~*~The Wedding~*~
Lisa, Lauren, and Lisa’s three other bridesmaids, Holly, Katelyn, and Carrie were the first to arrive at the small church where the wedding was being held. An hour later Brian and his four groomsmen, Nick, Kevin, Howie, and AJ, arrived.
“I’m nervous,” Lisa said as she, along with the rest of her bridesmaids, were getting pearls strung through their hair.
“Lisa! These dresses show my chicken legs!” Katelyn said pointing at her baby blue slip dress.
“No they don’t.”-Carrie
“Yes they do!”-Katelyn
“Oh, just shut up.”-Holly
“Well Kate, if you wanna be in the wedding then you better wear the dress.”-Lisa
“Anyways, the wedding starts in 15 minutes, so it’s not like you can go out and buy another dress.”-Lauren
“Thanks for making me more nervous, Lauren,” Lisa said as she put the finishing touches on her makeup. Then they were on their way to the lobby outside the chapel where they met up with Nick, AJ, Howie, Kevin, and Lisa’s dad. First through the doors were Holly and Kevin, then Carrie and Howie, Katelyn and AJ, and finally Lauren and Nick. Following them was Lisa and her dad. The wedding went smoothly and it was now time for the reception to begin. First they ate dinner, made the toasts, and cut the cake. Then it was time for the dancing to begin. They had the usual wedding dances...wedding party, bride and father, groom and mother, etc......Then everyone could dance.
“Hey, Nicky pooh, time to dance,” Lauren said pulling him onto the dance floor.
“Ahhh, do I have to?” Nick whined.
“Yes, besides this is OUR song,” Lauren said as they walked onto the dance floor and Nick wrapped his arms around her and they started to dance.
“These are the times we all wish for....” Nick quietly sang to Lauren. After the song was over they went and talked to Lisa and Brian. Soon after that Lisa and Brian left for their honeymoon in the Cayman Islands, but everyone stayed at the reception and the dancing continued.
“Nick, I want to dance,” Lauren whined.
“...and I don’t.”-Nick
“Ugh!”-Lauren
“Lauren, I’ll take you out there to dance,” AJ said holding out his hand.
“Nick, I’m going with AJ,” Lauren said taking his hand as they walked to the dance floor. They danced for about 45 minutes when they both decided to step outside to cool down.
“Are you having fun?”-AJ
“Yep, how about you?”-Lauren
“Yeah, I am.”-AJ
“I almost forgot how good of a dancer you were.”-Lauren
“Really?” AJ asked surprised.
“Yep.”-Lauren
“What happened to us?”-AJ
“Amanda happened to you.”-Lauren
“I forgot about her. She never meant anything to me. You did, and still do.”-AJ
“AJ, you’ll always mean something to me, but that doesn’t change what you did.”-Lauren
“I know, but I always wonder, is there anything still there?”-AJ
“I know, so do I. Why can’t we just be friends. We act so weird around each other.”-Lauren
“I know...there is one way to tell if anything is left.”-AJ
“...and that would be?”-Lauren
“One last kiss, a kiss tells everything.”-AJ
“Ok, one last kiss,” Lauren said as AJ leaned over and kissed her as she kissed back, and then stopped, “wait, I have a boyfriend, who I love. I can’t do this.”
“You already kissed me.”-AJ
“I know...did you feel anything..ooh wait, that didn’t come out right....did the kiss mean anything...aah no...well you know what I’m asking.”-Lauren
“Sorry, but no. How ‘bout you?”-AJ
“Nope!” she said happily as she hugged him.
“Now we can be friends without any feelings,” AJ said hugging her back and then they walked back inside. They walked back over to the wedding party table where Nick, Howie, Kevin, Carrie, Holly, and Katelyn were talking.
“Nicky baby, let’s go home. I’m getting tired.”-Lauren
“Ok sweetie,” Nick said as he got up and each of them said their good-byes and Lauren and Nick went home.

“I love you Nick,” Lauren said once they were in the car on the highway back to Tampa.
“I love you too,” Nick said as Lauren leaned over and kissed him. Lauren fell asleep soon after that and was asleep once they arrived back at their condo. Nick picked her up and carried her to their room where she woke up halfway. She then changed into her pajamas and then Nick helped her take all the pearls out of her hair. Then Nick walked her over to their bed and tucked her in.
“Goodnight baby,” Nick said kissing her on the forehead.
“Goodnight.”-Lauren

One week later Brian and Lisa were back from their honeymoon, where all the usual honeymoon things went on.
