Here they come!

-From the mouth of Jawz-

12.28.03 - With the acquisition of Schilling the Sox have all but complete a Cy Young filled piching staff, not to mention a solid closer in Foulk. But with the Manny for A-rod deal falling through, there could be bad blood between Boston higher-ups and Nomar. Will he sign again after '04? Will the Sox even offer, or will they deal him to Chicago? Perhaps somewhere in the N.L.? Whatever happens Boston could be in the thick of it, lacking in the shortstop aspect of the game. Second base should be covered, now that Pokey Reese joins us in beantown, and if Mueller can repeat last years performance Boston should have a solid infield. Maybe '04 is the year the curse comes to an end!

01.17.04 - Things are looking up on the home front. Minor additions to the club, and young talent may help make the push over the Yankees, in 2004. Lou Merloni may finally find a home in Cleveland, and be out of Nomar's shadow. Byung Hyun Kim seems very close to signing an extension with the Sox, which will just reinforce their piching staff. I believe the piching staff is going to be the deciding factor this season. New York may be trying to counter everything Boston does, especially in the piching department, but I feel the Sox will prevail. New York has already lost Petitte and the Rocket, which will impact their staff, even with the acquisition of Vasquez.
