Art

Art has had a very big influence on my life. Even as a little kid i dreamt of being an artist...it's something i've always wanted to do...something i've always seen myself doing...this section is dedicated to the type of art i want to do...the type of artist i look at and dream of being... i remember drawing from a very young age...first it started out as looking at my toys i played with...i'd draw them from every conceivable angle...my g.i. joe dolls...my hotwheels...stuffed animals...anything and everything...then it gradually moved on to comic books...i had always read and collected them...but somehow the art is what i always looked at...more than the story...i mean if you look at a good drawing...you dont need words to describe the scene...the drawing or painting itself should display the mood to you...the more and more i practiced the better i got...when i was a senior in high school i took lessons from a local artist...Christoper Canyon...he is the author and artist for several children's books...with his help and my drive...i earned a free ride into art school...but...being a total dumbass at the time...i threw it away...i kick myself in the ass everytime i think about it...but that was 5 years ago...i'm back on track now...i have plans on entering art school this coming fall...hopefully to do what i've always loved...when i was 20 my brother came to me and asked if i would paint 2 murals for him...1 for my neice and 1 for my nephew...all together they took about a month to do...for my nephew i painted(in acrylic) a scene of winnie the pooh...it covered one wall...7 feet long by 7 1/2 feet high...for my neice i painted(in acrylic)a scene from bambi...it covered 1 1/2 walls...about 13 feet long by 7 1/2 feet high...i plan on adding scanned pictures of these in time...but until then...i hope you check out the other pages of art by some of my favorite artists.
