Track 1: Break Down the Wall (Chris Jericho)
I really like Jericho's theme. It gives some background to his character, with all the Biblical references, although they never actually refer to him as a "savior." Johnston definitely hit a homerun with this one.
Track 2: Big (The Big Show)
Ugh. I don't know how it's possible, but they somehow made this song worse than it was before. It sounds like a monster truck rally meets Roller Jam. Johnston definitely struck out with this one.
Track 3: No Chance in Hell (The Corporation)
Most people seem to be on the fence where this song is concerned. Personally, I like it. It is a bit short compared to the other tracks, and I would have liked some more lyrics to it, but I give it a thumbs up anyway.
Track 4: Sexual Chocolate (Mark Henry)
Why is this song even on here? It's hard to argue against The Big Show's music's presence, but he's one of their main stars. Henry's one of the lowest of the midcarders right now. And I mean Phineas/ Mabel/Godfather low. The song's absolutely horrendous to boot.
Track 5: This is a Test (Test)
Ehh... it's okay, I guess. The lyrics don't really sound like they belong, and you can't hear what they're saying anyway. The beginning is good, but the rest of the song is a bit generic.
Track 6: Wreck (Mankind)
This sort of sounds like a crossover between Razor Ramon's old theme, Highway to Hell, and Wild Thing. Like most of the instrumental songs, it gets repetitive after about a minute. Very catchy song.
Track 7: Oh Hell Yeah (Stone Cold Steve Austin)
Why is this song even on here? This isn't even an entrance theme. It's a crappy song by crappy H-Blockx which I guess is supposed to be about crappy Steve Austin. You have to listen to it to find out how crappy it is. Personally, I would have preferred the Hardys or Hollys music over H-Blockx and The World's Strongest Barry White.
Track 8: Danger at the Door (D'lo Brown)
I'm not sure about the title when they don't even mention those words in the entire song. Strange song Johnston wrote for D'lo. It gets very repetitive after about thirty seconds, and that's never good.
Track 9: Blood Brother (Christian)
It sounds like they took Christian's singles theme and gave it a complete makeover. It's got a rocker/gothic quality to it, and is probably one of the better themes on the album.
Track 10: AssMan (Mr. Ass)
I don't know why everyone dumps all over this song. I must be the only one who finds it hilarious. Not that it's a good theme. It's probably one of the worst themes I've ever heard, but it's laughable bad.
Track 11: Ministry (The Undertaker)
Bells and choir good. UT chanting in tongues bad. I actually think this theme is better on the CD than it is in the arena. It's slower than his old one, which makes it more evil, I guess. A good theme to crank up the volume to.
Track 12: My Time (Triple H)
Call me crazy, but I like this theme. It's definitely better than the rest of the songs on the album (with the exception of Jericho). That is to say it's more convincing as a song than Triple H is as a heel. I like the fact that the song plays toward backstage politics.
Track 13: On the Edge (Edge)
I don't think this remix fits Edge's character as well as the old one did. The old one sounded more nervous, frantic, and mysterious, while this one tries to be, but fails. Not a bad song, just not as good as the old version.
Track 14: Know Your Role (The Rock)
Another review of the album said it best: It's like being hit over the head with a Rock action figure. The theme jerks you around at the beginning, which doesn't sound very good. Then it lapses into repeating "The Rock says..." over and over. What made me laugh out loud was in the middle of it, where he goes, "The Rock says he's gonna take your little CD, dust it off, turn it sideways..." I think the rest of you can fill in the blanks. I didn't expect to hear that in the middle of the song for some reason. It does have some nice guitars in it, though.
Overall, the album is good. Not as good as vol. 3, but not terrible. The awful H-Blockx theme, along with The Big Show, and Sexual Chocolate were the only real bad ones that I couldn't stand to listen to. Other than those three, it was worth buying.
