       Magen & Luna

Magen

Shaun and I got Magen on the day that we were suppose to leave on our cruise. Our original wedding plans were to get married on St. Thomas at Magen's Bay. Well we couldn't go since his dad was ill and I happened to see an ad in the paper that morning for St. Bernard/Lab Mix puppies. He said he couldn't say no to me, so we went out and got a little girl. She is so cute and so sweet, and quite smart. She is now about 100 lbs and LOVES everyone! She also loves to give kisses!

Luna

Shaun and I decided that maybe Magen would like another dog to play with. We had been looking around for a couple of months before we decided to stop in at our local humane society one day. That morning, a litter of 4 Siberian Husky mixes had been dropped off. One had already found a home before we got there. We picked this little girl, the only one with blue eyes. She was only 5 weeks old when we brought her home. She is very smart but also very stubborn. She has a bit of an attitude but she loves us, and her and Magen are the best of friends!

In memory of Morgan and Maxwell...

Morgan was a St. Bernard. She was born on May 25, 1997. She was my Christmas present in 1997, but I actually got her in July of that year. We drove almost 3 hours to Clarksburg, OH to get her! She picked us. We were going to get a boy, but she was just so darn cute we just had to have her! She slept the whole way home. We put her in her pen in the garage and she never made a sound all night! She weighed 19 lbs when we got her, and got to be about 150 pounds! She went to Puppy Kindergarden and Dog obedience, which was so much fun. She was very smart, and knew some english too! Sadly, on October 7, 2003, Morgan was diagnosed with bone cancer. She had broken her hind leg and it was not going to heal because the bone was diseased. We opted not to amputate or do any kind of cancer treatment because there is such a slim chance that it would extend her life, and we did not want to put her through it. She wore a splint on the leg and was doing well for a while, but in late January, early February of 2004 she started having more trouble getting around, and trouble breathing (which meant the cancer had moved to her lungs). My parents and I agreed that we did not want to see her get any worse, and on February 7, 2004 we put her to sleep. Now she is with Max, running and playing like they used to. I miss her so much, but she will forever be in my heart. There will never be another dog like her, she was truly an angel sent from heaven!

Maxwell was a Cocker Spaniel. He was born on November 18, 1986. We got him when I was 7. I was at school while my parents went to get him. They walked him to school to get me, and I was so excited! We adopted him from the human society when he was just 4 1/2 months old. Sadly, Max passed away on June 24th of 2001. He is greatly missed, but will always hold a special spot in my heart :)
