It is about 3 months after Sonny used the information that Jason gave him to get Carly away from the Q's.

Chapter 1

Sonny's Penthouse

"Sonny we have to make a decision on these" Carly exclaimed as she busted into Sonny's bedroom, fabric swatches and paint samples in hand.

Sonny rolled over in bed and groaned "It's three in the morning Carly we do NOT need to decide RIGHT now."

Ever since Carly's latest trip to the doctors had revealed that she was caring twins she had been on the decorating warpath, saying that they had the same amount of time to do twice as much.

"But Sonny" she cooed "I won't get any sleep until we at least settle on the color schemes."

"Fine" Sonny sat straight up against his headboard, "let me see what you got." Carly face lit up with a smile, as she jumped onto the bed next to him proudly displaying the swatches and samples that she liked the best. Sonny could not believe that he was looking at this stuff at three in the morning, but since the discovery that Carly was going to make him a father twice over, he had found it twice as impossible to deny her anything.

Two hours later, Sonny's Penthouse.

Sonny looked up from the swatches that Carly insisted that he study, to find that she has fallen asleep next to him on the bed. Sonny offered a silent prayer of thanks, and carefully slid off the bed. Wrapping himself in his robe he headed down the stairs in search of a cup of coffee.

With his Coffee in hand Sonny had just made himself comfortable on the couch with some business papers that he had been meaning to look at, when the shrill ringing of the phone interrupted his rare silence. Jumping up from the couch Sonny rushed to answer the phone before the ringing woke Carly and he was forced to deal with another on of her decorating crisis.

"Corinthos", Sonny whispered into the receiver, not taking any chances.

"Sonny, man, I need your help", came Luke's tense voice from the other end of the line, "Can you come down to the club now".

"I'll be right there"; Sonny replied quickly, knowing that Luke would not have called in the middle of the night if it were not something major. Dressing quickly Sonny flew out the door, but not before taking the time to leave a note for Carly to tell her where he had gone. Though it had not been long ago that Sonny had told Carly that they share space not a life, Sonny now tried to tell Carly were he was going whenever possible to keep her from worrying, it was better for his unborn children if Carly was not worrying so much.

Luke's Club.

Luke was pacing the floor of his office impatiently when Sonny arrived.

"What's the emergency", Sonny asked curiously, he has never seen Luke wound up this tight before.

"It's Lucky, Fasion just told me that my son is alive that that witch Helena has him."

"I'm not sure if I believe him," Luke continued, "it could just be another one of Fasion's mind games, but I have to find out for sure."

"What do you want me to do?" Sonny asked, though he was used to taking the order, he knew that this was Luke's show, and he respected that.

"I'm leaving tonight for Greece, Roy is coming with me. I need you to stay here and take care of things for he while I'm gone. Make sure that the rest of my family is safe, keep an eye on Luke's and Kelly's for me, and keep you ear to the ground, anything you hear Let me know"

"What ever you need man." Though Sonny wished he could go to Greece with Luke, he knew that it was just important to Luke to have someone he trust looking after things while he was gone. Plus Luke would have Roy to watch back, and Sonny had a rather pregnant woman at home to deal with.

"I'll call you from Greece as soon as I know anything, and Sonny don't tell anyone including Laura, if Lucky is not out there somewhere I don't want her to go through the pain of losing her son a second time." Sonny nodded his head in silent agreement, the two men embraced, and Sonny left.

Chapter 2

Kelly's

"What do you think Mama, the blue with the balloon border, or yellow with the kitten border" Carly asked holding up the wallpaper swatches and paint samples for Bobbie's opinion.

"I would go with the blue/balloon combo, the kittens are kinda ugly" Bobbie replied as she poured her daughter a cup of tea, and then sat in the seat opposite her for a better look at the mess of samples and swatches that Carly laid out on the table. "Did you ask Sonny what he wants"

"Sure I did" replied Carly with a little laugh, "At three o'clock this morning."

"You did not" Bobbie looked at her daughter with her eyes wide and a smile creeping up the sides of her mouth. "Why on earth did you do that?"

"Because when I woke up in the middle of the night it suddenly became very important that we decide the decor for the baby's nursery right away. So a busted into Sonny room and insisted that we make a decision"

"You did not," Bobbie said in disbelief.

