MSA Passport MultiGas Detector
From what I have found, MSA's Passport Personal Alarm is the world's top selling multigas detector, with over 50,000 shipped to customers worldwide. Its durability is field proven in the toughest industries around the globe. As the first gas detector with simplified three button operation, the Passport Alarm set the standards for simplicity and users typically require less training to operate it.
The Passport is packed with the features needed to help ensure worker safety. Capable of monitoring up to five gases simultaneously, it is equipped with bright multidirectional alarm lights and a loud alert horn. The display faces the user, allowing hands free operation when it is worn on the belt or on a strap around the neck. The Passport Alarm's included high efficiency pump is powered by the instrument, which provides audible and visual alerts in the event of flow faults. The pump can be removed to provide diffusion mode operation. The instrument also records gas exposure readings for up to 12 hours for later retrieval if necessary.
The Passport Personal Alarm has been approved for use in Class I Division I, Groups A, B, C and D; Class II Division I, Groups E, F, G and Class III hazardous locations.
The unit offered is in good condition and appeared to be functional when power tested. The alarm does sound and no gases are present when powered up, but not sure if that’s normal since I don’t have a manual. I have no knowledge of the operation of this unit so can’t test further. This unit has a sticker on it which says “MSA Lifetime Warranty” so if it has a problem, it should be no problem getting fixed and I would think it would be free except for maybe shipping expenses. These units sell for over $3000 so don’t miss this deal! As with all items I sell, these units are being sold "as-is".
