Killarmy (In order from left to right)
Killarmy has added a definite different. Instead of comin wit kung fu samples, they have added a war-like sound to their music. Hence, tha name.
This group adds a whole new flavah to tha Wu-Tang Dynasty. Wit only a few songs on their Debut release, 'Silent Weapons For Quiet Wars', produced by RZA, they still show they have tha ability to shine in tha Wu-Tang light.
Anotha difference they have added is, not only is 4 of tha members from Shaolin, but tha other 2 is from Steubenville, OH. Deez 2 bein ShoGun Assasson(Jamal Alexander) and Beretta 9. Also, 9th Prince is from Shaolin but livez in Ohio.
They still have samples from kung fu movies but tha samples is mo' wartime than kung fu. A movie they do sample from is 'Full Metal Jacket.' They also go as far as to sample tha music from tha 'Mash' theme song on tha track '5 Star General.'
They don't feature many people on their songs. Tha only 3 songs that feature someone else is 'Clash Of Tha Titans(f/ Street Life)', 'Wake Up'(f/Prodigal Sunn)', and '5 Star General(f/ Masta Killa).'
From beginnin to end, Killarmy shows they will last. Watch for big moves by deez guyz!
I hate to be tha one to inform peepz of this but many won't know it! Killarmy's manager, General Wise aka Wisegod Allah(formerly known as Grier Montgomery), was killed in downtown Steubenville, Oh. Saturday night bout 12:30 a.m. I only know this becuz I live in Weirton which is right across tha Ohio River from Steubenville. Rest In Peace General Wise! We'll keep yo legacy alive!!
