.....Karl Malone is one of the finest NBA players in the league today. During his career, he has accomplished many honourable achievements. He was named 1998-99 NBA Most Valuable Player, becoming only the ninth player in NBA history to win the Maurice Podoloff Trophy more than once. In addition, Karl Malone was named to the 1998-99 All-NBA First Team, becoming the first player in NBA history to be voted to 11 All-NBA First Teams. Malone is currently fourth in All Time Points scored, closely behind Michael. If Malone continues to play with the great excellence he had in the past many years, it will only be a short period of time before he climbs ahead of MJ.
.....Malone is currently active in the Utah Special Olympics. Also, he founded the Karl Malone Foundation for Kids. In recognition of all the things he had done for the state of Utah, he was named the first Utahn of the Year in 1997 by the Salt Lake Tribune.
