Survivair Escape Breathing Apparatus
This apparatus is intended for emergency use only, providing 10 minutes of breathing air to allow the user to escape atmospheres that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH). With proper training, the apparatus can be donned and functioning in seconds.
The EBA-10 consists of a refillable aluminum cylinder, a valve and pressure gauge assembly, protective hood and breathing tube, and a regulator. The unit is carried in a nylon pouch with easy access Velcro opening and may be worn in three positions (illustrations shown in the manual).which are around the neck, over the shoulder, or around the waist. The unit is approved for temperatures from 0 deg. F to 160 deg. F. The hood is equipped with an insert facepiece panel treated with an anti-fog coating and is secured around the neck with an elastic drawstring. Additionally, the storage case can be wall mounted or used to transport the unit.
I purchased this item a while back at a local auction. The unit is in good condition and appears to be complete and functional. Also included in this sale is an extra EBA-5 tank and harness. The EBA-5 tank stores approximately 8 cu. Ft. of air at 2216 psig. The EBA-10 tank stores approximately 13 cu. Ft. of air at 3000 psig. There is no air currently in the tanks and they are out of date and will need a new hydro certification (about $15). As with all items I sell, this unit is being sold "as-is".
