AJ-Hey baby, I miss you. It’s too bad that when you come home, I’ll be gone already. Actually I’m leaving in an hour. I should be back sometime next week. Just have to settle some family business, ya know how that is? I’ll have a surprise for you when I get back, I promise. Well I’ll call ya then!

Lauren finished reading the note just as AJ walked in the house.
“Hey baby!! I missed ya!” AJ said as he ran over and hugged her.
“WHAT IS THIS!!” she screamed.
“What is what?!”-AJ
“THIS!!” Lauren said throwing the note at him.
“Ugh...uh...”-AJ
“IT”S OVER!!!” Lauren screamed as she ran out the door. She drove for awhile until it started to rain really hard, so she decided to head back to her empty dorm. Brian and Lisa’s relationship was becoming more serious and they had decided to go to the Bahamas for a week. Lauren sat curled up on her bed crying for awhile when she felt like she had to get away.
Hey. I’m leaving this place for awhile, I’m sorry I couldn’t wait ‘til you got back,
but I hope you had a good time. A LOT has happened since you and Bri have left and I
just need to get away from here for a while. I don’t know when I’ll be back. Bye.
Lauren got in her car and headed straight for Nick’s house, and hour and a half away.
She pulled into the driveway and could see he was out on his boat, so she walked out onto
the dock.
“Hey, you don’t look so well. What are you doing here?”-Nick
“Uh...um...I needed to...uh...get away.”-Lauren
“Oh, ok. Well, I was just about to head out on my boat, you wanna join me?”-Nick
“Yeah, sure.”-Lauren
“Ok,” Nick said helping Lauren onto the boat. They were a little way off-shore when it
started to get darker and rain again. Nick finally broke the silence.
“What’s on your mind?”-Nick
“Um...I broke up with AJ.” Lauren said as a few tears started to roll down her face.
“Are you ok?” Nick said walking over to her and embracing her in a hug.
“No, he cheated on me Nick! He cheated on me!”-Lauren
“Are you sure?”-Nick
“Yes, I found a note. Why Nick? Why’d he do it.”-Lauren
“I don’t know, I really don’t know,” Nick said as he hugged her tighter because she
started to cry more. “It’ll be ok Lauren. You’ll be fine. Now let’s take in my boat, it's getting too dark. You can stay with me tonight, my parents aren’t home, and they
wouldn’t care anyways.”
“Ok,” Lauren said wiping the tears from her face.
“You can just stay here for awhile if you want. Then you won’t have any chance of seeing
AJ for a few days.” Nick said as they got out of the boat and he tied it to the dock. “Now
come on, you’ll be fine.” Nick said as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders as they
walked up to his house.
“Thank you,” Lauren said softly.

"Here,"Nick said handing her a towel once they reached his house.
“Oh, thanks.”-Lauren
“Did you bring any clothes to sleep in?”-Nick
“Yeah they’re in my car. I wasn’t planning on staying here too long. I was just coming to
tell you I would be away for awhile and not to worry, but I guess..well...I had a change in
plans. I was gonna leave Florida, maybe for good. I mean I love it here, but AJ made me
sooo mad. I opened up to him and what did he do? He went and cheated on me. Wasn’t
I good enough for him? Ugh! I am so mad at him!” Lauren said starting to cry again.
“Hey, hey , hey. Calm down, you’ll be fine. I guess you were too good for him. He can
be a jerk like that sometimes. I don’t know what his problem is, but he seems to think that
he’s better than a lot of people, and I guess that he can get away with dating more than
one women. Who knows?” Nick said hugging her again.
“Well, I just wanna go to bed. I’ll just sleep in my clothes, ‘cuz I don’t feel like going out
in the rain again.” Lauren said wiping the tears off her face once more as Aaron walked
into the room.
“Hey Nick, Lauren.”-Aaron
“Hey, why aren’t you in bed?”-Nick
“Mom and Dad called a few minutes ago and woke me up. They said to tell you they said
hi, and to keep the house clean while they’re gone this week.”-Aaron
“Oh, ok. Well we’re going to bed, and so are you.”-Nick
“Is she staying?” Aaron asked as pointed to Lauren.
“Yeah, so that means you get to stay in Angel’s room, k?”-Nick
“Oh?”-Aaron
“Don’t get the wrong idea, we’re just friends. Now go to bed.” Nick said as he and
Lauren walked into his room. Once in bed Lauren and Nick soon fell asleep with Lauren’s
