AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE
well oz is where i live and i just wanted to clear up a few matters...
there are not kangaroos hopping down my street, it does get bloody cold here sometimes, i can't surf, the beaches closest to where i live (melbourne)SUCK, no-one except me says "G'day, mate" and no, i don't know silverchair personally. but, yes i can tell you what's happening here on Home and Away, Neighbours or Heartbreak High, so email me if all you pommies want to find out. and yes, i LOOOOOVE the football, Collingwood to be exact even though we suck. anyway, here are a few bogan terms my friends and i use, so if you ever talk to one of us you won't get confused by our oh so eloquent use of language...
bogan melbourne slang
- well, for starters, a BOGAN is someone who drives around in old bombs with ACDC blaring, and they have 80's hairdos and drink VB's
- SICK/SICK CUNT/ SICK BITCH don't get upset if someone calls you any of these things, it actually means you're a bit of a legend. However...
- if someone GOES SICK AT YOU, that's not good. They're getting mad. The same goes for GOING OFF at someone, but...
- GOIN' OFF is good. You say this when you see a band who are really good
- if something is SWEET, a SWEET DEAL or a FAIR EFFORT, it means something good has happened, but...
- if something is a TIGHT EFFORT, that's not good.
- FULLY means really (like it's bogan 80's uncle, DEADSET)
- if you LASH or LASH on someone, it means you leave or you're pissing off on someone, and
- BOOTING or DOIN' THE BOOT, or BOOTSKIE also means leaving
- if someone tells you to GET A DOG UP YA, well, i'm sure you can figure out what that means. GDP stands for Get a Dog uP ya (not Gross Domestic Product like your Geography teacher will try to tell you)
- ON YA BIKE means piss off.
- a GUN is someone good. Like a sickcunt.
