“Morning, doing any better?” Nick asked Lauren as she woke up the following morning.
“Not really, I didn’t sleep to well.”-Lauren
“Oh. Well you wanna go with Aaron, Angel, and me to Busch Gardens? I promised I’d take them today.”-Nick
“Yeah, sure. When are you leaving?”-Lauren
“In about an hour and a half.”-Nick
“Ok, I’ll be ready, but first I gotta get my stuff out of my car.” Lauren said climbing out of bed.

“Aaron! Angel! You two ready?”-Nick
“Yeah. Angel hurry up.” Aaron said running down the stairs.
“I’m ready,” Angel said coming down the steps,
“Lauren, are you coming?”
"Yep, sure am.”-Lauren
“Good, I won’t be stuck with these two again.”-Angel
“Ok Angel, let’s get goin.”-Nick

“Are we there yet? Are we there yet?” Aaron and Angel asked over and over again.
“No! I just told you we still have another half hour to go.” Nick said as he turned up the radio so he couldn’t hear them anymore.
“I love this song!” Lauren said as she started to sing.
“So do I,” Nick said joining in the singing.
“Make a wish, close your eyes and count to five...don’t you know that everything will be all right, see the magic in your eyes......take me there I wanna go there....take me to that great place of wonders and wishin....” Lauren and Nick sang as Aaron and Angel also joined in. The radio kept Angel and Aaron entertained the rest of the way there.
“Yay! We’re there!” Angel and Aaron shrieked.
“Yeah, FINALLY.” Nick said relieved.
“Let’s go on this first..” Aaron said pointing to a map.
“No, I wanna go on this first.” Angel said arguing.
“Ok, well since you two can’t decide, Lauren and I will. Lauren, what would you like to ride?”-Nick
“Hmmm....how about Alpengeist?” Lauren said pointing to a huge, inverted roller coaster that had many upside-downs.
“Sounds good to me.” Nick said as they started to walk towards it. After waiting in line for awhile they were finally reaching the boarding area.
“I wanna sit next to Lauren.”-Angel
“No, I want to!”-Aaron
“I called it first!”-Angel
“Angel, I’ll sit next to you on this ride, and Aaron on the next ride I’ll sit by you.” Lauren said as they stepped onto the roller coaster. The rest of the day was spent riding rides, playing games, and eating. ‘Ok, let’s go now.”-Nick
“Yeah, I agree.”-Lauren
“Fine,” Aaron and Angel finally gave in. About 10 minutes into the ride Angel and Aaron were fast asleep.
“Thanks again for today. I mean it really helped to take my mind off certain things.”-Lauren
“No problem.”-Nick
“Hey, sometime you wanna take me out on your boat again? It would be fun if I’m not crying the whole time.”-Lauren
“Yeah, actually after I put Aaron and Angel to bed I was going to take it out. You can join me if you’d like.”-Nick
“Ok, I’d love to.” Lauren said as they pulled into Nick’s driveway.
“Give me 20 minutes and then we can go out there,” Nick said getting out of the car,
“Now, help me get these two out of here. You get Aaron, I’ve got Angel.”
“Ok,” Lauren said gently picking up Aaron and carrying him inside. Once inside she carried him up to Angel’s room and tucked him in.
“Night Aaron,” she said kissing him on the forehead. She waited for Nick to tuck Angel in and then they turned off the light and walked out of the room.
“Thanks for helping me and for coming along today. Aaron and Angel really like you.”-Nick
“You’re welcome. They are such cute kids.”-Lauren
“Yeah, but you’ll change your mind after living with them for a few days.” Nick said jokingly. “Well, we better get out to the boat before it gets too late.”
“Yeah,” Lauren said as they walked out the back door and down to the dock. They were soon out on the waves and Lauren just sat on the back of the boat letting the breeze blow through her hair. It was a nice, clear night, and you could see all the stars in the sky. Nick came and sat down next to her.
“So, why’d you come to me when all of this stuff between you and AJ happened?” Nick said breaking the silence.
“I trust you, and I really needed someone to talk to.”-Lauren
“Were you really going to leave?”-Nick
“Yeah.”-Lauren
“Why?”-Nick
“Because I thought that leaving would make all of my problems go away, but I realized that it wouldn’t.”-Lauren
“I’m glad you came to me, and I’m so glad we’re friends. It means so much to me....you mean so much to me.”-Nick
“You mean a lot to me too. Maybe, in a way, I’m glad AJ and I are over. Maybe it wasn’t meant to be.”-Lauren
“Do you have any idea who you think you were meant to be with?”-Nick
“I don’t know. Maybe you....I mean why after That’s kinda strange, don’t ya think?”-Lauren
“Yeah, that’s what I think too.”-Nick
“What would happen if you and I were more than friends. I mean do you think it would work?”-Lauren
“We could see,” Nick said as he leaned over and passionately kissed her.
“That was nice,” Lauren whispered, trying not to let Nick hear her. “Was it really?” Nick asked as Lauren’s face turned red and she started to laugh. Then she pulled him close and started to kiss him. They made out for awhile.
“Um....maybe we should go in, it’s getting kinda late.”-Lauren
“Uh....do you wanna sleep on the hammock with me?” That’s where I was planning on sleeping.”-Nick
“Sure.”-Lauren
“I was hoping you’d say that.”-Nick
A few minutes later they tied the boat up, went to the house to get a blanket, and were back outside on the way to the hammock.
“So.....are we officially MORE than friends?” Lauren asked as they lay wrapped up in the blanket on the hammock.
“I hope so,” Nick said leaning over as he gently kissed her on the cheek.
Writer's note: Alpengiest is a roller coaster at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. I have never been to Busch Gardens in Tampa, so I dind't know the names of any roller coasters there.
