Kodak Ektamatic Paper Processor
This unit is used in the process of developing fiber base stabilization paper such as Kodak Ektamatic paper. Ektamatic paper incorporates some of the developing chemicals so that developing is much quicker (15 to 18 seconds develop). The processor utilizes activator to develop the print, then uses stabilizer to render it insensitive to light. The pressure of the rollers squeezes most of the fluid from the print, rendering it virtually dry when exiting the processor. It can be exposed to normal light as soon as it exits the processor, but should be fixed so the print won't change with age. You also can develop RC papers with this unit, providing that you eliminate the stabilizer and add activator to both trays.
