excuse!”
“C’mon, William. Let’s just finish…”
“No, you’re finished. I heard about the bet…First one to sleep with the prince eh? Between you and Clara?
“How’d you…”
“It doesn’t matter!”
“But Wills, I was doing it for you. If you were going put with the most popular girl at St. George’s, you’ll even be more well-known,” she said.

“You disgust me,” he said. “I never want to see or hear anything about and from you again!” He wanted to slap her, but instead, he ran out and searched for Cathy.

Chapter XLVII

Cathy ran out of the castle as fast as she could. She was in tears. It was dark and the moon served as the only light. Suddenly, it began to rain. She ran to the spot where William took her yesterday afternoon. She dropped onto the wet ground in tears. It was uncontrollable.
‘Why Wills, why?’ she cried, while the rain poured. She felt hurt, numb, confused, disgusted, broken apart, angry and heartbroken all at the same time. Her tears never seemed to stop as she lay in the grass; it all just came out.

“I thought you’d be here,” Cathy looked up. She was soaking wet. It was William. She could only say one word. “Why?”
William knelt beside her, “Luv, I…” Cathy stood up. “No William. Don’t call me ‘luv’. Don’t touch me. Don’t you ever go near me,’’ she said walking away in the rain. William felt numb, but still he followed her out into the woods.
“Cathy,”
‘William, get away from me!” Cathy yelled out as she dropped to the ground.
William started walking towards her.
“No. Stay there. Don’t you move an inch!” She screamed out. It began to rain harder.
“Cathy, I’m sorry…”
“Sorry? Is that all you can say William, ‘sorry?’ huh?’’ as she looked up and stared at him. She looked at his eyes, those eyes that she trusted so much. Now, the only thing she can see is hate, and lies. “William, I felt like a fool. You made me feel stupid. How do you think I’m supposed to feel, happy? I loved you! I trusted you!” she cried out.
All her tears came coming out and she’s letting everything she has inside, out. “I left you for a few minutes and what do I see? I see you snogging this, this, girl who claims to be your girlfriend! Finishing what you left off? How long have you been lying to me, William? You made me fee like a fool!” She buried her face in her arms in tears. William started walking towards her.
“Cathy, I…”
“Get away from me, William!” She stood up and started walking backwards.
“I don’t ever want to see or hear anything about and from you again!”
She yelled out. Cathy ran back towards the castle and left William. This time, Wills didn’t follow. He just stood there under the rain, dumbfounded.
‘I don’t ever want to see you again! You made me feel like a fool! She claimed to be your girlfriend!’ all her words seem to be circling William’s head all at the same time.
“I can’t believe I did this to Cathy. I love her so much.” William put his fist near heart and started to feel the pain as he stared at her tracks.
‘I never want to see or hear anything about or from you again!’ William felt numb. It hurts deep inside, as if someone cut open his heart. Tears started to fall out of his eyes. He didn’t mind the poring rain, or the roaring thunder. He broke down, knelt and buried his face in his hands in regret.

