The names of the children you are about to see are real. These children were murdered, some by strangers, neighbors, family friends, but mostly by their own parents. I created this page to show that I abhor child abuse.
I have held a baby in my arms. I've taught children in Sunday school. I've seen the emotions bursting forth from their eyes and a promise in them to teach the world how to love. I cannot imagine what force can bring a person to look at that promise face to face and snuff it out. I cannot imagine ignoring the plea of an innocent child to not hurt them. And I cannot imagine sparing a person who can hurt a child.

The Starfish
There was an old woman who lived near a quiet beach on the ocean. Early in the morning, she would walk along the beach and pick up the starfish that had washed onto the shore during the night. She would look at the starfish for a moment, and then toss it back into the water. She would repeat this ritual all morning, and the next day, hundreds of starfish would be washed up onto the shore again. One day a young man happened to be walking along the beach, and he came upon the old woman. As he watched her, he burned with curiousity and finally asked why she was doing this. "I'm throwing the starfish back into the water" she answered, "before the afternoon sun rises and kills them." "But there are hundreds of starfish on this beach alone" answered the young man, "and many thousands more on the beaches all over the world. You can't possibly save them all, so what difference does it make?" The old woman smiled as she held out one small, spindly starfish to the youth, and answered, "It makes a difference to this one."