"I did so, and that's not all" Carly could not help from grinning just a little as she continued "while Sonny was looking at the swatches I fell asleep on his bed. He is not going to be happy with me the next time I see him."

"You got that right", came Sonny voice as he appeared behind Carly. Bobbie quickly excused herself, saying that she had to deal with another customer, the truth was that she did not want to be in the middle of an argument between these two again.

"What the hell were you thinking last night, you needed to get your sleep, but instead you were obsessed with decorating. Come on" Sonny rose from his chair and motioned for Carly to do the same "I'm taking you home so that we can both get some much needed rest". Though the pout that her lips formed made it quite obvious that Carly did not like the idea, she did not voice a single objection as Sonny helped her into her coat.

Sonny's Penthouse.

"What am I suppose to do cooped up in this apparent all day" Carly whined as Sonny ushered her into the penthouse, and Johnny silently closed the door behind them.

"Sleep, the doctor said that you need plenty of rest"

"All I do is sleep, the reason that I am up in the middle of the night is because you, Bobbie, and Leticia are always sending me to bed in the middle of the afternoon. I can't sleep all the time you know. I need stuff to do during the day, that's why I want to really get started on the nursery, I'll have something to concentrate on."

"Fine", Sonny was in no mood to have another full-scale argument with Carly, "I'll make you a deal. You got upstairs and rest for two hours, and then we will make the final decisions on the paint and wallpaper for the nursery. All right"

"Promise?" Carly asked hopefully.

"Yes I promise, now go." a radiant smile lit up Carly's face as she pounced up the stairs two at a time despite Sonny warning to be careful.

Sonny Penthouse, two hours later.

Carly quickly climbed down the stairs surprised at how anxious she was to hear Sonny suggestions on the baby's nursery. But she stopped dead in her tracks when she heard the hush sound of Benny and Sonny's voices. Not wanting to hear anything that she shouldn't Carly was about to retreat her steps up the stairs when she caught the tail end of Sonny's sentence.

"…if Lucky Spencer is alive!!"

Unable to resist Carly crept down a few more stairs and strained to listen. "I want our best guys out their trying to find out anything about Helena, and Fasion, and any connection that they have to the fire that supposedly killed Lucky"

"Right on it boss" Benny could tell how important it was to Sonny to find the Spencer boy alive, even though it had been discovered that the fire that killed him was an accident, Sonny had never stopped blaming himself.

"And be discreet about it Benny, I don't want anyone to figure out that we suspect Lucky survived. That includes Laura and Bobbie Spencer, Luke wants to be sure before he risks breaking their hearts again. Anything you find out report to me straight away, I want to have something to tell Luke when he phones from Greece."

As she heard Benny leave Carly rushed back up the stair careful not to make a sound. She took a second to sit on her bed and take in what she had just heard, before grabbing her purse and jacket and rushing back down the stairs, being certain to make plenty of noise so Sonny would know she was coming.

"Wow I'm impressed, you actually stayed up there for the whole two hours" Sonny looked up from the paper on his desk that he was studding, "What's with the coat?"

"I have to go out for a while."

"What about the decorating stuff."

"There is plenty of time before the babies are born, we'll do it later" And Carly was out the door before Sonny could get another word out.

Chapter 3

The docks.

Carly looked out at the water with tears in her eyes. She had never known Lucky, and that was something that she had always regretted. She was surprised at how hard the news that Lucky could be alive had hit her. When she had left the penthouse she had every intention of finding Bobbie and telling her mother what she had over heard. But some where between Sonny's and the brownstone the logic behind Luke's decision to keep it a secret had sunk in and Carly had ended up on the docks unsure of what to do next. She looked over her shoulder to see Francis standing not far behind her, he had followed her from the penthouse being sure to stay close enough to protect her and far enough as not to crowd her. Carly gave Francis a quick smile deciding if she spoke softly enough, with her back turned to him he would not be able to hear what she said. She took the cell phone that Sonny had given her in case of emergencies out of her purse, and dialed a number that she knew all too well, having dialed it a countless amount of times before.

"Jimmy here", came a voice from across the line, and across time. Jimmy had once been her lover, but more importantly he had been her friend. The last time that she saw him he made her promise that if she ever needed his help she would call him. And she needed his help now more then ever.

