“Hey, ya ready?”-AJ
“I thought you weren’t coming until 6:30?”-Lauren
“So I’m 20 minutes early.”-AJ
“Well, let me know next time you’re gonna come early and I WILL be ready!”-Lauren
“Ok, well forget this idea. I’m just gonna go back to my place and let you cool off, ‘cuz I try and do something nice for you for your birthday and you don’t appreciate it so forget it!” AJ said walking towards the door.
"Stop. Baby, I’m sorry. I don’t know what’s wrong with me right now,” Lauren said standing in front of the door. They talked for a few minutes and then decided to go do what AJ had planned.
“Come on, let’s go,” AJ said picking up her suitcase and heading out of her dorm to his car.
“So, where are we going?” Lauren asked as they got onto the highway and started to drive southwest. About an hour and a half later the pulled off of the Tampa Bay exit.
“We’ll be there in five minutes,” AJ said leaning over and wrapping his free arm over Lauren’s shoulders. “You’re gonna love this.”
“Will I?” Lauren asked sarcastically.
“Yeah, I promise.”-AJ
A few minutes later they arrived at the beach at Tampa Bay. They parked at a spot that over-looked the whole city. It was now dark out so the place they parked had a great view.
“Hey, look over there,” Lauren said pointing to a blanket on the beach that was surrounded by candles, “those people must be on some romantic get-away or something.” AJ just grinned.
“Well...what if I told you that I put the blanket and the candles out there?”-AJ
“AHHH!!! That’s so cute and romantic.” Lauren said leaning over and kissing him on the cheek.
“Oh, I know,” AJ said still smiling.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you. Let’s go!!!” Lauren said jumping out of the car.
“Ok, if you say so,” AJ said getting out of the car and laughing at how hyper Lauren was.
“Let’s go, let’s go!!” Lauren said grabbing AJ’s hand and running out to the blanket on the beach.
“Ok, ok. Calm down girl.” AJ said wrapping his arms around her, pulling her into a tight hug.
“Why? Don’t you like my hyper side?” Lauren asked laughing.
“It’s not that...it’s just that it makes me want to do this!!” AJ said as he started to tickle her.
“Ahhh!! Stop!!” Lauren screamed between the laughs.
“Why should I? What’s in it for me?”-AJ
“”This!” Lauren said as she started to kiss him.
They finally made their way over to the blanket and laid down so that they could look up at the sky.
“Look, the first star. Make a wish!”-Lauren
“Ok, I will,” he said as he leaned over and kissed her, They kissed for a while.
“Hey, you know what I wanna do?”-Lauren
“What?”-AJ
“Change into my swimsuit and go out in the ocean!”-Lauren
“Ok, you’re crazy! It’s dark, and do you even have your swimsuit along?”-AJ
“Yes, I do, and I’m going to change RIGHT NOW!” Lauren screamed as she was running back towards AJ’s car, grabbing her swimsuit then running off towards the changing shelter.
“Ok, I’m back!” Lauren yelled staring at AJ who was wearing silk boxers, “you’re swimming in those?”
“You’re wearing that,” pointing to her bikini that she was wearing, “around me?”
“Yes, should I put on more clothes?” Lauren asked jokingly.
“No, no no! Come on,” AJ said picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder and then running off towards the water.
“Ahh!” Lauren pretendidly screamed.

About an hour later they were both fully clothed(in their pajamas) and lying on the blanket staring up at the sky and talking.
“You know why I like you so much?”-Lauren
“Why?”-AJ
“...because of all the little romantic things you do.”-Lauren
“This one will beat them all...” AJ said as he started to sing. “Every day girl I will go and pray...don’t take too long. ‘Cuz since you’ve been gone, everything’s gone all wrong...I wish you were here, holding me near. You know I’d go out of my mind if you ever left my heart behind, so I’m begging you please, I need you so bad, don’t leave me now you’re the best that I’ve had. If I don’t have you, to hold on to...I can’t go on in this world alone, baby it’s true, if I don’t have you. If you said good-bye...girl I would die, I’m a star with no light a day with no night, if I don’t have you...”he kept singing as Lauren leaned over and gently kissed him.
“Thanks,” she said as he kissed her after he was done singing. They soon fell asleep in each others arms.

A month passed and Lauren was getting together with Nick more and seeing AJ less. For some reason AJ had been very busy lately, so one day Lauren decided to go to his house to make sure he was ok. AJ didn’t answer the door, so she let herself in.
“AJ, baby, you here?!” Lauren yelled and got no reply.
“Ok, I guess not” Lauren said to herself as she walked into the kitchen. She found a note on his counter, so she picked it up and read it.
