DESCENDANTS of ANDREAS WERNER
My search for the Werner family led to to Andreas Werner of Schirrhein, Alsace.
Andreas, b. Nov. 24, 1773 married Rosina Link. Their son Louis Otto Werner
married Elizabeth Forr. About 1847, Louis and Elizabeth left Alsace
for America with their children. Louis died on the ship and was buried at sea.
His death is noted in the Holy Family Parish books, Oldenburg, Indiana,
as Jan. 1847. Elizabeth and the children settled in Oldenburg, and she
remarried in 1849 to Joseph Theobald. No other children were born to her.