"Jimmy, its Caroline. I need your help, it's really important"; there was a tremor in Carly's voice as she spoke.

"Of course whatever you need Caroline", Carly allowed herself a little smile, she had always loved how Jimmy was their for his friends no questions asked, she had always been honored to be counted as one of his friends.

"Can you meet me at the docks in about two hours"

"I'll be there"; Carly let out a sigh of relief as she hung up the phone. Jimmy would be able to get the information from the street that Sonny could not. Sonny and Jimmy were the exact opposites, everyone know who Sonny was, but no one actually knew him, while everyone knew Jimmy, but no one knew who he was. Jimmy always had a hand in everything; he always knew what was going on. She looked behind her at Francis, she had two hours to find away to get rid of her shadow.

The docks, two hours later.

Carly looked over her shoulder; she had slipped out the back at Kelly's, while Francis was on the phone to Sonny. She knew that she did not have a lot of time till she was found, and when the time came there would be hell to pay. Oh well, it was for a good cause, plus she needed a good fight anyway. Carly saw a figure approaching her in the dark, she knew instantly that it saw Jimmy; he had not changed one bit. His slender build and reduced height had always allowed Jimmy to move around without being noticed.

"Jimmy", Carly pulled her old friend into an embrace holding on to him tight, as though she would never let him go. As the two finally separated, Jimmy eyes went straight to Carly's rounded stomach.

"So it's true what their saying, your carrying Sonny Corinthos' baby" Carly gave Jimmy a crocked smile, she should have know that Jimmy had heard about the baby by now.

"So what can I do for you Caroline"

"I need the kinda information that only you can get. There was a fire about a year ago that killed a young boy, Lucky Spencer"

"Yea I heard about that, Sonny had his guys looking hard for the source behind the fire, that was until the cops said it was an accident."

"While it turns out that the fire might not have been so accidental after all, and the Lucky Spencer might not be so dead either. I need you to find out if there is any chance that someone used the fire as a way of covering up something bigger, and if so who and why."

"Sure I'll do everything I can to dig up anything, one question though. Why is this so important to you?"

"I found my mother Jimmy, and Lucky Spencer is my cousin." Jimmy smiled; he knew how important it had been to Carly to find the women that gave birth to her.

"Carly" Francis' voice called out. Carly could tell that he was not far away, she handed Jimmy a paper with her cell number written on it. He promised to call as soon as he knew anything, and with a quick kiss on the cheek he disappeared just second before Francis arrived.

Sonny's penthouse.

"I found her boss" Francis ushered Carly into the penthouse where Sonny was pacing the floor impatiently.

"Where the hell have you been, and what the hell do you think you were doing skipping out on Francis like that", Carly sighed, as though she thought it was ridiculous for her to have to explain her actions.

"I just needed some time alone", Carly was careful to keep her voice soft as she spoke.

"I thought that you understood that Francis was there for you own protection. How could you have been so stupid? What if something would have happened to you?"

"Yea right, you don't care what happens to me, Francis is just a babysitter because you are afraid that I will do something to hurt the baby's. So don't try to pretend that you give a dam about me, 'cause I know better" as soon as the words were out of her mouth Carly knew that it was the wrong thing to say.

"I do care what happens to you" Sonny voice was low and husky. He grabbed Carly's face between his hands and forced her to meet his eyes, eyes deep with emotion. As she stared into those eyes Carly began to believe that she could become lost in them forever. The two moved closer together being pulled by an unknown force, all though they stood as close to each other as two people could get it did not seem close enough. But as soon as the spell was created, it was broken, by the ringing of Sonny's phone.

"Dam it" Sonny swore under his breath as he broke away from Carly, and she hurried up the stairs before he got a chance to stop her.

"This better be good," Sonny said into the phone, his voice still husky from his confrontation with Carly.

"Sonny it's me, I'm back from Greece. Can you come down to the club right away."

"Sure, I'll be right their", knowing that their was nothing he could do about Carly right now he thought he could at least help Luke.

Chapter 4

Luke's

Sonny walked into Luke's office to find Luke seated behind his desk, bent over a notebook computer. Sonny decided that whatever it was that Luke was looking at it must be very interesting because he did not seem to even notice Sonny had came in.

"What did you find in Greece?" Luke looked up, surprised to see Sonny standing before him.