Chapter XLVIII

Cathy ran back to castle, passing through the ballroom caused all the guests and the royals to look at her. The orchestra stopped playing. Her tear stricken face, soaking, grass-stained dress and messy and wet hair caught everyone’s attention as she ran up the great stairs. Cameras stated clicking and people began whispering all at the same time. “What happened?”, “Where did she go?”, “Where’s William?” Cathy cried all the way to her room. She locked the door and the connecting door. She flopped on the bed and stated crying again.
“Why Wills? I love you so much, how could you do this to me?” She cried. “You hurt me terribly. I can’t bear it!” Knock, knock, knock!
“Cathy, are you alright?” Sounded like Zara.
“Cathy, are you OK?” it was Peter.
“Cats, what happened?” the voice belong to Harry.
‘I can’t face them. I can’t tell them,’ thought Cathy. “Think Simmonds, think!” she told herself.
“Um, yes,” she said, as normal as she could. “I am quite alright now.
I’m OK.”
“Cathy, what happened?” Zara yelled out.
‘’I, um, I,” she began thinking if a reason. “Um, I slipped on the grass and broke I think I broke my ankle. I’m quite alright now, really.
I just need rest. Please, go.” Cathy started to cry all over again. Zara leaned on the door.
“She had a fight with William,” she said. Peter and Harry looked at each other. “How did you even know that?”
“Yes,” said Harry. “I mean, she told you the reason, she slipped on the grass and broke her ankle, that’s it.”
Zara gave out a sigh. “Think.” She said. “If she broke her ankle, how could she have run up so fast? And where’s William?”
“Zara, it’s raining,”
“That’s not the point. I know these things, trust me.” The two just looked at each other and shrugged as they followed Zara back to the ballroom. Outside… It was still raining hard and William was soaking wet. The rain still kept on pouring, but he didn’t care.
“How could I have done this to her?” he asked himself. “ I have to tell her the truth. No matter what happens.”
William looked at the sky, rain was still pouring but he moon was still visible.
“Help me,” as he looked at the sky. He stood up and tried to regain his posture as he ran back to the Castle.
In the ballroom… “Well, Zara, did you ask Catherine what happened?” asked Princess Anne.

“Yes, Zara, is everything alright?” asked Prince Charles.
Zara looked at Harry and peter for help. “Um, she, um…”
‘’Slipped on the grass,” said Peter
“Broke her arm,” said Harry at the same time. The royals looked at each other in confusion.
‘Um, she, um, she slipped on the grass and she thinks she broke her arm> She’s resting in her room at the moment.” Zara supplied.
‘Well, we have to send a doctor to her room to…”
“No, Your Majesty. We, um, spoke to her. She is quite all right. She just needs to rest.”
‘Well, where is William?” The Queen asked. As if on cue, William came rushing in the ballroom, grass and mud stained and dripping wet. Cameras started flashing and people began whispering. He was on his way to the grand stairs, when his family stopped him.
“William, what happened to you?” asked Harry. Wills looked at himself, he just realized that he was a mess. ‘Think William, think,” he said to himself.
“I, Um, slipped on the grass.” The royals just looked at each other and William started to wonder.
‘Why are they all looking at each other like that?’ he thought.
“Well, William, you better check on Cathy, we think she got hurt,” his father said.
William just stared at his father in disbelief. ‘How did he know that?’ he asked himself.
“Check on Catherine, she might be really hurting.” William’s eyes widened as he looked at his family. The press were already taking photographs and hanging onto their every word.
“You know, Wills,” said Peter as he gave him a look that says,
‘Just go along with it’. “She also slipped on the grass and she might have broken her arm. Go up there and see.” William rushed up to the stairs as cameras started flashing and the people started speculating.

Chapter XLVIII

Cathy was sobbing uncontrollably. She can’t take the image out of her head. William was kissing this girl, in the dark and claimed to be his girlfriend!
“That two-timing creep,” she cried.
Her eyes caught a photograph on her bedside. She took and looked at it.
It was taken when they were out in Oxford, in one of those photo machines. She looked at Wills, his smile, his eyes, his hazel colored eyes, the eyes she trusted so much.
“But I love that two-timing creep…” Cathy started crying again, sobbing more than ever.
Knock, knock, knock!
“Cathy, It’s me, Wills,” She felt silent for a while. “Go away!” she yelled.
“Please Cathy, let me explain…”
‘No. I need and saw everything I have to know!’
“No Cathy, that’s not the truth.”
“Listen Windsor. I don’t wan to have anything to do with you again. So go awvay. I never want to see you again!”
“Cathy, please.”
“I hate you!!!” she yelled out. ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe I said that,’ she plopped down on the bed and started crying again. With that remark, a loud thunder rumbled and a blinding lightning struck the dark sky.
William felt numb. That did it. Tears started to come out of his eyes. He began to fall on the ground. He found himself lying in front of her bedroom door. He felt pain, great pain. He has never felt his bad before, ever. He could hear Cathy crying and decided to just stay there, until she felt all right. “Cathy you don’t mean that,” he said. “I love you, I can never hate you…”
