Nick, Brian, Howie, AJ, and Kevin found out the following month that they had to go on a promotional tour in the United States. The night before they left soon came and Nick and Lauren spent it together.
“So what do you want to do tonight?” Nick asked Lauren as he brushed some hair away from her face.
“Be with you,” Lauren said as Nick wrapped his arms around her.
“I can do that,” Nick said pulling her closer.
“I was hoping you could,” Lauren said as she put in a CD player and turned it on, “dance with me.”
“Sure,” Nick said as he held Lauren close as you eyes danced to the song “Satisfied,” by Five.

“I’m gonna miss you,” Lauren said quietly as a tear rolled down her cheek.
“I’m gonna miss you too. Why are you crying baby?” Nick asked kissing the tear coming down her face.
“...because I love you and I don’t wanna be away from you for so long...”-Lauren
“Why don’t you come with me then?”-Nick
“I’d probably be in the way. I mean it’s not like I’m you’re wife or something. I guess I just can’t always be around you, and I’ll have to deal with that. It’s life.”-Lauren
“Not if...if I...”-Nick
“Spit it out Nick.”-Lauren
“Give you this and say...Marry me!,” he said as he held out a small, but very elegant diamond ring. “Well, will you?”
“Yes Nick! I will!”-Lauren
“Good.” he said hugging her. “Now go pack your bags you’re coming with me and the guys and Lisa tomorrow.”
“Ok, but I gotta call my parents...like NOW!!” she screamed jumping up and down.
“Mom, dad, guess what?...I’m getting married!” Lauren screamed over the phone to her parents.

“Nick! Where are you?” Lauren asked after she had gotten off the phone with her parents.
“Out here!” Nick yelled from the sun room.
“Whatcha doin out here?” Lauren asked as she walked over towards him.
“Waiting for you.”-Nick
“Oh,” Lauren said as she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him into a hug as he kissed her on the forehead.
“You wanna take a walk on the beach?”-Nick
“Fine, but it’s dark.”-Lauren
“Yeah, I know. That just makes it more romantic baby,” he said taking her hand and leading her out onto the beach.
“So, what time are we leaving tomorrow?”-Lauren
“Well, we have to be in O-town by 9 am to load the bus, so I was thinking 7. I have to pick Brian and Lisa up.”-Nick
“Does everyone know I’m coming?”-Lauren
“Yeah. Did I ever tell you how happy I was that you’re coming along?”-Nick
“Not yet, but why don’t you.”-Lauren
“I’m so glad you’re coming,” Nick said laughing.
“And I’m so glad I’m going!” Lauren said.
“Hey, I got an idea!”-Nick
“Oh no!”-Lauren
“Well on my day off in New York we can go look for wedding stuff.”-Nick
“Ok, I’ll go for that!”-Lauren
“Good, I love you so much.”-Nick
“I love you too,” Lauren said as Nick kissed her then they walked inside.

It was the next morning and Lauren and Nick had just arrived at Brian and Lisa’s in Orlando. Lauren rang the doorbell and Brian and Lisa answered the door.
“Hey Lauren!” Brian said as he opened the door.
“Hey psycho!” Lisa said as Lauren flashed her ring in their faces.
“Oh my gosh Lauren!-Lisa
“Congrats!” Brian said hugging her as Nick walked up.
“Yo Rok! What you doin hugging my girl?!” Nick said jokingly.
“Congratulating her. I can’t believe you actually got up the nerve to ask her. You’re very impressive Nicky!”-Brian
“I know.”-Nick
Then Brian turned towards Lauren, “You’ll never know how nervous this guy was! He had that ring forever!”
“Ok, well we better go,” Lisa said as everyone then took Brian and Lisa’s luggage to Lauren and Nick’s car.

“Ready to hit the road?” Brian said once everyone was on the tour bus.
“Oh yeah!” AJ said as the bus pulled out of the parking lot and headed north on the highway to Chicago. In Chicago they were on the Oprah show promoting their new album. Then they went to St. Louis for a record signing, then to Indianapolis, Indiana, and Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio for more record signings. This all took place within a period of four days, then they were on their way to Pittsburg for a signing and finally to New York City, where they would go on David Letterman, Regis and Kathy Lee, and the Rosie show within two days. Then they had a day off, and Lauren and Nick spent it alone.