"Helena is definitely up to something, whether it has to do with my son or not I can't say. I found a few leads but nothing concrete."

"What are you looking at their" Sonny motioned to the computer that had Luke captivated moments earlier.

"I'm looking at Helena and Fasion's finical records, Fasion bought a property in northern Ontario just months before he died. I should cheek that out, there could be something to it." Luke did not seem hopeful when he spoke.

"Why is it that you don't sound to convinced that you found what you're looking for."

"It just doesn't feel right. It's too easy, I don't see Helena and Fasion going to all that trouble to make it look like Lucky was dead, then leave such a obvious clue behind. If my son is alive, Helena has him good and hidden" Just then a gasp came from the doorway that lead from the club to the office. Sonny and Luke both looked up to see Laura standing their, the shock on her face made it more than apparent that she had over heard their conversation.

"Lucky is alive?" Laura voice was a whisper; she took a few tentative steps towards Luke waiting for an answer, needing an answer.

"Now Angel calm down. I don't know anything for sure, but before he died Fasion told me that he and Helena had set the fire up as a cover for kidnapping our boy." Luke reached out and took hold of Laura's trembling hands. "It could just be another mind game, this is just the sort of thing that Fasion does."

"But there is a chance, Lucky could be alive"

"Yes baby he could" Laura threw her arms around Luke, as the two embraced tears fell down Laura's cheeks.

"We have to find him Luke, he needs us."

"I'm on it" Luke told Laura about his trip to Greece, and what he had discover diggings through Helena and Fasion's finances.

"Then we have to go to Canada, now. And don't even say it Luke. You went to look for my son without me once before, you are not going without me again" Luke nodded, knowing that he would just waste time fighting with Laura, and in the end he would lose.

"You have an hour to get ready. I'll pick you up at the house, and be sure to pack some warm clothes." After Laura left, Sonny who had been silent up until now excused himself promising to look after things in Port Charles while Luke was gone.

Sonny's Penthouse.

As Sonny entered the penthouse he was hit with the mouth watering smell of homemade tomato sauce, coming from the kitchen. He knew that Carly could not be responsible for the intoxicating aroma, she couldn't even make toast without burning it. Sonny entered the kitchen to find Carly and Mike; Carly was tasting some of the sauce from a wooden spoon that Mike held out to her.

"Mike, that tastes divine. Now I know where Sonny got his ability to cook." a sarcastic laugh from Sonny brought Carly and Mike’s attention away from the sauce and towards him.

"Sonny great your home just in time to join us for dinner" Mike gestured to the fresh pasta and salad that he had created, turning his attention to Carly Mike asked "Why don't you go and set the table for dinner?" And to Sonny's astonishment Carly did, she had never once done anything he asked without making a big deal about it. He wonder what she was up to now, he had not seen her since their argument the night before, and he was expecting her to still be angry at him.

"What the hell is going on here?" Sonny asked Mike after Carly left the room.

"I ran into to Carly and Michael at Kelly's, Carly was suppose to have dinner at the brownstone, but Bobbie was called in for emergency surgery. So I offered to come over and cook for her and Michael. Michael just finished eating and Leticia is putting him to bed, Carly and I were just about to sit down and eat ourselves when you came in." Sonny was about to give Mike yet another lecture on getting to involve in his life when Carly came back into the kitchen.

"I was showing Mike my ideas for the baby's nursery, and he came up with some great suggestions, you never told me he had an eye for interior design." Once again Sonny wondered what was going on, suddenly Carly was great friends with Mike. They are cooking and decorating together, it was ridicules.

"You two go sit down and I'll bring the dinner out" Mike shooed the others out of the kitchen. Why not, thought Sonny as he followed Carly, if Mike and Carly wanted to play the perfect family for one night who was he to interfere.

By the end of the night Carly and Mike had picked out the decor for the baby's nursery, and Mike had promised Carly that once the painting was done he would go shopping for furniture with her. Carly and Mike exchanged a hug when he left. Carly was in the middle of excusing herself to go to bed when Sonny caught her hand in his own.

"We need to talk Carly." Sonny said, although he was what he was going to say.

"I’m really tired Sonny, we'll talk tomorrow, ok." Carly gave Sonny an unexpected kiss on the cheek, and headed up stairs.
