April 1, 1999 That's Dr. Rao on the left. He was my main surgeon. He was just given an award for doing the most "limb saving" operations on kids with cancer THROUGHOUT THE WORLD!! That's Dr. Al Hallek on the right. He assisted Dr. Rao at my surgery. He's from Syria. I call him Dr. Tony because his name is Antone. I don't look happy and I"M NOT!

This is Dr Najat Daw. She is the oncologist in charge of my treatment. She is from Lebanon.

April 7. The therapist has me walking with just one crutch. I can't straighten my left leg completely because they made it longer than the other. That way it will be even with the other leg in a few years.

This is my Uncle Rick. He flew in from Atlanta after my surgery.

April 8. Throwing a ball without any crutches!

Sitting in the sunlight on my front steps.
