Six Steps
This page is all about my summer missions experience.

As some of you may know, I served as a summer missionary on a drama team traveling the state of Ohio for two summers. The name of our team was 'Six Steps'. We got this from 2 Samuel 6:13 'They took six steps and stopped to worship the Lord.' If you are familiar with this story, here is a shortened version...King David was trying to get the ark of the covenent back to Israel, but for many years, the people had not carried the ark the way that God commanded (on poles). Because these people were not following God's commands, they died. One man was struck dead because he touced the ark while attempting to carry it. Finally, David followed God's command and carried the ark on the poles. When the people had carried the ark six steps and saw that they were still alive, they had a huge celebration because they were bringing God back into their country. This is our team's focus, to celebrate God while bringing Him to the lost people.
I had an awsome time traveling around spreading God's word to different people. Some of the people we met had heard it before, but some others probably hadn't heard it about God. We got the chance to lead several people to the Lord during those two summers as well as witness many other lives touched by God's wonderful grace. I have to say, being on these teams are times I will never forget!!
