Lauren arrived in Dayton, Ohio, later that afternoon and got together with some friends. During the next three weeks she hung out with some old friends and had a good time. She wrote Nick 2 letters during this time, but never sent them. Then she finally wrote a letter to him that she sent, she also sent along a tape.
Nick-
Hi, how’s Florida? I miss it almost as much as I miss you. If only I could bring myself to come back, but I can’t. I’m having a good time here though. I’ve been hanging out with old friends who I haven’t seen since I left for Florida last August. Oh, well I’ll be back soon enough. Please listen to the tape I sent, it says how I feel. Remember there will ALWAYS be you and me. I promise.

“Nick, you’ve got mail!!” Jane yelled to Nick, who was upstairs in his room.
“Ok, I’m coming!” Nick said running downstairs, picking up his mail and then running back upstairs. Once he got to his room he started to look through the mail hoping to find a letter from Lauren.
“Yes!” he said to himself when he found the letter and tape from her. After he read the letter and listened to the tape he called Lisa and Brian.
“Hey Bri!”-Nick
“Hey Frack how’s it goin?”-Brian
“Good, I got a letter from Lauren.”-Nick
“Really?”-Brian
“Yeah, actually, do you think I could talk to Lisa?”-Nick
“Sure man, hang in there,” Brian said as he handed the phone to Lisa
“Hello?”-Lisa
“Hey, it’s Nick.”
“Oh hi, how are you?”-Lisa
“Good, and you?”-Nick
“Fine.”-Lisa
“Lauren wrote me.”-Nick
“Really?”-Lisa
“Yeah I’ll read it to ya....” Nick said as he preceded to read the letter to Lisa, “Oh and she also sent me the song Sometimes. Do you know what she meant by it?”-Nick
“Yeah, I do.”-Lisa
“Well, please, do tell.”-Lisa
“The song basically describes how she feels.”-Lisa
“Oh...well I was thinking..that I would go to Ohio and talk to her.”-Nick
“Did you listen to the words of that song?....That’s the last thing you need to do.”-Lisa
“Well, I miss her and I wanna talk to her.”-Nick
“I’ll give you her phone number, call her.”-Lisa
“Fine,” Nick said as Lisa gave him Lauren’s number.
“Well me and Bri are gonna go out, call me and tell me how it goes,” Lisa said as they said their good-byes and hung up.
